The museum is superb. The unique and antique display units are very attractive. The entry is free, that is the most important thing. You can spend hours or maybe a day being here. It has beautiful scenery outside also. There is tall ship at the outside of building, that is my most favorite one. You can buy drinks and snacks inside the museum with very reasonable price. I am sure that I will never get bored visiting the Riverside Museum.

Great place. Full of old forms of transport. Brilliant old street food exhibit. Well worth a visit when in the area. Great for all the family. Clean, tidy with helpful staff. Free entry. £5.20 for two hours parking just outside.

Long time since I've visited the Riverside museum in Glasgow. It was nice to be back and wander around without young kids in toe. There is plenty to see with the museum covering a wide range of topics ranging from clothing, various transport methods, engineering history, toys, and personal stories all of which is related to Glasgow. Although the museum had a good attendance with families it did not seem overly crowded due to the design of the building. It is set out in various sections and on two levels. On entering you are immediately faced with trams and steam trains, some of the most icons of Glasgows history. To the left there is a mock up of a street with horse drawing trams, mock shops and a subway. As well as dedicated cafe there is seating dotted around the museum to rest and have a packed lunch. There are toilets on both levels and a large elevator at both ends of the building. There are some large windows allowing daylight to enter and a chance to see the lovely view of the clyde. There is so much to see that you really need a few visits to take it all in. The museum itself is free to enter but there is a charge for parking, either cash, debit at the machine or pay by app. Staff on hand to offer help, advice or assistance, and a book/gift shop.

We had a great time at this museum. There is so much here it would be hard to get it done in one visit much less than a few. I enjoyed the interactivity of it all. My toddler loved playing with everything. The trains, buses, firefighter hook & ladder, subway, and so much more. I enjoyed going through the recreated town. It was like walking into a blast from the way distant past. Each exhibit had either a panel with more info of a nice video. Outside you can go into a ship and see many different things inside and outside. My daughter loves it We did eat at the cafe and I found it to be a bit pricey and the food was overcooked a bit. Overall this is a really cool place and hope we can comeback some day.

I love this museum! There's a lot to see inside from bikes to cars to trains and lots of other transportation vehicles. It is a big museum and it is completely free to visit. You can also go aboard the ship next to the museum, also for free. There is a big parking lot in front of the museum. We had a fun and interesting day out!

Piece in the history. Free entry. Going by car then pay for the parking. Nice large Café inside with plenty of sitting arrangements. You can bring your own food. Exclusive collection of historic cars, trains, bikes, cycles, and many more. This building is divided in to 2 floor accessible by lifts and stairs. Plenty of parking space.

Fantastic inside and out. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The exhibits were displayed with an eye for detail and great imagination. Bicycles up in the air, cars going up ramps and the old street all very well done. Visited for a couple of hours one morning whilst on holiday. Well worth a visit if you're in Glasgow.

Amazing place, lovely exhibits and pleasant layout. It is over two levels so ensure you make enough time to see it all as its well worth seeing everything. Great to see old cars, trains, buses all things transport related. There are two cafes on site for sit down snacks and drinks all reasonably priced. Covid restrictions in place are low key with mask wearing optional but sanitising stations are available.

It was an automatically delightful experience! We had been there with family and all of us enjoyed our time there. It was great to see and read about the history of automobiles ranging from the bicycle to the car and even public transportation. You need 2-3 hours to walk through the whole museum. Kids will surely like it. A great way to spend your weekend!

Really good museum - loads to see and do. The Tall Ship was great. My 4 year old enjoyed the stories in the shops, and the pretend vehicles she could sit in. Cafe was fine. Only issue was the excessive heat, and the fact that the cloakroom was closed due to covid.

Amazing museum and exquisite display of cars and different modes of transportation: mostly from the past. Great place for kids to spend the afternoon. It’s free admissions. Also beautiful architecture of the building, close to the river and with incredible views of the city beyond. Good place to spend an afternoon.

This museum is a must visit if you are a fan of old cars, trains, trams etc. Great place for kids. So much to see and learn. Has a large variety of transport related exhibits and some very significant vehicle models. They also have the Tall ship docked outside the museum which you can also visit and walk around.

