Staff are so helpful, explained about what they were going to be doing to help my puppy,. They kept me up to date with procedures and phoned to ask if they could do more tests. So communication is great. Only downside Is the parking at the facility as its a small car park and other patients with their pets take up extra room in order to get their own pet in their car. Apart from that it's definitely a five star review

Our cat Finn attended Vets Now in Glasgow following a referral from our local vet and we couldn’t have been happier with the care he was given. The consultation with Alix the vet was open, honest and thorough and we felt Finn was in very good hands for his stay. Communication with ourselves and our local vet continued following his discharge to discuss test results and plan his on going treatment. I would definitely recommend Vets Now in Glasgow if your pet needs specialist care.

Had an absolutely devastating experience last week where our 20 month old puppy developed a bad case of hemorrhagic gastroenteritis and had to be put to sleep in the end after not responding to treatment. At first the reception staff were excellent and reassuring. After waiting 2 hours we were brought through and right away large figures of money were being thrown at us before we even received an update about our boy, to the point I had to ask the person to stop and give me an update on my puppy's health which was most important. We were quoted £3500 (conveniently the exact same amount our insurance covered) for a full night stay in intensive care and also advised that should he need specialist treatment the bill could go up to £9000-10,000. Also £300 had to be paid there and then for out of hours cover, admin fees and something else. We left and were told to await updates. Once we were home and eagerly waiting, we received a call and right away were asked if we would want our boy resuscitated should his heart stop and how many times we would like them to try!? I understand these questions need to be asked however they were put so bluntly to us without any update about Freddie's condition or any emotional intelligence being applied at a really horrible time. Unfortunately we were called back in and somehow we were now quoted £15-20K for the same overnight treatment as before. We asked again to stop with the money chat and whether our boy was well enough to survive further treatment and ultimately the answer was no. As he was too far gone and in a lot of pain at this point and had to be put to sleep. When getting our dog into the car to take him home to bury him (heartbroken and in tears) the same vet loudly announced that euthanasia is not covered in our insurance and we will receive a bill for this. I'm sure a follow up call could have been made at a different time to discuss this. I don't doubt for a second that our Freddie received all the care he needed from the vets and we really appreciated the keyring and pawprint the staff gave us, however the lack of emotional intelligence and sympathy by a certain vet made an already devastating situation 10 times harder for us. I have now also been made aware that if a person who is on benefits/welfare takes their pet into Vets Now, they are asked for a donation of no minimal amount in place of the huge bills that are put to others, which will ultimately have an impact of the level of care they are able to opt for their pet.

Our wee border collie Dash is currently under the care of the oncology team and although we know our time with him is limited, the support and care have been beyond excellent. Massive thanks to everyone at Vets Now. Every single person we have dealt with-nurses, vets, reception- has been outstanding. But special thanks go to the oncology team- in particular Pamela and Jenny, who have been above and beyond the call of duty within and outwith hours. As has Donald - his support in decision making, and his skill in the initial surgery gave us hope- and wee Dash with his determination to survive hasn't let him down! Our last dog Fudge was also cared for and in fact passed there, under the compassion and care of Tobias. I will be forever grateful to the entire team as well as to our own vets at Low Waters in Hamilton. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Myself and my partner appreciate the care that was provided to our young puppy Nova prior to her passing. I do believe you tried everything possible to save my gorgeous girl. Unfortunately I am heartbroken with the financial side of things and I do not blame the staff but the company. We were quoted £6-8k in total for a 4 day stay and was expected to pay £4.4K in 24hours - they were very rigid around this and were very unhelpful in regards to discussion around aids or payment plans. There was no offer to help us financially and essentially said that if we couldn’t pay we would have to put our puppy to sleep which is completely immoral and on discussion with other vet practices we were advised we should have been offered the rehoming process to allow her a chance of survival even if it meant we couldn’t continue her ownership. In the end Nova required to be put to sleep due to weight loss and no signs of improvement not related to financial issues. Immediately after putting our dog down we were asked for the remaining payment of £2000. This felt very cold considering the loss of our best friend. Again they offered no payment plan or support for this and also refused to take funds from a charity support stating the payment would have to come from us and the charity to then pay us and that they couldn’t deal with charity direct. This was all very upsetting and stressful on top of an already devastating situation. I feel that vets now should develop a payment scheme so that animals who have a chance of survival are not being immorally put to sleep due to financial struggles. We really hope no one else has to go through what we went through.

All staff were so caring and friendly at such a difficult time for us. Took great care of our little girl and made us feel at ease. We are very grateful that our girl was so well cared for and can’t thank them enough.

