The bouncers is really had very bad behaviour for outsiders. For no reasons they say please find another bar we will not allow you to come in. The bad thing was they havent said same thing to anyone else may just because we are local residents.On top of that addition of rudeness,Racism and arrogance is simply what you don't want. I hope they read this review and reshape their behavior.

My friend was randomly accused of "pushing" a staff member, the bouncer just denied re-entry after my friend & I had come out for a smoke. As we tried to re-enter the bouncer just denied re-entry to my friend. He offered no explanation whatsoever & was discourteous. Looking at all the reviews this does look like the norm. I wish this establishment hires professional security which might end up repairing the club's already damaged reputation.

Made us queue for over 30mins just to get to the front of the line for the female bouncer to turn us all away (group of lads) with no reason, “I’m not letting you in” while we were 100% sober still. Then for her to refuse another few group of lads behind us (who we didn’t know) to not be let in, but then let’s groups of lasses in? 5 mins later the female bouncer changes shift and swaps with a male bouncer but he let everybody in? Not even worth your time queuing

We were invited to go to this place after bring at the Scottish Hair and Beauty Awards. The bouncer, or whatever she was supposed to be, wouldn't let anyone in without ID. I'm 67!!!!!!

Me and my boyfriend where really excited to experience the bamboo nightclub. Then only to experience a knock back from the tragic bouncer that was covering that night. He refused to give me his name although he was bold with a reseeding hairline so it’s kinda hard to not notice but he seemed really homophobic and didn’t want gay people To be on the dance floor, very disappointed with bamboo and they’re staff, I was expecting to be treated with a level of respect but clearly the staff have other priorities 🤡

Female bouncer just looked at us and instantly told us to go away. Was only me and my mate waiting in the line patiently to get in and we were greeted with her being extremely aggressive and rude towards us. Would recommend finding somewhere else as it’s not worth the line and dealing with her to get into the club.

Went on a Wednesday night got let in but then as I went out for a smoke and tried to get in was not allowed because I was wearing Nike cargos instead of normal “clothes” I still had to pay entry fee but was still kicked out the second I want upstairs outside . Make it make sense

Some of the staff very rude, overpriced, not great atmosphere Male Bouncer at the front door was very courteous and professional. bar staff also quick and proficient at their jobs. However the actions of some of the staff at the end of my visit to bamboo thoroughly put me off visiting again: Trying to leave, none of the girls at the jacket collection window paying attention as they were all on their phones, female bouncer got angry cause I tried to get the jacket ticket collectors attention by shouting excuse me, so that I could be heard over the music, and threatened to have me thrown out, cause I was trying to leave. Also the bar is over priced compared other clubs

Ok so u might think they have got a long Que outside thier club but believe me when I say that this is the most racist club I have ever been through. The female so called bouncer outside the club has total disregard for outsiders and they que outside will compel you to get in line but it's not at all worth it. Female bouncer told us to ‘try somewhere else’ without even letting us finish saying hello. After asking why, she said she initially thought we were drunk but that she ‘made a mistake’ and could see we were sober but wouldn’t let us in now. Clearly made a judgement right away and wrote us off and was very rude.

Went last night , female bouncer instantly told us to no because it was 5 guys we had had 1 Drink each. just a joke really then told other bouncers not to let us in. Find new door staff or stop judging a group of young guys wanting to have some fun .

Music was so loud. Ears still ringing day after. Regularly go clubbing twice a week in many different clubs and this is the only one where the music made me and my pal's ears physically hurt.

Was in last night for Hogmanay, went out for a smoke and when I went to walk back in the bouncer grabbed my wrist as I was walking down stairs, and another grabbed me by the neck before I even had the chance to turn around to see the guy that grabbed my wrist

The new bouncer (not sure his name) is an arabise. A girl threw her drink at the crowd and they throw me out despite having nothing to do with the drink throwing.

Great club with the nicest people, however I had these girls stalking me and kicking me when ever they could because someone stole there drink. Security wasn’t great at picking it up and started to physically attack us after we left.

Great on a Sunday, but Fridays and Saturdays are usually good too. It has 3 rooms (pop, hip hop, alternative) and sometimes collaborates with Kokomo to make a huge club night.

I started speaking Arabic which is my native language language and the white bouncer told me to stop it then headbut me and told me to leave, in front of my boyfriend. Very racist place, would avoid at all costs.

Was at bamboo last night and it was on St Patrick’s day so it was really busy with a massive queue. We got in and the staff were nice, then we got in at the bar and it was clearly understaffed I waited 40 minutes to get 2 drinks and the club was way over crowded hardly being able to move

Visiting Glasgow, was kicked out for no reason whatsoever while in the middle of a piss and was called Irish slurs by the bouncers as they shoved me out.