Amazing museum, deserves more than 5 stars. We went not knowing what to expect because of word of mouth and it was better than we could have asked for. Between the museum and the tall ship we spent the whole afternoon with our three kids under 6 all entertained. The 19th Century street was an amazing exhibit and one of the best I've seen in some time. In addition the interactive displays with stories and games for the children were really good and well designed. There were a few options for places to eat there but we only stopped for a quick snack so cannot say more than that they are there. Overall I am very impressed and would absolutely recommend you take the time to visit if you are nearby.

AMAZING. No question at all as to why it landed such prestigious awards. Such a clean, tidy, interesting and well organised museum. I was, and remain, blown away by how much I enjoyed my time here. And u learned so much too. Very informative. Very interesting. Very enjoyable. Bravo And all for free entry too.

Free museum with plenty of things to look at. It was stormy out so we went here. I love an old tram or two. The other half loved the motorcycles so it was super. Toilets available, a water fountain too which was also free. A cafe on site if one wanted. Really quite liked the ship models to be fair. Lots of effort went into them and great to learn about Scottish ships and folks from the Wars and such. A good couple of hours well spent.

Excellent transport museum in a lovely riverside location. Loads to see and if you take the option of having one of the volunteers show you round it really enhances the experience. Good cafe's and washrooms. Fully wheelchair accessible. Tall ship moored adjacent to the museum. Plenty of parking nearby (at a cost) on the scenic bus tour route from Glasgow City Centre.

I would highly recommend this museum for the entire family if you’re in Glasgow. It’s and especially great option for days when the weather isn’t cooperating. The curators have done a great job with blending history into the exhibits. There are Interactive videos for kids and really amazing little short films for adults. They have recreated old Glasgow here and it’s a really great experience. Oh and the ship is awesome too!

Fantastic museum to visit especially with little ones. It has something for everyone and when its open the tall ship is a fantastic bonus. The museum is free although there are plenty of opportunities to donate money. The car park is has coin only ticket machines but you can pay online or via the phone. I've been about 3 times now and managed to stay about 2 hours each time and whilst my son has got older he's moved from looking at the trains to taking interest in the cars other retro artifacts.

Fantastic way to spend an afternoon! Very close to the city centre with plenty of reasonably priced parking which is easily offset by the free entry to the museum itself. The entire place is maintained to a very high standard with a lot of very interesting exhibits with rich histories from trains to prams and subway carriages. Very educational place to visit which is nicely rounded off with a visit to the cafe upstairs which has spacious seating and great views over the Clyde, would definitely recommend, especially for kids as there are lots of interactive elements for them to enjoy.

TL;DR - I highly recommend this gem of a museum! The Riverside Museum (free entry) covers all forms of transportation and the part each mode played in Glasgow's history. There are also exhibits about everyday life. My absolute favorite exhibit was the reconstruction of a Glasgow street from the early 1900s. An added bonus is The Tall Ship located directly behind the Riverside Museum. Entry is also free.

This is a very comprehensive museum of modern science of transport, with quite a few interactive displays where kids can enjoy themselves all around. Displays are very detailed and showing amazing replicas (in many cases originals) of objects from the past. As a bonus, entry is free which does make a difference for bigger families. Easily couple of hours of well spent family time. Totally recommended.

For a free attraction, this is worth a visit. Lots of things to see with some interactive areas too. Lots of history attached to the various exhibits and loved the old cobbled street area with the old shops and the Glasgow Subway. Stayed for just over an hour but could definitely have stayed longer if it wasn't for a pre arranged lunch booking.

This is one of the best museums I have ever visited. I was really impressed as I was visiting from the U.S. this museum had amazing exhibits and a large variety of different objects from trains to cars to motorcycles to ships. Wow great job putting this together. The admission was free but a donation is requested. My next trip I will be back because I haven’t seen everything. There was a duo playing music while I was there and they were great. The hop on hop off bus also stops in front of the museum. This is a definite place to visit when in Glasgow don’t miss it.

It’s a bit hard to summarise this museum’s eclectic collection. My best effort: A great collection of historic transport machines. A combination of cars, trams, trains, boats, bikes and metro On top an old English city street is rebuild. A must visit for the younger engineers thanks to its interactivity as well as their parents who are interested in technology

A great place to visit if you have kids or not! So much to see and do in a nice condensed space. You can wander around at your leisure or sit and chill with a picnic. Many people were coming in purely to use the cafe or visit the ship. Best of all it’s completely FREE! (Small charge for parking)

Great place,I love historical cars carriages ,and this place has it all, free admission which is a bonus, only downside the tall ship outside was closed , don't blame to be honest never been in a rain storm like we had the day we visited, lovely lady at entrance asking if anybody needs help just to come straight to her, excellent. P.s there's a cafe inside please try the lemon cake it's brilliant.

