the staff gave my grandpa CPR when he collapsed and also made me a really nice coffee. i tried to leave a tip and the manager chased me down the street to give it back and insist i give it it someone more worthy. definitely recommend.

Nice place to have a nice coffee, given that it's so close to Strathclyde uni it's obviously full of students, if you can handle exestaintial conversations about all sorts it's not a bad place to be. Absolutely not intimate, if you crave that, go somewhere else.

I didn't realise the place extended round behind the service counter to a large room with some comfortable chairs to lounge in. The coffee always tastes good here and the coffee art has always impressed me. Selection of cakes is pretty good too. My only qualm about the place is it tends to close early (not earlier than the closing time). Would be nice to see it open as an evening venue as well.

Coffee was nice but cleanliness left a lot to be desired.Service at counter was unfriendly and offhand. Two dirty trays of cups and discarded food sat on our table for our entire visit. The toilet on the ground floor ( for children & disabled) was filthy, with tap hanging off wall . Most disappointing and will not be back.

We went to the one on Ingram street and it was lovely. Highly recommend! It’s nice for an independent coffee shop. It had 2 gluten free cake options (strawberry slice or raspberry brownie, both looked nice). My decaf mocha was lovely! But my mums Cappuccino was very basic and she said they could’ve added even some chocolate sprinkles on it for a little something extra - this of course is preference! The strawberry slice was amazing for gluten free - it was just the right taste and textures and it was like summer. So nice to eat! Very refreshing The place itself is nice, and is good for a quick sit down to have a coffee and cake - especially to support independent cafes! It is definitely better than Starbucks or Costa. There are no gluten free options for sandwhiches etc… so bare that in mind. Only a few cake choices! Would go back again, the staff were lovely:)

Stopped for a quick coffee and cake. The quality of the coffee and pastries are a definite step up from the average Costa or standard high street coffee shop, but nothing particularly exceptional otherwise. The decor and overall vibe of the cafe is very warm and has some cool design ideas. Decent choice of hot and cold drinks and an above average choice of sandwiches, cakes and pastries, I've liked the ones I've tried. The service was unexpectedly slow, but perhaps this was just an off day for it.

The coffee is delicious and the cake is delicious, but the staff member was a bit dry, but the place is good to spend some time

A big thanks to all the staff at the coffee shop who looked after us so well whilst the world championships cycling was happening. We were the team parking group and we were so pleased that we had such a great coffee shop to use. Lovely coffee and amazing cakes.

The atmosphere is nice but I feel you would only fit in if unique or pretty enough to be there (like a model or pixie dream girl). The food is bland and nothing too special, also very pricey for something you can make at home much much better. Would not recommend the ham and cheese toasty, tastes like nothing at all, also the Mocha breeze tastes like if you mixed up some nescwik into a paste and added a literal splash of milk, very gross. The staff also looked like they didn't want to be there and a little bit unfriendly like I am an inconvenience ordering any thing, I get it that working sucks but not even a smile or thankyou? Would not be recommended, sorry.

Opening times not updated, Tuesday closed? They could do with cleanliness on tables more often, difficult to find a clean table in the afternoons. Drinks are ok, average price to high.

Great coffee shop with a lovely vibe. The manager always has a smile on his face and makes you feel welcome. The coffee also tastes great which is always a bonus.

Order got mixed up, no problem, so got charged for two coffees, refunded for one, no apology which was quite rude - when waiting for coffee at end of bar noticed they messed up another customers order, sit in instead of takeaway and a different member of staff rolled their eyes to their colleague… not to mention my milk was burnt… been a regular since a student many years ago - won’t be back in a hurry! So many better speciality places in the city these days

Prefer this one to the one on Byers Road because it has more space but the one on Byres Road is better for people watching, popular place for students to go when studying, can get quite busy and loud, the coffee is really nice and the staff are friendly.

The cake was good. Unfortunately, the coffee was tasteless and the cup dirty on the outside. I spent over an hour there and the tables with dirty dishes when I arrived weren’t cleared yet when I left. The order took quite long, even though it wasn’t busy and there was enough staff. It seemed they were overwhelmed.

Lovely cafe and friendly staff. Only fussy comment would be to get a better door stopper for the one to the loos! It slams like the rock.

Plenty of room to sit and drink your coffee.

Really poor cleanliness. Multiple flies at the counter and at the seats. I’ve see flies land on toasties and other food items. I watched my food like a hawk in case the same happened. Most tables had trays full of rubbish and used cups. Again flies around making me just want to get up and leave.

It was my favorite cafe in Glasgow for study. But I was shocked that today, when I was busy with my own essay, and felt super tired so I lay down on the table and nap for like 5-10min, then I was called up by the cafe owner and he said " You cannot sleep here it is not a hotel.” in a quite rude way. Of course ppl can't sleep in a cafe like 1 or 2hours, which I totally understand. But when you're studying, you are like so tired and mentally exhausted. I feel like it's so inhuman to not even be allowed to have a little break time. In that is where I feel doubly tired and embarrassed. What's more, if the owner could have expressed himself a little more politely, it might have been more acceptable for me. Anyway, maybe that's the rule of this cafe. I respect it but not for me. Won't be going back. The iced americano was still good though

Good service. Light and dark areas to zone-out for study or meets. Needs better cooling in summer heat—there are ACs but they are not consistent in turning them on. Food options are rather limited compared to nearby similar places, but drink options are better (ginger beer etc) The internal colouring could be brighter, could do we with a furniture re- arrangement

Gives the impression of a proper coffee shop with v60 and Chemex on display, but it's just for show. Ask for a filter and you'll be offered a long black. It's better than most high street places but save your cash and get a proper coffee across the road in Spitfire or Picnic.

Lovely coffee shop with some nice specialty guest roasts. Good food options but the toilets do seem to need some repairs

Pretty good coffee and snacks, but the front of the shop has seats and tables that are quite sticky. Move to the back of the seating area where there’s a big room that’s much cleaner and open. Very comfortable back there. But there’s only one toilet that wasn’t clean when I went. Be warned 😅

Not a huge fan of their coffee, even the price is not a huge incentive for ordering one. The place itself it quite big, there's plenty of room to work, that is my main reason for coming. Closes late to, which is quite helpful if you feel like working somewhere else than home.

Very library-like atmosphere, suitable for working or a casual visit. Food was reasonably priced and delicious and drinks easily rival that of Costa.
