Wouldn’t even give this place 1 star. Firstly is £16 for a 15 min walk around this tiny aquarium! But I wouldn’t mind paying that if they took care of their animals! The poor seals living in the tiny swamp outside, Shreks swamp is cleaner than this! The second you step outside to the seals you’re hit with a smell of dirty stale water! This is disgusting and no animal should have to live in conditions like this! And also people saying about the cafe was lovely?!?! I wouldn’t let your kids eat there. The food looks like it’s been sitting their for hours and it’s way overpriced. This place really needs to sort it out before it gets shut down!

The experience was great overall. We went with 2 under 3s and a 10 year old. The sea lion show was great, didn't last too long as it was just them getting fed but was still good to watch. The staff were lovely and very helpful. The star of the show was the huge tunnel where you sea the sharks , stingrays ect. Its was amazing to walk through and lasted a good 10 minutes if you take your time. The gift shop was great too, i wouldnt say it was too overprices. The overall experience wasn't very long, we went round a couple times just to make up the time so it would last longer. The 2 younger kids had a ball and the older kid wished that there was more to see. 4 out of 5 stars we would definitely go back 🦈🥰

We had a really nice visit to Deep Sea World. We arrived at 10:30 and it was nice and quiet to do an initial walk around and see everything before the crowds. The exhibits are well layed out and informative. It is a small place but we easily got 2 hours out of it - no children with us. The underwater walkway is amazing. It's fab to have the sharks, fish and rays swimming right over your head. The snapping turtle was pretty cool to see too. The seal feeding talk was really informative. We were informed one seal has a cataract, for any who may think they aren't aware of this. The cafe looked a bit sad and a bit unkempt.

It's pretty disappointing for the cost. The underwater tunnel was probably the best bit, walking under the swimming sharks and stingray. That took about 10mion to do. Aside from that, there are the seals and a handful of fish tanks. We were done i about 30 minutes and were quite disappointed that there wasn't more to see.

Visited with a 7 & 8 year olds who love fish etc. This was great for them. Went round a couple of times to see everything. Went to story time to hear mystical tales (on over Easter hols) not cheap but we'll worth the pennies cause they loved it. Saw seals doing tricks at feeding time. Cafe was very busy but food was fine enough. Will be back.

Went today for a shark encounter, which waa absolutely brilliant, thoroughly enjoyed it. Staff were great, very friendly and approachable. Instructors for dive were very friendly and knowledgeable. I am a little disappointed in the reviews on here, whilst i appreciate that Deep Sea World isn't big and the pricing is a bit high, but the running costs of such a facility must be substantial. I found the visit fun and will return. Thank you to the instructors in particular.

Had a lovely time with my five year old granddaughter and disabled husband looking at the sea life. Lots to see and staff were very patient and willing to answer all my granddaughter's questions. A bit tight for a wheelchair especially when it was quite busy and there was no room for prams etc to overtake us on the ramps between floors. Disabled toilet was quite small and had no emergency cord. The gift shop was very expensive - £7 for a pencil and notepad.

Pretty good for kids. Small but has a decent selection of tanks. The swamp tanks get a lot of condensation and the seal pen is green. Has a souvenir shop and a cafe. Outside area is pleasant with rail bridge above.

Very nice aquarium with lots of interesting aquatic life. Standing eye to eye with piranhas is exciting, but not nearly as exciting as going through the tunnel aquarium. Being surrounded by sharks, rays and fish is absolutely amazing. Definitely worth a visit if you like sea life or want to introduce your Little Ones to the world under the water!

Deep sea world was a nice morning out. We took advantage of the free child entry using the kids ScotRail ticket. However it still was a bit expensive at £17 per adult. The animals were great to see and the kids loved the moving walkway in the underwater tunnel. Seeing sharks and stingrays up close was pretty cool. The gift shop was expensive for what it was selling.