Lovely building by the River , good parking, plenty of space. Top marks for planning the displays, the bicycles in particular = a 'track in the roof '. Something for everyone, super place to take visitors. Tall Ship is a great attraction from the 'youngest to the oldest.' Delicious coffees and cake/ scones on each visit. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great selection of ' bits and bobs' in the shop.

  • 1/5 Doug N. 4 years ago on Google
The most extensive collection of ship models anywhere, now astonishingly poorly displayed. Each ship model is an exquisite piece of craftsmanship and art, deserving displayed in a manner allowing its individual appreciation (as they were displayed in the old Kelvin Hall museum), but they are instead used in some kind of "installation" display, "sailing past" in a darkened room, or on a shelf above head height, mooning the public with only their bottoms on display. By the same principle, maybe the paintings of the Dutch Masters in the Kelvingrove Gallery should be animated around the walls, to lend the display some "atmosphere" of Amsterdam or Delft in the 1600's ?

Beautifully kept exhibits: cars, trains, trolleybuses, etc, and the staff are really friendly and helpful if you have any questions. What makes it better...is that it's FREE! Coffee shop, too. Will definitely return here next time I'm in the area.

Well spent 3 hours in here. It also have a old ship in the back. It is absolutely magnificent. Must go whenever visit Glasgow at least once..

Fantastic museum. Can't believe it's free. Lovely exhibits, well laid out. A lot of thought has gone into the design of the displays. It is mainly transport, cars, motorbikes, buses, ships and bicycles. There are other things as well. Lovely eating places. Well worth a visit.

Amazing museum full of nostalgic vehicles. The old style street that they built is the best. Can't believe this place is free to enter so mad ensure I donated. Will visit again. With such a small space there is so much to see. Keeps the kids happy and entertained too.

Come for the cars be amazed at the architecture and explore the tall ship. This has to be one of the best places to visit in Scotland. It's not just about cars it's also about the history of Glasgow. You can take a trip down memory lane and visit a Glasgow street back in the hey day and learn about the shops and life from the early 20th century. Then walk round the amazing displays of cars, motor bikes, trains and even a subway ride. There is so much to do here and great for kids with fun activities like putting out a tenement fire or driving a train. A trip here is not complete without a look around the tall ship. This really is a voyage of discovery. Clamber through the ship exploring the different roles the ship played during its long life. Don't forget to help wash the decks, my two little ones spent at least 15 minutes doing this both going in and coming out. There are lots of places to grab a coffee or a bite to eat with a nice cafe on the second floor of the museum, a great cafe in the tall ship that has a good selection of sandwiches etc. If you fancy something more filling then head to the restaurant where you can get a really amazing meal and all of it at reasonable prices. All in all a full day out and a very enjoyable one.

Great free museum, loads of Glasgow history to absorb and they’ve done brilliantly to rehouse the collection here from the original Kelvin Hall site. The modernity slightly shaves a little of its original charm off but that’s probably just childhood nostalgia.

I could spend all day here and not run out of fun things to see and learn about. The Riverside Museum is one of the better museums I've visited, and they seemed to have every sort of Scottish transportation on display. I was especially intrigued by the unique displays they had on old preserved boats they excavated from river banks. They had to be at least a few thousand years old, and were in good enough shape to be on display. Kudos to the curators, who have made a fantastic presentation! I only wish I had more time to peruse the impressive collection.

Very pleasantly surprised here. I'm always interested in a free museum and love transport so it was a natural to walk over after seeing the Kelvingrove (it's about 15 minutes). So much here, trains, streetcars, autos, motorcycles, ships, everything you would want in a museum such as this. The Tall Ship just outside is also free and reminds you how uncomfortable sailing ships were. Not much more to say except that if this sort of museum interests you, definitely stop by. Glasgow has great bus service but different companies make it a little complicated at times. I took First Bus to the Kelvingrove, walked here, and took the 100 Riversider (Garelochhead bus) back into town.

I visited this museum in January 2020. The museum itself is well laid out and has a good variety of different transport vehicles. For me, the best part was the guided tour by tour guide Keith. Keith was really knowledgeable and was able to answer all the questions that we asked. Keith brought us around almost the whole museum and was able to give us some first hand knowledge of the vehicles on display. Definitely worth a visit, admission is free and the Big Red Tour Bus stops right outside.