Got in the first time i went, standard club night. Refused entry twice after for no apparent reason, rude bouncers, lost interest ever since, better things to do for sure.

My first and last time here I was attacked after an hour of entering and the bouncers done nothing to help. They act it on the door but when it kicks off they're nowhere to be seen

Decided to go here to celebrate the world cup final for our french friend... only for him to be turned away not because he had drank (which he hadn't), not because he was loud, but because he was by himself. SHAMEFUL! ABSOLUTELY AVOID! Can't believe they ruined such a perfectly good night for such a stupid reason. Useless bouncer!!

This and Kokomo are probably the best night clubs in glasgow

Its really a nice place....but only if u get an entry as the bouncers in here are serious trouble n wont grant u access until properly satisfied regarding your alchohol level and ur clothings !!

Very judgemental toxic bouncers. Sometimes they let me in and the next time they act like they never seen me before and deny the entry. They let in people they personally know. Not recommended for solo party goers. The club does not care about customer service. Should be investigated thoroughly for discrimination against customers.

Bouncer turned us away for no reason. We were not drunk or had even started drinking. Nor were acting disordely in anyway. When we asked him why, he couldnt give us a reason. Very dissapointed he ruined our night..

Have a great time in Bamboo always. The manager was particularly amazing when handling lost property issues with me and my friend. Many thanks for your help and would recommend this nightclub

Great club, had many good nights in here. I left my jacket in here a couple day’s ago and got it back simply and easily. Great staff, great managers and great atmosphere. Highly recommend if your looking for a good night out in Glasgow

Absolutley disgusted the way myself and 10 other people in my group were treated on saturday 4th Aug at Bamboo by one of your security guards! Utter shambles! I have reported him to the police asking them to come and check the clubs CCTV of the time we approched Bamboo, I have also asked them to look into the bouncers SIA door Licence as I feel he shouldnt be allowed one and to be treated they way we were was wrong on so many levels! Whilst we were standing awaiting entry befor being refused, three young girls came up and spoke with this particular bouncer, to which they never stepped foot into Bamboo but each of them were given a dtamp on their hand, no ID was requested and they walked away! I questioned this at the time and he said I know them personally, so you have to be known to the door men or its if your face fits!? Im absolutley disgusted! We then moved on to merchant city and got a booth in another club, which was fantastic and second to none. I will be awaiting a reply from your manager at Bamboo and iam awaiting the outcome from the police.

Had a great night! Really good music and all my friends enjoyed it also! However it can get really warm! But recommend it to people who want a good night!

Average night club, but go on a none student night and chances are you are going to get overcharged at the door and at the bar. They have also falsely advertised closing times on several occasions.

They advertise drinks, promos, times etc and completely ignore them

I am actively boycotting until things change. Ridiculous to be treated this way in 2017 and in such a forward thinking city. Go flat 0/1 instead

If you go in before 11 PM, you get in there for free. Great music. DJ plays everything you want to eventually. Not sure on drinks. It is a young atmosphere with R&B and raving music.

I couldn’t be more annoyed, I absolutely loved bamboo, and that’s the last time I ever go! I tried to go with my boyfriend and they asked how much I had to drink and he didn’t believe me as I do not drink! At all! And he said to go else where, then called my boyfriend a skinny bast***! So bloody rude!!!

This place is a disgrace. They are completly ageist and hide it behind the guise of being a student club. Went for entry last night with a friend who is 20 checked his ID and let him in with no questions they then check my ID and im 27 they ask are you a student which obviously im not and said cant come in if you are not a student. They saw I was over probably 25+ and instead of strait up saying your to old they use being a student as an excuse to knock you back and blame it on the management telling them not to let non-students in and claim to have always been a student club but again obviously if you look anywhere online you will not find anything about this becuase its Illegal and discriminatory. Trading Standards report will be made souly because of how rude the door staff were and unapologeticly discriminatory.

Went as a group after Sports Fair & Social with Strathclyde Sailing, they knew we were coming so got in no problem. Went to the bathroom (simply needed to pee) and had two bouncers (or whatever you want to call the SGL guys in blue) follow me in. First one left again, other one confronted me just as I had washed my hands and was about to rejoin my group about either consenting to a search or leaving immediately...naturally I opted for the latter so lasted about 5 minutes in the place. Clearly door staff were oblivious to the situation as they even offered me a stamp for my wrist while being 'thrown out' by this £10.50/hr jobsworth - must have been a quiet night!!

It was my first time clubbing and I was having a decent time with my mates I accidentally went into the woman’s toilet was not given a chance to explain my self I didn’t know it was the women’s toilet it I ask a friend and he pointed to the hallway their was no sign that was visible I just thought it was unisex bathroom it was my first time there it ruined my night and put off clubbing in general the staff just showed me out I left with no fuss don’t bother coming
