Great little cafe when you are getting your MOT done by Craig in Deutschtek next door. The service at this place is terrible. After being served you had to go back up to the counter to remind them that you have been served 20 mins ago. Then they forget to put a tea bag in your pot.... Only serving you hot water. Love tipping people but definately not here. I have worked in a few places. And r they certainly need training again. Or do Hospitality or something. They seriously need HELP!!

Lovely coffee. Really friendly and helpful staff. Gorgeous place to relax or catch up with friends. And much better value than big impersonal chains.

Went for breakfast on a Sunday morning. There were 2 other tables there. My friend and I went to the counter to order after deciding. The bored waitress take our order: pancakes, scrambled eggs, and 2 drinks for almost £20. We thought it was a bit expensive, but maybe would be a good value for thw noney. Despite the fact that the other tables were already served, our drinks took 10 minutes to arrive. Our food took 20, ans was served ny a gentleman which face and tone od voice were clearly stating 'I don't want to be here'. The scrambled eggs my griend got were overcooked microwaved eggs, lacking any kind of seasoning. Not tasty at all. The pancaked were ok, seeved on a bowl, with the sauce at the bottom. Not the beat way to serve pancakes, as you could see they must have been done first and the bottom one was soggy and tbe other 2 were dry. Also, they came with a bit of blue roll stick to them. Could have complained, but I wasn't going to wait another 20 minutes for disappointing food from the less passionate staff members I have ever seen. Not good value for money, and certainly won't be back. Bacon was really crispy and nice (only good thing)

nice coffee shop on woodlands road - can get quite busy - they do food at reasonable prices - i go in if i am in the area and need a quiet sit down.

It's alright... A couple things that really get to me though - the tables are tiny, barely fit my legs in when sitting and working on a laptop. Also, the archaic system of charging an extra £0.40 for using card for any purchases under £5. You're a coffee shop, most things will be under £5. How is this still a thing?

5* in general - good coffee, good food, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices, very good space to work or study. However, twice in the last few weeks I have, as a vegetarian, ordered the veggie soup option and been given the non-veggie option, and only realised after eating a bit. After telling them, I wasn't really given a proper apology either time. Ruined an otherwise good experience here.

Sadly I can't comment on the food or beverages because we were told we couldn't be served as they didn't have any clean crockery! The cafe wasn't overly busy,we cleared our own table and sat down while my daughter tried to order. She was told there was no clean crockery so she could come back up and order in 10 minutes! 10 minutes later when she made a second attempt she was told by a completely disinterested male member of staff that there was no way he could serve us then and proceeded to moan about the fact he had been up since 6am and had to work until 7pm! He and another male member of staff stood behind the counter making no attempt to clear any tables or wash any crockery so I can't imagine anyone would have been served anytime soon! Absolutely awful customer service...not even worth one star!!!

Ordered pancakes on Sunday morning ,the place was not busy. My partner got her bacon roll and our teas came along. The bacon roll was finished and my pot of tea getting cold. Lots of other take out customers got served. Eventually told there had been some sort of mix up and my pancake would come sometime. Demanded my Monday back and left. Dismally service.

Great big place with tables and couches to grab a coffee and do some laptop work on the Wi-Fi. Friendly staff and has lots of lunch options. Closes a bit early but that’s normal for this neighbourhood.

This has been my favourite coffee place for over 8 years, it has changed many names.... But perhaps can do with new sofas... But a relaxing chilled place where you can enjoy a beverage.

Good gluten free toastie with vegan cheese, not keen on the soup which tirned out to have come from a bought-in plastic tub when I asked if it had msg, it's easy to make soup so a bit disappointed in that

I’ll be honest. I go here because it’s got a nice chill out feel. But it is too expensive and they ALWAYS overfill my coffee so by the time they bring it to my table it’s spilled all over the saucer and it’s just a mess drinking it. I’m switching to icafe.

The place is spacious and has potential to be great. However, all the tables were sticky and there were few plugs around-making it uncomfortable to work in.

  • 4/5 Roy C. 4 years ago on Google
Liked it but expensive for what i had. Mostly empty unlike other coffee shops I go to. Food was good but not a lot of it compared to price. Staff were friendly.

I love this place. The vibe is relaxed. Staff are always nice, and it’s a perfect place to study or meet folks. Paninis and soups are really good, and coffee is solid too. And they have oat milk, my fave! It’s nice and big with lots of seating options- even when it’s busy there’s plenty of space for wheelchairs or prams.

This place has a really lovely atmosphere! I came here to eat and work with some friends on another friend's recommendation, and we would all recommend this place ourselves! The soup is also delicious.

If there was room for no stars I'd put that. Disgusting staff member told me to use the sainsbury vending machine... I was baffled as to why... Says I don't say please or thank you when I'm in which is untrue.... Was so surprised I even apologised thinking maybe I'd had something on my mind and just forgot. Anyway obviously a sexist cafe as not for 1 min would he have spoken so rudely to a male customer. Microwaved food so won't miss it.... Or Matt the coffee graduate