Transport museum is a must if you are visiting Glasgow. So interesting all the old classic cars, trains, boats etc. Really interesting, even for someone that would not have been that into transport. We spent about two and a half hours there but if the children were with us we would have been there longer. This was our first visit and I would definitely take my family back again. The volunteers have so much information to share. There is also the tall ship outside which we thoroughly enjoyed looking around. Quite fascinating. Highly recommend this as a fun way to spend a couple of hours.

Glasgow's incredible transport museum, housed in the purpose built Riverside building - a spectacular collection of all sorts of vehicles spanning hundreds of years of innovation. Make sure not to miss the huge steam locomotives, the wall of cars, and definitely jump on board the tall ship! Entrance to the museum is free (as with most of Glasgow's museum attractions), including a visit aboard the tall ship moored outside the exhibition hall.

Free tickets have to be prebooked through the website, there is parking which you have to pay for - we were £1.60 for an hour. My wee boy loved it but because of covid you can't get on anything just now which he was really disappointed with. Cleaners walking about, masks worn by everyone, arrows showing the way (although it was quiet enough that these didn't matter too much) so felt covid safe. If your kids are old enough to explain that they can't interact with the exhibitions then it's definitely worth a visit but we as my wee one is a toddler we won't go back until there is a bit more interaction.

First visit since move from Kelvin Hall, even during these challenging times the staff were welcoming. The exhibits are well laid out and as a wheelchair user I had plenty of space to get around. The first visit of I hope many.

Building slightly more about Form rather than Function, meaning that they don't quite have enough space for their exhibits. But, still a very nice museum. Wel worth a visit. Note that although entry is free, the parking is not.

Great maritime experience on the Tall Ship and the museum has got a lot to offer such as wide range of old school cars, train's, etc. There is also a space for children under the deck on the ship and inside museum. Highly recommended!

Awesome place to visit... We spent a good couple of hours wandering around all nostalgic like! We jumped on the open top bus for the tour of Glasgow from there too. Oh not to mention the tall ship.

How was the Riverside Museum you ask? I was there getting a Covid test and although, I imagine not Riverside staff, they were fantastic - attentive, friendly and informal but very professional and safety conscious, I give top marks!! (By the way, it was negative...) I will be back and recommend the car park to all (Ps, I do genuinely love this museum pre-covid, fantastic place for families)

  • 3/5 Paul M. 3 years ago on Google
In the current Covid climate it's great to see the museum open and plenty of sanitiser and guidance in place, however it's exhibits are heavily restricted such as no access to subway tram cars, etc. There are also no interactive exhibits to keep my 3 year old engaged so he got bored quickly. Also worth noting that you cannot just walk in at present so remember to book tickets in advance.

  • 5/5 paul k. 3 years ago on Google
So many cars I used to own and memories of being brought up in Glasgow. Also test drive of a Tesla 3 booked before visiting the Museum- awesome car and the future of motoring just a shame they are sooooo expensive!

Very well-designed exhibition thoughtfully displaying selected cars, motorcycles, vans, trams, bicycles, model boats, trains and related historical items telling the history of Glasgow with a transport theme. And all free to enter. You do have to book a time slot in advance, however (covid-19).

  • 4/5 Chris D. 3 years ago on Google
Its a decent museum and a decent size but can't help but compare it to the old museum in the West End. That may be due to childhood nostalgia but it definitely seems to be missing that wow factor for the 5 stars.

Team Riverside museum I would like to share my personal experience with one of the lovely hearttoching soul her name is Caroline sorry if I spelt wrong ,she is Galery Assistant I think. I was on my job standing in rain and windy weather so many people pass, met, talk, none of them ask about how long we have to stand like this , how often we getting break, tea coffee. Are we been taken care , off course we been look after very well by company. But no body show this kind of humble ness even she offered me tea coffee I was surprised and impressed about her feeling for unknown person even who is not look like their own people. You are Gem person for the museum. Caroline .

This museum is amazing. Every form of transportation is represented. The collection is vast and extremely well designed. It is perfect for anyone interest in cars or trains. It is especially a wonderful museum for children. The tall ship is absolutely amazing. Free admission makes this an extremely inexpensive day out. Nice cafe for a meal or cup of tea.

