Always
disappointing.
I
understand
offshore
gets
mostly
good
reviews,
and
I
have
tried
going
multiple
times
and
I
am
always
left
disappointed
but
yearning
to
understand
why
it’s
reviews
are
4+.
Here
is
my
take
why:
It’s
one
of
very
few
independent
coffee
shops
in
Glasgow
that
has
comfortable,
relaxing
seating.
That
alone
means
that
people
will
automatically
feel
a
sense
of
homeliness
and
relaxation.
For
me,
that’s
where
it
ends.
The
coffee
is
okay.
To
put
it
into
perspective,
Artisan
Roast
(now
closed)
was
3
doors
down
and
Perch
&
Rest
(open)
is
a
2
minute
walk
from
Offshore
and
both
serve(d)
better
coffee.
The
staff
aren’t
entire
friendly
and
in
my
last
visit
I
was
informed
I
would
have
have
to
give
up
my
seat
after
1hr.
It’s
ALWAYS
cold
inside,
so
bring
your
jacket
if
you
do
choose
to
go.
I’d
hazard
a
guess
that
the
reason
this
place
is
still
going
is
because
it’s
near
the
University
of
Glasgow
and
students
will
spend
some
time
here
between
classes
or
to
do
some
studying.
Finally,
with
respect
to
the
team,
the
inside
feels
grubby,
grimy
and
in
need
of
some
restoration.
I
don’t
think
it’s
bad
enough
to
warrant
a
1
star
but
with
the
coffee
scene
in
Glasgow
booming
and
the
standard
increasing,
even
a
3
star
seems
too
much.