Decent place for one time visit, although not worth the ticket cost. The main attraction is underwater tunnel. Seahorses and seals were fun too! We were able to see the whole aquarium in justcabout 40minutes with our 3 year old.

A very expensive day out for what you see. This is actually a very small deep sea world, you’ll be finished seeing all very quick. There are much bigger ones elsewhere so go to them instead if had more time. Recommend booking online to get a bit of a discount as buying tickets there & then can be costly. The tunnel is one of the best bits as the sharks go above you. The seals are outside near the cafe and those are nice to see. Cafe and gift shop itself is also on the pricey-side, and not quite worth the pennies either.

Amazing first experience of the tunnel. Not sure why the conveyer belt wasn't working. Wasn't too busy. The clues on the tanks for frogs helped where to look for some very tiny cute frogs. Very happy!

Visited Deep Sea World today with my husband and 4 year old. Great sea life and sharks are amazing, my son and myself are shark daft!! However a few down points.. being reasonably local I have visited Deep Sea world since I was my sons age, I’m now 31 and it has never changed :-( Years ago there were small boats outside in the cove the kids could play with but now it’s unused and very sad looking. Would be great if they could use the cove for “something”? Even a bigger enclosure for the seals or something completely new? Inside, possibly a sea inspired soft play or interactive section? On the whole a good hour spent for young child but too pricey for what’s there £££ Happy with the information provided on the animals and what they are doing for conservation. 3*

Good place to take kids. Tad expensive, £16 each entry then there's the cafe and gift shop. Our daughter enjoyed herself and in the end that's what matters.

Deep Sea World is a great place to visit. Lots to see but very overpriced. My Daughter and I were went round the whole place twice over and it only took us a little over an hour. A lot of money for a family, where you can't fill an afternoon.

Had a lovely day at Deep Sea World. The lady at the entrance was welcoming and friendly. Lots of good sea creatures to see kids and myself had a great time looking at them and reading the information on them! Only downside was the Bridge Cafe was dirty the floor was covered in food, the two staff members who served us didn't remember things we had ordered but it was quite busy so felt a bit sorry for them. The seal enclosure looked kind of small? Also enjoyed the reptile exhibition.

I like the position of the facility in the posh area. The entrance seems dangerous enough when you get intimidated by the big rocks. The visiting of the place seems short, but it's brilliant to see real sharks and manta rays. The price seems spicy but i don't mind if it goes towards the fish upkeep. They could invest in cleaning the water at the surface, debris floating around with bloomed green algae everywhere.

Not as big as I'd expected and the building etc could do with a bit of TLC. However, with the drop in income resulting from Covid-19 it's not really surprising that it could do with some investment. The kids still had a fantastic time. They went through the underwater tunnel 4 or 5 times. The food in the cafe was good and not too expensive.

Took my son today and it was amazing to see all kinds of fish that we don't normally seem. We particularly loved going through the longest underwater tunnel in Europe where the fishes were literally swimming on top of us. We also loved the different kinds of frogs, they were pretty cool. The only 2 negative points were the gift shop and the coffee shop. Both very expensive for what they had to offer, I haven't seen a gift shop and a coffee shop so expensive until I went to deep sea world, definitely overpriced. Otherwise we had a good experience and definitely recommend it.

Received a duo shark dive with my partner as a gift and could not have loved it more. Worth the money 100%, the trainers you go in with were lovely and so helpful and informative, made me feel safe and secure and more excited than I was before as a shark fanatic to get in the water. They even had a staff member go round the tank from the outside to take pictures and videos for us the whole time. Incredible experience highly recommend

It's a good place to take kids on weekends or summer holidays. It's not very big and not too many animals in there so 1 and half hour is just about enough to finish touring this place. For me and my little girls the seal talk show was the biggest highlight and the sand tiger sharks in the tunnel was another highlight. .There are a few small aquariums with interesting small and medium sized fishes.