Took my dog in when she was very ill. Triage process seemed rather chaotic as it took hours for her to be seen despite being visibly very poorly, and had to chase repeatedly to ensure that she was. In fairness, I must say that I can't fault the care given once she was eventually taken through. Vet staff were thorough, and did a good job of explaining what was happening. Unfortunately, my dog was too ill and the decision had to be made to euthanise her. We arranged for an individual cremation, as it was important to us to be able to scatter her ashes somewhere meaningful to us. After waiting weeks to receive her ashes, we chased to be told that they had screwed up and sent her for a group cremation, with her ashes now scattered in an industrial estate somewhere in Livingston. They have done what they can to make it right, but all this amounts to is a refund of the cremation cost. It's a mistake that can't really be rectified. Though it may be only a small admin error on their part, it has caused myself and our family a great deal of upset. This has completely destroyed whatever trust I might have had in them. Should I find myself in need of an emergency vet in future, I will do everything I can to avoid returning here.

Exceptional vet care - specialist vets with detailed and up to date knowledge about diagnosis and treatments. I was given lots of information about my pets illness and very upfront estimates of the costs of treatment options. The treatment was very expensive but the vet continually gave us options for cost-saving throughout and supported the decisions we made. On top of this, every member of staff has been extremely caring and my dog loves attending this vet hospital - she runs in desperate to see her friends even though she’s had dozens of invasive treatments here (and this friendliness is not usually her nature). I couldn’t recommend this vet practise enough.

We had to visit this vets today and, sadly, had to say goodbye to my mums presious girl. I cannot recommend them highly enough for the care and heartfelt treatment she received. They were so genuinely caring and could not do enough to help both our Molly and us. Thanks guys you made a hard decision that bit softer. Xxx

Our dog Jimmy was admitted into critical care and if it wasn’t for vets now and their amazing time , round the clock care and attention he wouldn’t be here with us today. From the bottom of our hearts we can not thank them enough for allowing us to bring our Jimmy home

We received a fantastic service and support throughout recent emergency treatment of our little dog during the New Year period. We were given detailed descriptions on the treatment options available to help inform our decisions on next steps. Frequent updates were provided on the dogs condition. The Vet and supporting staff were very professional and excellent throughout and the care and attention provided was superb 👏 Thanks everyone and I have no hesitation in recommending Vets Now services.

Contacted the team with an emergency regards my 8 week old puppy. Appointment was made immediately over the phone. Staff were so lovely at the hospital. Took my wee pup in their arms like their own. Fortunately everything with pup was ok and we were able to take her home in the knowledge she was well and safe. Fantastic team. Highly recommend. Definitely pug me at ease being a first time parent to an adorable wee puppy. Thanks to the team....

The main reason I gave my review 4 stars was because although the staff were very pleasant and helpful I did not like the fact that my dog was examined in a completely different room, even though I was left sitting in the consultant room where she could have been examined. She was already stressed from what had happened to her and then the car journey (which she has never liked) and then being taken into another room by strangers. Had I been at my own vet she would have been examined in front of me in the consultant room. So as far as treatment goes I was happy with it but if I had to attend in future I would not be happy to have my dog examined in another room from me.

Unfortunately have had to use the hospital service on three occasions over the last few years, the most recent on Sunday this week for our cat (peanut) Never an issue getting an emergency appointment and the in-house service from reception,to triage, then the vet has always been excellent and professional yet friendly. Thank you. Highly recommended.

Was greeted warm and friendly at reception, my dog (Diva) was being kept in overnight to try stabilise her for possible surgery the next day at her own vets. The staff were very nice and advised me of there course of treatment my dog would have that night, I picked her up the following morning again I was welcomed by other staff who were also lovely. Thank you for doing everything you could for Diva, unfortunately she crossed the rainbow bridge on Thursday evening, this has no reflection on the care she received at Vets Now, Diva had other medical complications.

