Loved this place. A traditional Glasgow tea room serving large pots of tea and excellent cake. In this case, lemon drizzle. Friendly service in a beautiful setting.

The place itself is really lovely, very nice interior and decor. But the truth is, I came here to have a really good cup of tea. I was disappointed, because many teas were unavailable and the tea that was brought to me was very bland, not steeped enough (maybe it was the temperature of water that was wrong). I told the waiter about it and he offered me another tea - so that is very nice, but I needed to go. I also had scones, they were ok, I could taste the baking powder :( I am a little frustrated, because my expectations were not met.

Highly recommend this high tea experience. We came as a group of 7 and they went above and beyond to accommodate the variety of food allergies: egg, dairy and gluten. Scones were delicious!! Sweets and savouries delightful. Staff were superb. Thank you🇨🇦

So much fun! And such a pretty space. Lots of tea varieties and the high tea service was delicious. Really enjoyed all my little bits and was VERY full by the end of it - we had to take some home. My only critique is that the tables were WAY too small for 4 people + teapots + tiered servers

We came for the afternoon tea, and it was delightful. I have never been to a traditional afternoon tea before and this was fun and what I thought it would be like. It was A LOT of food. We had sandwiches, scones, and desserts as well as tea and/or coffee. We had good service and the location was handy. I definitely recommend. We did reserve ahead of time, but the restaurant appeared to be able to accommodate without a reservation.

Just want to thank the wonderful staff today, that tended to us, for my daughters baby shower. Everyone had a lovely time, and you were all so attentive... without being overbearing! Food was amazing, and we felt as though we could really relax and enjoy ourselves. Hope you enjoyed the chocolates 😉 Definitely recommend you to all my friends, and will be back! Thanks again for all your help.

Stopped by here for a quick brunch and got Eggs Royale and Eggs Benedict. They were alright but a bit basic and a bit bland so -1 star. Wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but you won't be sorry if you do.

Loved loved loved this place! Food was amaaazing, drinks were lovely and there was such a variety to choose from, the decor is also beautiful, very sweet photo op at the front door (odd comment but the toilets are also beautifully decorated) so pleased with our experience here, the staff were lovely and would definitely return!

We had our first tea experience here in Glasgow after visiting for a short trip. They didn't unfortunately have our choice of tea but we went with vanilla tea instead which was also very nice and tasty, we enjoyed it. We also had breakfast (eggs benedict and bacon on english muffin toasted) which was delicious and so filling! We then had a portion of scones, which was 5 small scones warmed up served with clotted cream and jam - and this was the best scones we've ever had (we've not had many but after this visit I'd want to have them everyday). Thank you!! Need to mention the toilets were very lady-like and cute, very nice touch! (PS. Please fix the ability to lock the stall in the women's bathroom, as only one of them currently locks)

Went for afternoon tea Saturday 18th January. Pros: Lovely venue Tea selection is vast and very nice Option to try as many teas as you like with no extra charge Desserts were lovely and scones were a treat Cons: Not much there for a non-tea drinker Felt a bit rushed Overall it was very nice, without feeling hugely special. Plenty of food for the price (went away with a box of treats for later on). Did feel a little bit rushed once it started to look like we were finished though. Swaying between a 4 and a 5 star review!

High tea with a nice range of sandwiches and cakes. Aimed at people who like to make a ritual out of a cup of tea but welcomes all, including kids.

I couldn't fault my experience at Cup. The food was delicious, the range of teas fantastic (the Byers Bold Brew may be the best cup of tea I've ever had) and the staff were exceptionally helpful; friendly and welcoming, but also accommodating - my friend had a baby and a pram, and they took pains to seat us comfortably and store the pram out of the way, as well as providing a high chair. Thank you to all who served us on Friday 16th Aug - you made our visit really enjoyable!

Great cream tea and fresh tea. Only set back was the service which was not that good. Got served moldy jam with my scones but got a new one. I would recommend this place. since I believe we just had a bad day.

I was given brunch for 2 as a gift and it was lovely. As we arrived we stood back to let 2 ladies outside and they stopped to say first time for them too, they had thoroughly enjoyed and hoped our experience would be just as enjoyable and it was. Greeted at the door and shown to our table. A previous call received to check whether any special diet requirements was again double checked with us. Food was lovely, tasty and fresh. Scones were lovely, pastries tasty. Beautiful surroundings, relaxed atmosphere and both members of staff friendly ,polite and attentive. Great experience, highly recommend.Go on try it! M Kelly

Great afternoon tea for 9 of us. Booking online was easy. The wait staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and abundant. GREAT value. Several of our party had a box to go as they couldn’t finish it all in one sitting. The tearoom itself is beautifully decorated. Highly recommend!!

(Translated by Google) A sweet little coffee in the morning at noon and in the evening a ginbar. The change was perfect and the atmosphere is a dream. The breakfast (Belgian waffles with fat Nutella and strawberries) was delicious. In the evening the gin selection was breathtaking and gave me many hours there. When I am back in Glasgow I will come over here.

Best Afternoon tea we have had!!! Fantastic quality food & service was amazing nothing was a bother for the lovely girl who served us on Fri 4th Oct

The tea and food is a little pricey but you good quality tea and freshly made food which is a bonus. I had tea and scones when I went and the scones are still warm when they're served which was nice. The interior is beautiful, it has a classy 1930's esq feel. You can book tables online but just note that that's if you plan to have food (as opposed to just having tea and scones like I did). I definitely plan to visit again.

Had an Itison voucher for afternoon tea with my sister today. It was just great. Loads to eat and wee both took a wee box of goodies home with us. Only disappointment were the toilets being a long trek down a lot of steps. Not very good for a disabled person, me! Lovely helpful friendly staff.

Absolutely loved it! Cute, cosy place with great menu, wide selection of teas, ultimate Christmas vibes. Nice music, relaxing, chilled atmosphere. The avo toast was huge and tasty, not overpriced as most of the time. Will be definitely back to try their cakes or afternoon tea. Service could be friendlier though.

Amazing tea, great food! Been there 3 times now and it's an amazing place to have a slow afternoon, enjoy a variety of teas and chat with friends. I have yet to order food that doesn't taste great! And the scones are about the best I've found in Glasgow so far. It's a bit pricey, but absolutely worth it.

Beautiful restaurant, went in there for breakfast. The worst service ever received! Disrespectful waitress, letting me know loudly that it will be more money to add the salmon; it was £2! Wonder why she thought that might be a problem for us to afford. Gave my kids toasties with the hard crust ! Unbelievable.. Forgot 1 hot chocolate for my child. I wanted to ask for the manager but we were rushing to the airport. I can’t help but think the waitress was racist and thought we had no business being there. Could complain about more things but I’ll stop here.Do better. It was appalling.

Visited Cup Tea Lounge today for the first time. What a lovely surprise. The building retains many of its original features and the waffles we had were amazing! They had a great choice of teas and the service was excellent. Definitely our go to place when we are next in Glasgow.

It was very nice atmosphere/decor! Afternoon tea was a bit pricey for what it was, could do with refining the menu a bit - too many savoury things that didn't seem very high quality - 3 big rolls with little filling, plus a couple other tiny things. Service was good though.