One can call it a Maritime museum or a Transport museum . Mostly showcases Glasgow's maritime history as well as ship models. A lot of other means of transport like trains , cars ,bikes and trams are also exhibited. The ship conveyor on the top floor is the highlight .It's a good museum but overcrowded at all times. Maybe a entry fee will solve that problem.

How to go: We took the bus 100 from the SSE HYDRO. When to go: Preferably pre lunch is the best time to visit. We went late afternoon pitfall:couldn’t spend much time on the sailboat. The Riverside museum is a wonderful experience for all things automotive, from warships and sailboats to Ewan Mcgregor's transcontinental motorcycle. It even has mock up shops and a street. With well preserved period clothing and prams, many art students also might find it mausing . Its every motorhead's dream come true. A must visit on the tour of the Clyde riverside. Some of the vehicles are for show others you can board and snap yourself in a good pose. What to avoid: very small children who wouldn’t understand what the fuss is all about, the cafeteria outside.

A marvellous museum, especially given that there's free admission. Lots of things to see, the oldest bike in the world, old trains/trams/buses, a recreated underground carriage and a street scene from around 100 years ago with shops that can be visited. Lots of space, friendly staff and all clean and organised. A visit likely to take at least two hours given the number of exhibits. Lots of interactive exhibits as well.

Great family attraction in the city it's free entry you can (should) donate, it's great and museums like this are worth any donation. You can easily spend a few hours here, plenty to do for kids but also plenty for us big kids too. Handsantizer throughout.

A superb addition to the waterfront that has something for everyone. Brilliant displays of all kind of transport from 2 wheels and more as well as plenty ships to discover, including to Tall Ship outside; with plenty history of the area and lots of information on the displays. The architecture is not to bad either. A great place for all the family & it's free. If in Glasgow you should go, it's highly recommended!

Great museum with lots of interesting things. The 19th century age location impressed us the most. Of course the big trains are hard not to be spotted, cars have a nice story to tell too. Overall is a beautiful place to be and the staff is great as well.

Free Attraction !!! ———————————- Step back in time and be prepared to view the most beautiful collection of transportation in the UK and possibly the world. Kids will love this place, adults will adore it too!! It makes a lively days out and all of this for free? I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The children can get onboard the trams, buses, trains, etc and have a fun days out. Most importantly this place is covid secured. Staffs are also polite and helpful.

A fantastic attraction! I highly recommend this museum, even if you are only vaguely interested in transport and old vehicles! We took our 5 year old there, and he loved seeing the vehicles that are on display. Some of our highlights were; - three fire engines dating from the 20s, 40s and 60s - the trams - full sized trains - cars from the turn of the 20th century The museum is well staffed, very open, and has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.

  • 5/5 Frank M. 2 years ago on Google
What a fantastic experience. Something Glasgow has to be proud of. Not only can one get lost for hours in the museum the tall ship and its history is superb, to be able to walk into history when you go aboard. The staff were very polite and interactive with the visitors which makes for a great experience 👍

  • 3/5 C.G 2 years ago on Google
The museum itself is good, however after traveling up the westcoast by train I discovered that the bus they state on their own website that takes you from Glasgow central no longer runs, be prepared to spend £15 just in taxis to get there from the station. I get that the bus isn't run by them but they are still advertising it on their website, if I had known beforehand I could have planned the day better instead of waiting two hours for buses that never appeared.

This is by far the best Transport museum I have ever been to. Far far better than the London Transport museum and its FREE, yes FREE to get in. It was informative, educational, amazing loads of brilliant exhibits and the cherry on top was the sailing ship moored at the rear of the museum which you could also go on. What an amazing Day I had.

  • 5/5 Noor Al H. 1 year ago on Google
That's an awesome place to visit to get an idea of rich history of Glasgow's transport evolution. It has got historical rails, buses, ambulances, fire engines, cars, horse carts, motor cars, the famous Arnold Clark wall and numerous other things. Kids can go inside some of these as well. Very informative!!!

  • 5/5 Wark W. 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely fantastic! A great day out for all the family. Lots to see and do, with most of the museum being interactive and allowing you to get right up close and personal with the exhibits. They also have guided tours which are even more informative, however going without a guide is still great.

