Fantastic Family lead Clinic, with an intrinsic focus on getting down to the root cause of the problem. Mhairi has been fantastic in understanding exactly what my needs have been with my foot mobility related issues. Service has been 12/10 and I couldn't recommend enough!

The difference in my walking is remarkable. I am pain-free, walking correctly and have a much better understanding of my condition. I was immediately impressed by the depth of knowledge and the diagnostic skills Mhairi and her team displayed.. it really inspired confidence in my journey. Thanks to you guys, I can now walk my dogs again.

I cannot recommend Mhairi enough! Her expertise is second to none. Having been through various NHS services for pain in my hips and feet and having no success or explanation I didn’t have much hope. However after one appointment with Mhairi, she was not only able to pin point the problem and explain my pain clearly, but came up with a clear treatment plan which resulted in me being pain free after a few months of intervention. After a couple of years I reattended the clinic following an injury, and again Mhairi was able to identify the problem quickly and implemented a new plan. I cannot recommend this service enough.

Mhairi is professional, welcoming and friendly. She just ‘got’ it from the minute I stood on the treadmill. Have been wearing orthotics, from Mhairi, right through lockdown and beyond and can honestly say they have transformed my life. Without the orthotics lots of pain, with orthotics lots of walking and no pain. If you’re struggling with knee, hip or general walking problems I would highly recommend Mhairi and her team. Superb service. Fiona

I was referred to Mhairi by my long term physio in connection with a Plantar Faciitis problem. She took time to understand the extend of the issue and the background, and it is immediately clear she knows her stuff. I have made more progress in three weeks than in the last several months and I'm confident of a long term fix. I have no problem recommending her to anyone with foot, ankle or knee issues.

Great experience - went to the clinic after spraining my ankle midway through marathon training. JD was really helpful and knowledgeable, good at putting people at ease, and knew exactly when I was ready to get running again. I was expecting the worst, but he was really positive about me being able to run the marathon, and gave me an excellent progressive rehab programme that got me fit and pain free to run (and finish!) the race. Everybody at the clinic was really nice too - really friendly and went out their way to help despite my first visit being the week they moved into their new building. Would definitely recommend to anybody looking for sports therapy/rehab!

I visited The Foot and Leg Clinic and had a consultation and Kinetic Chain Release session with Mr. Peacock to help me with neck and back stiffness. Following this session the stiffness was gone and, since then, I have been more aware of my body posture. JD taught me how to correct my posture in my everyday life and, following his advice, I have also been experiencing significant improvement with my migraines syndrome and stability while moving. Everyone in the clinic have been polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend the clinic!

After quite an extensive search over a year or two to find the cause of my ankle pain, my first session with Mhairi was revelatory. I've continued to visit since, and I'd recommend her, and the clinic, to anyone. Fiona is also fantastic, making the place run like clockwork.

The first thing I noticed is the calm and friendly atmosphere. The young therapists are both knowledgeable and enthusiastic about both their own skills and the services the clinic provides to the community. One thing that impressed me is their focus on the wellness of the client rather than their wealth and on the effectiveness of the treatment rather than the cost. The therapists explain in detail what they are doing and the choices of treatment available. To the staff this is more than a job and the clients more than customers.

I have spent a few years in agony with different areas of my body, seeing more physios and other "foot" people than I can count on my hands and then my husband found Mhairi. She's amazing, so easy to talk to, extremely knowledgeable and gets the results you expect from a professional. I recently also had an appointment with her sister Roisin and have to say she came up to the exact same standard. I highly recommend both of them and I will never go anywhere else now I've found them.

My foot problem was getting worse and I knew I needed help. Mhairi has treated me before and I have complete faith in her ability to diagnose and deal with the problem. Professional and skilled she quickly established the problem and I now have custom made insoles to help correct my issue. Without question I would recommend her and the clinic to family and friends. Mhairi puts you at ease instantly and instils a confidence that she can help. I have had a session where she completes a foot manipulation ........definitely magic fingers ?? Superb clinic in the heart of the west end

I have attended othotics and physio. Excellent service in both departments. Assessments were in depth and difficulties were discussed and solutions given. Both Mhairi (orthotics) and Roisin (physiotherapist) were willing to listen and discuss any problems I was having. Each person's needs will be different but my AFO (leg brace) has given me a new lease of life as I like long walks and I am getting continuing support from physiotherapy to improve leg muscles.

