I
have
been
a
patient
here
for
the
centres
modern
existence
and
several
entities
before
that.
At
71
years
of
age,
words
fail
me
for
what
passes
as
medical
care.
I
don't
know
what
doctors
do
all
day
there
as
its
virtually
impossible
to
get
an
appointment
to
see
your
GP.
They
are
certainly
not
fulfilling
their
Hippocratic
oath.
You
are
on
the
clock,
the
moment
you
open
your
mouth
to
speak.
Recently
it
has
taken
me
over
2
weeks
to
get
even
a
telephone
consultation
to
discuss
X
Ray
results
and
be
advised
of
a
possible
treatment
plan
for
a
debilitating
condition.
It
is
glaringly
obvious
that
NHS
is
badly
broken
but
it
is
the
fault
of
Governments
not
staff,
especially
those
in
hospitals.
When
phoning
this
centre,
you
cannot
penetrate
the
ring
of
reception
staff
who
though
always
polite
are
unqualified
to
answer
some
of
the
questions
you
need
answered.Continuity
from
a
designated
person
is
ZERO
and
things
have
plumbed
to
the
depths
since
covid
which
is
used
as
the
excuse
for
all
manner
of
inefficiences.
I
have
spoken
to
virtually
every
member
of
reception
staff
whilst
waiting
a
disgraceful
5
weeks
for
X-Ray
results,
having
to
explain
my
case
too
many
times
from
scratch
to
each
staff
member.I
have
waited
up
to
35
mins
to
get
through
on
the
phone
to
even
attempt
to
make
an
appointment.
You
are
bombarded
with
endless
robot
voices
and
muzak
always
terminating
in
your
number
in
the
queue.
If
you
hang
up
and
give
up,
you
have
achieved
nothing.
Personally,
i
have
been
pushed
toward
seeking
private
treatment
at
Ross
Hall
Centre,
where
you
will
most
likely
get
the
same
consultants
that
you
would
on
NHS
without
the
interminable
waiting
time.Can
someone
explain
why
these
doctors
can
find
time
for
Private
Appointments
but
none
on
NHS??
The
answer
is
simply
explained
in
one
word...
Money.
It
is
a
dreadful
betrayal
by
this
incompetent,
self
serving
Tory
Govt
of
elderly
citizens
who
have
paid
a
working
lifetime
of
over
40
years
in
National
insurance
contributions.Can
you
imagine
the
fund
you
could
have
amassed
if
these
contributions
had
been
saved
with
interest,
in
the
decades
before
rates
crashed,
into
a
personal
health
fund
but
we
were
promised
we
would
never
need
that.
Now
at
first
time
of
asking
at
an
advanced
age,
the
promise
is
empty
and
your
contributions
meaningless.
Believe
me
lives
are
at
risk
in
this
current
situation
which
is
worsening
daily.There
are
obvious
reasons
why
things
are
so
bad
but
these
would
be
deemed
too
controversial
for
