I love my first meal of the day but this one was disappointed. I’ve ordered eggs Benedict and square sausage and they come like it was cooked a week ago ( not cold but dry). The place was packed but in my opinion it is not worth it.

Since moving to this side of the city I've tried Benson's a few times at different locations. I love visiting the Forge location as it reminds me of old school proper wee cafes and eateries. It's very welcoming, affordable and has consistent quality which is important particularly across locations. I highly rate the Mac and Cheese which comes with chips and a side salad. It's simplicity executed properly. A brilliant hearty lunch with hospitable staff and a great pit stop if out shopping.

as someone who's worked in restaurants for four years of my life the service I just received was shocking . Underneath my table was so dirty , it took very long to get even my drink which I find hilarious as the waitress I received asked me as soon as I sat down if I wanted to order . It seems as if they wanted me out already , half of the restaurant was closed so it makes no sense how it took so long to get them . My food was cold too , overall disliked my experience here . Do not recommend .

Terrible customer service, went in got the dirtiest look ever and it was a trainees first day and her attitude was vile! The boss had an attitude too, their tables where dirty and the floor was greasy vile!

Spot on. Lots of staff no queue and it's all open sided so it feels relaxing. Went in with the lads and we had a good gobble. Nothing left on the plates. Not a rip off either.

I’m new to the area and this is the first place I went. Very welcoming staff, always friendly and always very fast. Fantastic food, I often have to stop myself ordering more because it’s that good. Great atmosphere if a bit busy but that just goes to show how popular they are. All in all, definitely eat here. And don’t miss the tip jar on the way out

This wee cafe is always busy but you never wait long getting served, seated and getting your food! Food is tasty, pricing is great and staff are so friendly. I highly recommend the mac and cheese box ( chicken tenders or mozzarella sticks, chips and bacon bits with a drink! ) Delicious!

very bad waiters/waitresses, i waited 15/20mins and not a single soul came and asked for our order. absolutely shocking and disappointing from this place..

Had eggs Benedict with black pudding and our waitress was very friendly and the food was great, refreshing to hear a kitchen with good communication, the hard work shows I'll definitely be back again

Great breakfast. Love the french toast.

Going rapidly down hill after last time thought I would give it one more try we got steak pie which was cold think I will be giving it a miss from now on wont be back

On arrival I wasn't so sure about ordering as the place was vary busy. But we were seen to and offered a seat quickly. Table had to be wiped, previous diners had just left, not because it had been left dirty. Staff were handling the rush very well. My partner and I both had chicken club toasties and soft drinks. They came to us in around 10 minutes and I have to say they were better than I expected. Brimming with good quality filling, fresh salad. My partners chips were fresh and crispy too. My phone had died and I was allowed to charge it behind the counter while I ate, nice customer service. I applaud the staff for keeping things running so well during such a busy day. We will come back, thank you.

Was very disappointed this morning got full monty and sausage both link and square were burnt, tottie scone was charcoaled on one side, mushrooms were old as you could tell by the texture and egg still had the membrane on it, used to love a fry up here but that’s twice running we have been in and food was very poor, was same chef both times so maybe it’s needing a change of cook which I would gladly take over, staff friendly enough but food a big let down once again 😞😞😞😞

Had the French toast stack ,two slices is french toast with a fried egg streaky bacon and sausage and syrup on the side , personally would have liked my french toast greasy but can't complain, service was very friendly and enjoyed the music

This is how a cafe should be,pleasant staff,friendly, excellent service and food that is glorious. There is something for everyone from the extensive menu.

Great little place to grab something to eat. Traditional Scotish pie and fry are great. Will come back to check the Apple pie soon. Seating is plenty though the noise from the mall is a bit loud. Service is nice and the place is clean. 1 fork was a bit dirty but we managed, and surely if we ask we could had have a replacement.

my daughter took me for my breakfast. that was the first time I had been in there spotless staff were lovely food was lovely. Will definitely eat in there again 👍💯.

A good greasy spoon cafe at good affordable prices. We really enjoyed the salt & chilli chips & the breakfast burrito. The cakes are also really good! The coffee isn’t the greatest but overall a great affordable meal. Definitely will be back when I’m in the Forge.

Liked the social distancing measures in place but as it was quite busy the service was a little slow. The coffee was enjoyable and nice and hot and very reasonable in price.

Do not waste your money ordering anything from this place, the food is discussing , not one thing I ordered was edible, the price is rediculas for the low quality.

£3.50 for a roll n chips! dose anyone think that is good? lucky for them they will always get passing trade due to there location and lack of competition! but not from me!

Ordered full Monty breakfast. Saw it played up but lay under the heated lamps for 11 mins and I had to ask and was told they were just to add toast.

Decent for a delivery breakfast but its expensive for what you get. Other places give you double for the same price (referencing their "full monty" breakfast) and are just as good. Also went stone cold within about a minute of opening it . Overall I wouldn't order again