I’ve struggled with my feet and calves for years and gave up with them. It got to the point where I could take no more pain and uncomfortableness any longer. I reached out to Mhairi and Linsay in hope that they could mend me. The process or rehabilitation was estimated for 2-3 months. After a month I feel a lot better and now look forward to training soon in the future. Can’t thank them enough. Keep up the good work ??

I have been suffering with ankle pain intermittently for a number of years though it has become more of a problem since i retired and have become a lot more active. An assessment by Mhairi Friel at the Hyndland Foot and Leg Clinic has hopefully got to the root of the issue. Having now had the orthotics - which were specifically moulded for my feet - for over 6 weeks i am walking long distances with a smile on my face. These combined with a session of foot manipulation (to release a bone) and a bit of physio definitely seem to have done the trick. Can i thank you all from the very bottom of my sole!!

I've injured my feet and ankles numerous times playing sport to the point that just walking was difficult and painful. Mhairi's treatment plan helped reduce the pain but also dealt with the underlying cause of the problems which was great. I'm now walking pain free and back playing sport so happy days :) Very professional and effective treatment. Highly recommended.

I have suffered severe hip and leg pain for a long time. Mhairi assessed me and discovered that I was out of alignment on my right side . This has caused an acceleration of osteoarthritis. She organised specialised insoles for my footwear which have made a huge difference. The physiotherapists have also been amazing.

Mhairi provides a brilliant service. I’ve had knee and hip pain for years and now, thanks to Mhairi I know the cause and she has given me the right treatment to sort it out. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field and thorough in her diagnostic techniques, explaining everything as she goes through the process. Very approachable and easy to communicate with. Thoroughly recommended !

Mhairi and her team at The Foot & Leg Clinic have provided some much needed pain relief from my on-going diabetic peripheral neuropathy condition. Her 'opening up of the foot' treatment combined with foot and ankle muscle strengthening exercises have improved my overall condition. Mhairi's well-being Mantra is "drink gallons of water" - which is fine, unless you're s 65+ male patient ;-)

I'm so glad a friend told me about the Body, Foot & Leg Clinic. I have been in pain for over a year with my foot/ankle and already, after 3 visits, the pain has diminished by about 75%. Mhairi is very friendly and professional and explains everything really well. Jenny, the physio, is brilliant too. She really got my foot moving and was very gentle when manipulating it. The premises are lovely and modern too, with pleasant waiting area.

Fantastic service! My feet had been troubling me for over a year after completing my walking challenge. Even working from home to give them plenty of rest did not heal them. With their excellent help and friendly service, they provided me insoles and exercises that are making a remarkable difference. My feet are improving, and I am enjoying walking the dogs again.

My wife and I want to express a huge thank you to the Body Foot and Leg Clinic! They gave me my mobility back, in addition to saving our tenth anniversary holiday. We had been planning a ten day hiking trip through Ireland for our tenth anniversary. Having no previous feet problems, we were very surprised when I starting having severe pain in my left foot about 4 months before our trip. I was soon diagnosed with early plantar fibroma, a mass growing on the inside of my left foot. After trying a few other suggested options, such as a cortisol shot, we saw no progress. Surgery was recommended as likely our only remaining option. However, my wife and I were determined to start with the least invasive options first. In that search, we found the Body, Foot and Leg Clinic in Glasgow. Between prescribed therapy at the clinic, orthotics and daily exercises, they had me back on my feet in remarkable time. My wife and I were able to go on our tenth anniversary trip with no changes to our original plans. They brought me from crutches to hiking with no surgery, and at a significantly lower cost I might add. Additionally, the entire staff, from answering emails to the clinicians brought world quality service that is so genuine it almost takes you by surprise. Of note, we flew in from out of country to this clinic. It was worth EVERY POUND. Thank you so much, to the entire clinic!

Fantastic, friendly, caring & skilled physio! I went feeling very down about my situation and Noah helped me not only feel more positive about my situation, but also gave me simple but effective exercises that I could fit around a busy schedule with two children. Already seeing a difference in a few weeks. Highly recommended.