Really fun and exiting. Free to get in and explore with a recommended donation of £5 per person. Our children loved it here and we spent hours looking at everything and taking photos! There are a lot of interactive exhibits and things to see and do, we picked up some clipboards from the HelpDesk with a Halloween themed hunt for letters around the museum

  • 5/5 Lee R. 1 year ago on Google
Great selection of vehicles and exhibits and lots of history. The museum is free to enter so please donate if you can to keep places like this going for everybody to enjoy. There are some cracking vehicles on display and everything is set out so you get a good view with descriptions and history placards on most exhibits. There are good toilet and washroom facilities and a little cafe upstairs for refreshments. There is also a great looking tall ship being restored at the rear of the building on the river.

A fantastic beautifully designed museum with 1,000's of exhibits in the collection of many different types of transport. Traction engine, tube train carriage, bus, fire engine, tram, steam train, bicycles, motorbikes, numerous superb classic cars as well as toys, fashion, recreated street scene and shops. You could easily spend half a day here. Also has a souvenir shop and a nice cafe. It was lovely to see and hear lots of children enjoying themselves and being interested in the vehicles.

Large transportation museum in Glasgow. The building has a nice modern architecture design. Inside, the museum goes over all different mode of transportation from automobile, train, plane, ships, the underground and many others. Behind the museum is a gorgeous area to enjoy the river but there is also a ship docked that can be explored as well

THIS PLACE IS JUST............AWESOME! The first time we came here was a last minute decision for the day and wow, did we make a great decision!! It was that good, we drove all the way back the following week. There is fun, culture, history and experience for all the family and all ages, and the best part? IT IS FREE! There is so much to see, so much to do! You can go as fast or as steady as you wish. Let loose or stroll your heart out! What an amazing day out for all the family and it doesn't cost you a dime! Well, apart from lunch etc, and if you decide to go to their cafe (which I would also highly recommend as their food is amazing) their service is ridiculously fast and if you go to the cafe at the back of the museum, you can sit and eat whist looking over at the tall ship in the water! Amazing! We can't wait until we go back! It has become one of our top favourite places.

What a wonderful museum and it's free. So much to see, so well laid out. Just brilliant, great interaction for kids and adults. The tall ship is also worth looking at. It's huge. A great couple of hours spent looking about. Only problem was the parking, expensive and the machines didn't work properly and unsure if we actually needed to pay

Beautiful place, free entry, you can see vehicles from all centres in the past and nowadays. We enjoyed it a lot. The old ship was my favourite 😍. There are places to have brake and eat. There is the cafè on the ship where you can relax and have some food. I would recommend this museum to everybody: kids, youths, adults and elderly people.

A free museum located near Glasgow's Tall Ship Glenlee. If you want a trip back through memory lane to see old shop fronts, old vehicles, tram lines, this is the place to go. A very nostalgic museum, really interesting.

A huge transport museum on the banks of River Clyde. Suitable for kids, adults infact all age groups. Thousands of vehicles to see & click pics with from the history of Britain & from the period of Industrial Revolution. Its not just a display of makes, designs & colors of these vehicles but also of the hark work, innovation, collaboration. Must visit place when in Glasgow. 2 cafes, 1 with food & beverages & the other with only beverages. Toilets available. This visit also includes a boat banked right behind the museum. Also I wasn’t expecting museums to be as big as the London museums.

  • 5/5 Janet F. 8 months ago on Google
Delight for children and their families! Blown away by the volume of transportation vehicles on display. So many exhibits for children to play in and with. Outstanding! The clipper ship Glenlee docked outside another huge plus! Free admission, donations encouraged.

Great museum. Free entry. I recently visited the Riverside Museum, and it was a great experience. The museum offers a diverse collection of transportation history, from vintage cars to old trams, and even a tall ship. The interactive displays and well-preserved exhibits were fascinating. The only reason I'm not giving it a perfect score is that some areas were not working well. Nevertheless, it's a must-visit for anyone interested in Glasgow's transportation heritage."

  • 5/5 Laurie M. 7 months ago on Google
This museum is an absolute gem, one of the best I've ever made. As well as being free and very well maintained, it's extremely large, with different scenes for different eras, so I had stars in my eyes. If you're ever in Glasgow, don't miss it, I didn't think I'd be interested in transport, but it's a trip back in time. Every city should have a museum like this one, I've fallen in love with it!

OMG this place blew us out the water the very second we stepped through the doors. Why tourism Glasgow aren't hopping up and down shouting at the to visit here is utter madness. Such an amazing collection of the strangest, coolest and interesting vehicles under one roof. Each piece has been presented to such a high standard and is in great nick and made super easy to view. You could spend hours here. Please, visit this museum, you won't be disappointed. If you are then seek therapy.