It’s good place to explore the sea life. They also got a very good aquarium tunnel and a moving conveyor belt is also there to enjoy the scenes while you are moving. But comparing with the sea life aquarium, they have very low number of exhibits.

Easy access, parking can be full quickly at peak tho. There are some amounts of small vivariums/aquariums which will take 15mins to see at best. The best of the place is definitely the small walk under the see through tunnel. However that's another 15-20min at best. Then there is the outdoor seal time (3 seals). Overall it is nice to do and see but plan for 1hr at max and don't expect to be blown away.

Not been here for a few years and not as many attractions there as i remember. Thought there were more fish before and a sensory area. Also a little bit expensive but it can't be cheap to maintain this place. Also some area's of the glass going around the tunnel could do with a clean but still worth a visit if you've not been before.

  • 4/5 Claire M. 4 months ago on Google
The underwater tunnel is by far the highlight of the experience at Deep Sea World and worth going along for! It's fantastic to see the sharks, rays and fish swimming all around and above you. Overall the place is smaller than I expected but they have a fair range of different fish and amphibians as well as some seals. The cafe was a big disappointment though and we ended up leaving and going elsewhere for food.

My children really enjoyed the visit. They have done a great job of squeezing a lot of good things to do into a small place. Very clean and the staff were great. Will definitely visit again.

Well, the fact that it is below the Forth Rail bridge gives you an immediate wow factor for location. The facility is great indoors with some lovely tanks and healthy looking animals a real treat. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The entry fee was not the cheapest but I'd say it was worth it. The outside areas need some work to clean up but overall well worth a visit.

A remarkable sight. Its a must see for everyone of all ages. Free parking(using what3words app use "steaming.kitchen.acrobats" to get to it) and hundreds of things to see and read about. A wonderfull day out for us.

This was my first visit to deep sea world and sadly was not impressed with the features. To me I was looking at more interpretation and education about species of the deep sea world. Even not getting an information leaflet when entering the place (after paying a heavy amount for family entry) - customer service was lovely and existing species were very well take care of. Overall they can do a lot of revamping to make it world class. Cafe a bit on the higher side too. This is just all my personal experience - thanks

Nice aquarium. My daughter loved it. It wasn't big but definitely enough for us to enjoy our time and stay there. The shark tunnel was cool. I haven't tried the café yet. Will do on our next visit.

    Overpriced for what it is

  • 4/5 Francesco S. 3 years ago on Google
It's not the most modern of places. Hasn't really changed much in the past 20 years. If you live local with young kids the membership is more than worth it and great for a rainy day activity. + covid19 set-up is really good to limit contact

  • 4/5 Nicky C. 3 years ago on Google
Very good covid restrictions, one way all through it, can go round as many times as you want. Social distance markers everywhere. Cafe ok menu very limited the now though.

  • 5/5 Iona B. 3 years ago on Google
Felt very safe, everyone was masked up and the one way system was very clear and concise

Amazing trip, perfect for the kids. Wouldn't think twice about visiting again. Adults may find it a little bit small but kids loved it. Highly suggest to anyone with kids that are thinking about visiting to just go, you won't be disappointed.

Really enjoyed my time at deep sea world even through the covid precautions they have had to put in place. It is a little pricey for what you are doing but we were there a solid 2 hours and went around the sharks twice. I loved seeing the sharks and the divers were fantastic.

  • 3/5 Vince T. 3 years ago on Google
We went last week with our grandchildren. The underwater tunnel is quite long with a travellator walk way and was the best part by a long way. There wasn't too many other tanks. We went around the whole site twice in about an hour. The kids enjoyed it but I was generally a little disappointed.

  • 4/5 lee d. 3 years ago on Google
Friendly staff, very Covid safe, a little tired looking but great fun with kids for an hour or two.

  • 4/5 Kellyanne G. 3 years ago on Google
Kids loved it, all adult were pretty bored after 20/30 minutes however i would return with the children again. Lots of lovely fish. They have great measurements in place for social distancing and hand sanitizing.