I have been having knee and low back pain for a while, and the custom orthotics they made for me got my feet sorted. This properly supports the arches of the foot and removes stress in the knees, hips, and low back. The product is of very good quality and feels like it will last a long time. Will be ordering a second pair for another pair of shoes in the future.

I went here to get a months long muscular leg injury dealth with and I had Noah Black as my physiotherapist. He was very friendly and personal, we had great conversations and I learned a lot. I got a few exercises shown to me, and somehow I went from not being able to run, to hitting my best runs of all time. Then I got a couple of additional great exercises shown to me that I could use in the gym as well that will prevent this injury in the future. 11/10, absolutely amazing. I'm very happy with them. Prices are average, the service is top quality. Would recommend for anyone who has a leg injury. I even got a few tips with some other exercises I have questions about. And the second session we sorted everything out pretty fast because of how effective the last one was, so I got a leg massage in the remainder of the session which was very relaxing. It loosened my leg muscles up a lot from the previous day of training. I would recommend this clinic whether you are an athlete, gym goer or someone who doesn't exercise all that much. They will help you out.

I went to Body Foot and Leg clinic having suffered from plantar fasciitis that had adversely affected my day to day living. Mhairi very quickly identified the cause and I have seen almost instant improvement. I am now over 6 months with zero pain and able to go about life with no issues. The entire team from the moment you enter the building are welcoming, professional and provide an all around amazing experience

Went for initial consultation and to plan the best option for my plantar fascitis problem. Mhairi was great and very professional, made me feel at ease . The shockwave therapy went very well over the next few weeks and i was made feel very relaxed during the process. I had 2 different people doing the treatment and both were spot on. Iam still going through the healing process so probably too soon to tell if successful. It certainly has improved the situation for me and look forward to pain free walking.

I went for a biomechanical assessment due to bunion pain and have spanky new insoles that relieve my bunion pain and I'm able to run again - yippee. I had 3 sessions of Kinetic Chain Release (KCR) to get my body 'back into alignment' which I was open minded about but had no idea what to expect. Over the years I've employed remedial and sports massage, osteopathy, acupuncture, cranio-sacral therapies, etc. to help alleviate persistent neck and shoulder pain. KCR went to the source rather than treating the symptoms and I've not had any neck and shoulder pain since the first treatment a few months ago. It's weird how it works but I'm a convert back in alignment and away running pain-free thanks to my insoles and some clever foot exercises...Thanks Mhairi, JD and the team!

Attended the clinic with pain in my toes, thought it was related to injury during a HIT class at the gym but quickly diagnosed by Mhairi as an issue with my foot rolling inwards. Insole created and pain-free ever since. Great service!

Mhairi is brilliant, cured my persistent lower leg and Achilles problems a while back allowing me to run injury free and complete a marathon. Now helping me adjust to a change of sport (hockey) and invaluable insight and treatment. Patient and thoughtful and the service is also very efficient, thank you!

Mhairi has been brilliant working with me to help with pain and mobilisation of my foot which had been a problem for a long time. I had seen various podiatrists along the way with very little gain but was lucky enough to be recommended by a friend to Mhairi. Her expertise and patience have got me back running and living life to the full! Thanks Mhairi!

I was recommended by a family member to use this clinic after he had pains in his legs for years. NHS told him it was due to wear and tear and age. He visited and got orthotics and has never looked back. I have suffered from back ache for a number of years and was trying to get a bit fitter but my legs and ankles just weren't allowing me to walk due to pain and burning sensations. I went for a biomechanical assessment and was told/shown on video how my body was out of alignment. I was fitted with orthotics and had some physio, almost instantly my back pain had gone and when I was walking so was the pain and burning in my lower legs and ankles. Went on holiday to New York and we were walking up to 9 miles a day PAIN FREE, unbelievable but true. I still have a bit to go but I am getting there. I would go as far as saying this has been life changing for me and I would highly recommend anyone struggling with similar issues to see Mhairi.

Insoles have really really helped my knee and hip pain and I'm playing football and running again. 100% worth trying if you have gait, feet or joint issues.

  • 5/5 Rory H. 3 years ago on Google
I had major issues with my legs for years. So much so that I couldn’t run for 10 minutes, without pain. I’d pretty much given up hope of being able to again. I was analysed by Mhairi, who put together an action plan to address the issues (that stemmed from my feet - no one else had considered that) - not long after, I was out running and pain free. I need to manage how much and how often I do it, but regularly running 30km per week and just completed my first half marathon. It was so worth it to get to where I am today.

