Lovely little cafe, I’ve been walking past it for years without noticing. Perfect spot to get away from the bustle of Sauchiehall Street and enjoy a scone and tea. There’s a little poetry shop in the back as well if your so inclined

By far, this is the best place I have ever been to. The Project Cafe is doing an amazing work. Not only they care what food they serve but they are also dedicated to contributing to the community by being a not for profit social enterprise. The team consists of extremely caring and compassionate people, making for a relaxed atmosphere in the place. This place is quite unique and a must visit if you are in Glasgow. The location is very convenient, right in the heart of the city. And the food is heavenly. Especially since it is locally sourced, seasonal, organic, and fair trade, also supporting other local small businesses and co-ops. You feel amazing after eating the food as you rejuvenate from its freshness and positive vibes. And on top of that, you know you are contributing to a good cause too. I highly recommend this place. The world definitely needs more places like this. ♥️

Quirky, but in a good way. This was a live music evening (for a fiver!). Singer songwriter, then pianist then harp. Quite an eclectic mix, but fun & interesting.

I have enjoyed a coffee and cake sitting outside at small balcony with little Parisians coffee table and chair, with visits to the community shops, former thistle hotel on Cambridge St, and sightseeing and researched and development dynamics.....excellent and lovely products from chef and catering within cafe, too....

The welcoming chalk board at the base of their ramp says it all....see photo. Fortunately for me, there was an empty table so I ordered a date slice and coffee. On the walls currently, there is a colourful display of inspirational women. The twist being, the artists were a community group of young people. Photos also included for you to appreciate. With the buzz of conversation and the music in the background, happy to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. As I was about to leave, The Rising by Bruce Springsteen ensured I sat until it had finished....thank you Project cafe. You can always tell when staff are happy at their work, when gentle laughter is heard amid the serving and clearing up. Detour off Sauchiehall Street, it will only take a few more minutes.... you'll find a little oasis and some moments of calm.....with unique food.

Really glad I found this place. Friendly staff, yummy, seasonal food and great selection of teas, chai and coffee. Cakes are amazing, moist and full of flavour. My dog Wolfie likes it in here too (well behaved dogs are welcome). There's also outdoor seating on dry days which looks onto the buildings at the back of Sauchiehall Street and up to the GFT on Rose Street, great for people watching, especially those who go in and out of Mandors next door. This cafe has a relaxed vibe and also hosts many different talks, activities and open mic nights. Check this wee hidden gem out asap, you won't be disappointed.

Great food & stylish setting 'community' cafe in the heart of Glasgow's university district (next to the Glasgow School of Art). Freshly cooked food from quality ingredients, all served with style. Quirky furniture, and books / musical instruments inside - & nice terrace area in the front of the cafe. I had breakfast - really nice seasoned scrambled eggs, sourdough toast, watercress garnish, & great black Americano coffee - all for £7.....excellent!

Good selection of cakes, teas & coffee. Usually always a vegan option too. Staff are mostly friendly but sometimes can be a bit too relaxed about serving so service varies. Also prices are a bit weird- have been charged very different prices for the same meal in two consecutive days. Portion sizes also seem to vary dependant on staff members.

What a lovely lunch space in a great central location. Bright, airy and the home-cooked food is delicious and good value. I had the green pancakes & my friend enjoyed the tortilla, both accompanied with yummy salad. Will be visiting again and recommending to friends & family.

Wonderful cafe beside Glasgow Film Theatre committed to using locally sourced Scottish ingredients. The celeriac soup was divine. Fell in love with the Rose tea. The lovely waitress made me up a teabag to take back home to Ireland. I will be back.

Friendly staff, good range of healthy food including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free. Slightly alternative vibe. Outside seating not too near traffic which is a joy on sunny days. Popular and can be rather busy at lunchtime.

Hipster cafe with typical food and city centre prices. Decor bit lacklustre, small poetry based bookshop too. Popular for young families.

Great quiet little cafe with great vegetarian and vegan options. I had a very tasty spicy carrot soup with fresh bread and salad. Great lunch spot with a nice patio for sitting when the weather is nice.

Came here first time due to high reviews. Got a piece of walnut cake for £3.50 presumably made with healthy ingredients. However, relatively stiff and stale with slightly hardened texture. Coffee was good. Atmosphere was okay. 3/5 due to cake not being worth the price. Would I visit again? Maybe just for the coffee but not planning to.

If you are more on the falafel and poems side of things then this is the place for you. It has a real independant and community focussed feel to the place. They have a range of vegetarian and vegan food, from soups to cakes, and serve your usual tea and coffee. There is a real friendly atmosphere to the place, and they host regular open mic nights, details of which can be found on their website. If you fancy spending a bit of time and money in a place which isn’t a carbon copy big-chain cafe, then I would recommend you give this place a try. Do note that if you are a wheelchair user, or just someone with mobility issues, there is a ramp to enter the cafe, but it has a fair gradient to it so you may need some assistance if you struggle with hills.