AVOID My ex partner brought our 6 year old Border Collie here with a stick stuck in his throat at approximately 8pm. She was advised that due to the nature and potential complications of the injury, they would be instructing their specialist team to undertake the surgery. Before she could even process this she was being told to pay deposits of up to £2-3,000 and asked if she can afford the surgery or if the dog has insurance. The following morning between the hours of 8am-9pm she received a phone call advising that the cost of this surgery, including his stay overnight would be in the region of £11,000 due to the CT scan being expensive. She told them that this amount may be out of her reach so questioned what her other options were and she was advised the only other thing to do was to put the dog to sleep! I work in the medical field in a senior management position and know that CT scans can be expensive, but 11k, absolutely no way should it be anywhere near this!! I find it disgusting that they didn’t even suggest an X-Ray (cheaper alternative) when they knew 10k may not be an option at that point. The advice given was CT scan and specialist team or euthanasia. My ex partner asked me for financial assistance at this point to just pay this so they could give him treatment as by this point he’d been laying in their room overnight with nothing more than pain relief (not even an antibiotic). Instead of throwing money at this greedy company, we decided to get a second (and third and fourth) opinion in which all of the vets were very, very shocked at the price and treatment we’d received. Ultimately, we took our dog to the Glasgow University Small Pets Hospital where he got two CT scans, cameras, antibiotics etc, and a specialist team to look after him and all that was required was the stick to be pulled out. A simple X-Ray could have shown that the stick hadn’t penetrated anything and was just lodged in his throat!! We paid £2,000 for the full treatment elsewhere, a difference of £9,000. This is for the exact same treatment (with even more CT scans and better surgeons). Unfortunately we lost our dog due to inflammatory response syndrome after the stick had been taken out. It’s thought that this happened because of the amount of time he waited for treatment because VetsNow left him overnight with no treatment until they could get somebody else to phone us in the morning to get the most amount of money they could out of us! For clarity, they left him in a room all night with a stick hanging out his throat with not as much as an antibiotic! I will be taking this further. ***Put simply for those who don’t want to read this long review, VetsNow are not the only emergency hospital out there. Their vets are no better than those elsewhere, and in fact probably get commission on what they sell you. Our six year old Collie needlessly died because of their negligence. Go elsewhere at any costs. Your pet will be safer and you won’t be extorted. You’ll probably find your local vets has an out of hours service - double check!!

Staff are so friendly and vets so gentle and kind to your little furry animals. They triaged, ran blood tests, ultrasound, gave pain relief injection, antibiotics and a prescription to take home for my puppy all within 4 hours. As soon as we got home, puppy was starting to feel better (as we were advised would happen) and had food and a little play after 24 hours of refusing anything! After care and advice also arranged with puppys usual vets and everything, good or bad news, clearly and kindly communicated. Amazing hospital for our loved animals 🐾💗 Me & Ollie are very thankful to Laura M the vet who seen to him last night

Unfortunately we had to take our Roxy here on Saturday night but the staff and the speed in which they delt with us was amazing. I can only thank the staff for their professionalism and how well they dealt with Roxy. Thankfully she was back home for early hours on Sunday, considering they had to sedate her then stitch her bottom lip back together. 3 days later and you wouldn't k ow she had been through such a terrible experience. Thank you Vets Now Staff.

Vets now saved my dogs life. I really don't know how they done it if I'm honest. They are nothing short of miracle workers. My dog was treated with love and kindness the entirety of their stay. The staff kept open and honest communications at all times, keeping myself updated on my dogs progress numerous times a day. I really can't express the gratitude I have towards every single staff member but they really did give me my best friend back from a hopeless situation. I even got a photograph sent to my email which really helped my emotional state during such a difficult, upsetting and stressful time. My dog is still in recovery at home and has a long recovery ahead but I am extremely grateful my dog ended up at vets now instead of anywhere else. The skills and expertise in this place from receptionist to surgeon are incredible.

Brought in my dog for an emergency on the day of the dammed queen’s jubilee no less, so I couldn’t go to our regular vets but was so grateful of how well they took care of us! My dog had cut her leg open and the vets took her in almost immediately, they were really clear that she needed stitches and also explained the risks. I’m happy to say after a month or so she is fully healed and running about again! They did such an excellent job stitching her up and I believe a student did it. Such an excellent job, so grateful for kind vets who also clearly love and care for their animal patients. I kept hearing the receptionist say things like hello beautiful / lovely / darling to all the animals coming in which is also an extra lovely thing.

My cat had bladder issues at the weekend so I was advised by Vets Now to bring him in immediately. He was seen quickly and got the treatment he needed. Just waiting to see if insurance covers it (this part is not Vets Now's problem - they did what they needed to do for my cat).

The staff at Vets Now were all extremely professional, patient and compassionate during my cat’s treatment. She received the highest level of care and staff took great care to explain everything to me and to answer my questions. I can’t thank them enough for all that they did.

Our dog was referred here because our usual vet thought he might have something up his nose but he needed a CT scan to be sure. We dropped him off and had a consultation on the phone from the car park which we were nervous about, but we were put at ease right away, it was so thorough. Treatment and costs were explained clearly too. We got an update later in the day to say they'd found a large blade of grass and managed to remove it. The treatment notes we got afterwards were really comprehensive and when I phoned with a question about insurance the person I spoke to was really helpful. A great service at a stressful time.

I am grateful that I was able to get antibiotics for my dog. Staff were patient and kind. However not being in a car, I needed to wait outside for over an hour in the cold (and a further hour and a bit inside, as staff kindly let me in) and this exacerbated my own health condition and made me pretty unwell. I absolutely respect the need for covid restrictions but some sort of seating and heating facility for clients without cars is necessary, and communication about waiting time - had I known it would be so long I could have found somewhere warm and dry to wait.

😐 My cat cuddles unfortunately had to be put down. The woman said there was nothing they can do despite not giving any scans or anything.