Been going here for about a month now and its been an absolute treat! Ankle/foot is back to nearly 100% and light running again after hardly being able to walk. Everything about the clinic has been brilliant and if you think there is no way back for the pain/condition you're in you have to get a full gait assessment, it will change everything! Can't wait for another few appointments to be back playing football. Very professional and masters of their craft.

  • 5/5 Paul M. 4 years ago on Google
I cannot praise Mhairi and the team highly enough, for their warm welcome to the clinic and the professional guidance and care, which is always provided with such enthusiasm and humility. To say, that the team work wonders is an understatement, as they all have such passion for their craft. I am now able to walk without pain for the first time in 9 months, through foot mobilisation techniques and a programme of exercising and stretching. If you think that you have met the end of the road, think again, there is always hope and with dedication from this team, they will strive to get you back moving and onto your peak.

I felt very supported going to the foot and leg clinic with some serious issues with my stability and problems with my feet after a hip operation. Mhairi made me feel totally at ease and has given me really good orthotic support going forward. I'd highly recommend her practical services, her emotional support and the clinic's excellent physiotherapy masseuse too. Highly Recommend.

After years of investigations and no practical outcome from the NHS, I made an appointment with Mhairi, who from the start was ever-helpful. My condition isn't run of the mill but she did everything she could, and together with the company that supplied my knee-brace (Brace Orthopaedic - thanks Alex!), the outcome was as good as I could have hoped. Professional, attentive to your needs and very patient - if you need to see a specialist, I can't recommend the Foot and Leg Clinic enough.

Excellent place. Wish I'd come to see Mhairi months ago. After 7 months of foot and ankle pain, I had lost my confidence and was feeling pretty low. Mhairi instilled confidence that I would be pain free again. After custom orthotics and foot mobilisation sessions with a few more to go, I am definitely in less pain and looking forward to getting properly used to my orthotics.

Prior to being treated by Mhairi at The Foot and Leg Clinic, I had spent various amounts of money on insoles and products that were advertised as being able to ease my calf pain, or correct my posture, or generally give me the piece of mind I was looking for. Sometime around Easter 2019, I visited The Foot and Leg Clinic for a consultation. Mhairi was excellent, carrying out a full assessment and very quickly diagnosing the problem. The solution was custom orthotics, and throughout the whole process (assessment, picking up the orthotics, aftercare) Mhairi was first class. I feel like I wasted so much time and money prior to going to the Foot and Leg Clinic - I will never again go through the GP visit/referral to physio/massive waiting list endless cycle. If I have an issue with feet, gait or posture, I will go straight to see Mhairi Friel at The Foot and Leg Clinic because the quality of care and expertise is outstanding, not to mention very good value. Finally, whilst there I mentioned to Mhairi that I was concerned about my son's posture. She told me to bring him along the next time I was there and she assessed him as well, reassuring me and pointing us in the right direction for further treatment. It is not every health care professional that would be able to deliver this quality of care, so if you are having any doubts at all whether or not a visit to The Foot and Leg Clinic is for you, be absolutely reassured that you are going to see someone at the very top of the field who will find the solution that is right for you! Make that appointment.

I have been a happy client for 3 years after looking for custom made orthotics that I require to live a comfortable and pain free life. These are well made and very durable. I highly recommend this service. More recently I returned due to the onset of plantar fasciitis. In addition to the prescribed exercises I underwent shockwave therapy. Not for the faint hearted, since it definitely hurts during the short sessions, BUT the more you can tolerate the better the end result. Whilst still early days I anticipate a faster and lasting improvement thanks to Mhairi’s expertise.

I'm currently being treated by Mhairi for a foot complaint that had stopped me from running for months. Within 2 weeks of attending the clinic (allowing for time to let the injury settle), I was back running without pain. So far, I have attended the clinic for my initial assessment, had 2 orthotic shoe inserts and had 2 shorter drop-in follow-up appointments with Mhairi and it has only cost me the price of my original assessment. I was expecting to pay for much more than I have and it would have been a small price to pay for the freedom I've got back from being able to run again - I just wish I had found the clinic months earlier!!
