Good but they should open the balcony in the watersports cafe. It looks closed but when asked, they have one door unlocked. Anyone trying the other doors would just assume it was closed. Nice day, covid on the rise again, let people sit outside. Pull the tables down nearer the windows so people can see them and they would be more inclined to go out. If it was run by a private company, far more use would be made of the outdoor balcony. It's a perfect outdoor area for people to sit. Home made soup gorgeous but bit too salty. Let people salt it themselves to their own taste. Great wee cafe though and friendly helpful staff.

It's crazy and sad just how much litter is left around here (or blown in the direction of the park). Other than that, I really love being here, the animals, the rowers and the sailors all provide some entertainment on the walk. There's a cafe near one of the beach areas and some ruins a bit further round that are worth a look. In hot weather there will be one or two ice cream vans too! There's also a couple of play parks for the kids. If walking close to the water edge, just be aware of the midges (in the hot weather).

I've passed this place time after time on my way to the Highlands but as I was staying 30 mins away by car I thought I'd take a look. The loch is a fair old size with a nice 3.5 mile loop around it. I would say the only thing that spoiled it was the amount of litter, from babies nappies left on benches to empty beer cans and coffee cups. There's plenty of bins around the park it's just people that need educating clearly but saying that I never saw anyone actually there cleaning the park.

This park is huge... It's absolutely huge. There's a giant watersports centre (no dogs or stand up paddle boards allowed though) at the far end of the park, and then miles and miles of beautiful walks around the water and through the trees etc. I'm told there's lots of deer too, although I didn't see any here. The water does have the dangerous blue green algae though, which means that you can't swim in it and can't risk the dogs going in either as it could make you very sick and easily kill a dog, so good to check that part! But the stunning park has more than enough beautiful walks and kids play areas etc so you don't miss it!

Great place to walk, explore and exercise. Countryside in the Urban sprawl Litter situation better than last year but still an issue Load’s of smaller paths and access to other walks. It also has a Roman fort bath house at Bothwellhaugh The park has no public toilets which is basically unacceptable on such a vast area, hence 3 stars

Such a nice and beautiful place to spend time . Theme park for kids is such a treat for them . There are nature trails , football pitches and water sports as well. Waterfall is so lovely and sounds of water so hypontic. Loved the day spent with family . Definetly worthwhile for a hike or spending time with family or friends . 🙂 Overall feels beautiful sitting along the water and get off your stress .😇

OK for a day out, could do with more rides, however, the climbing attraction is a great addition to the park and the facilities around the Loch are great for kids and adults of all ages. Little bit on the pricey side for the rides but the wristband is another welcome addition if was a little less expensive. Would highly recommend a visit to amazonia also.

A great opportunity to walk with the family around the lake (1 hour), have a small picnic and children play on the many swings and playgrounds (>4). And for those who love history - see the remains of the Roman baths.

It's not bad, but could do with a deep clean! Far too much litter everywhere too. Rides could do with a revamp to compete with other theme parks!

Great park. 5km walk all the way round. We used the watersports centre and did the speed boat ride and used the water bumper cars. Great fun for kids (and adults)

Looks like it could have potential to be a great place. I was only passing and stopped for a quick look. Parking is great. Nice play area for kids the play roadway looks cool. Then there's the rubbish it's everywhere why does no one use bins and why arnt bins emptied.

If you've came for a nice park- go back! It's a boring walk with nothing to see around a man made lake. No signs of wildlife except a few swans gathered at a certain part of the water. It is a quite a long walk though if that's what you want. Just steps. Or a flat bit to run.

Lovely place with nice views. Great for dog walkers, cycling, running or a relaxing stroll. There are around 3 different play parks for children and it’s right next to M&D’s.

Went for the annual fireworks display, FREE ENTRY, live dj, hotdog vans, doughnut vans, coffee vans and other food stalls + the café in the main building, what more can you ask for??? 2 sets of toilets on site which is handy 😀. The event was well managed by the stewards aswell, then to top it all off with a spectacular fireworks display 😀

Well maintained park. Great for a variety of things to do, I have spent many hours walking and running here. Great for dog walking too. Plenty of car parks meaning you don't often struggle to find a space. It can be busy on a peak summer evening however the expansion of the paths has made a great difference.

Got to be highest ranking ranger in the central belt in my opinion. Pictures tell a heart breaking story. Staff deserve to be rewarded immensely. Again have a few question about the community not for profit groups 🤔 x

Strathclyde Park is a great little park that is easily accessible by public transport, although personally I like to ride my bike around it as most of the route around the lake has excellently maintained bike paths. It can get very busy quite quickly so I recommend going first thing in the morning if you are looking for somewhere to have a jog, walk or cycle without too many other people around. The park also connects up easily to Chatelherault Country Park by taking the path along the river Avon.

This site sits at the cross roads of two motorways. But it really is quite quiet. Surrounded by trees and big wide open pitches, it beautiful. I would definitely book again.

Walking from the Alona Hotel into Motherwell I pass through this park. Today is overcast with a few drops of rain. I walk past the lake where it appears rowing races are competed. Lots of birdlife. Good exercise for me.

We took the toddler to see Santa here. Booked tickets the night before. Traffic was brutal and we were 30 mins late for our time slot but the lovely lady at the counter gave us the next time slot so he wouldn't miss out. The actors in story time were fabulous, the grotto was excellent and Santa was really patient with our son who was scared of him 🙈 Then a ride on the carousel before heading home. We didn't wait long in any of the queues which was great when you've young children. Really great experience and inexpensive. Thank you 💜

Take plenty of food for the hungry geese, ducks and swans. Great place to walk around extremely busy with lots of areas for exercise. It's a shame people are so ignorant and can't take their rubbish home with them when the bins are all full! But that's the general thing wrong with most public places theses days!
