Went with our 3 girls. 10 yrs, 4yrs & 2yrs. All slides where open which was a great bonus! Minus the yellow lightening slide. 10 year old had a buzz. Absolutely loves going here, she goes on every slide and enjoys the wave pool. The big bucket was off when we went but saved me worrying about the younger 2 when it comes down!. The 4 year old loved it. 1st time at a proper water Palace like this and she had a great time. Keeps asking to go back. 2 year old preferred the hot toddler pool as the other water was just a bit too cold for her and she didn't like the water in her face. The staff are all super helpful. Toilets are all clean and tidy. Stayed our full 2 hrs and loved it. Will definitely go back!. Note. If your children have food allergies don't go go the cafe within the establishment. Don't have an allergy sheet. Big let down. 2 children in our group have milk intolerances, and we ended up just leaving the cafe all together. Other than this side note we loved it! 5/5 for us. ( would be 4 because of the cafe but this is more about the swimming aspect )

Disappointed with the pool as most of the slides weren't working. We were offered to change the day but that wasn't an option as we were going back to England the following day, however the children did have fun especially with the wave machine. Ice skating was really good and a male member of staff was showing my 5 year old grandson how to skate, he was so patient and lovely with him.

We often visit the time capsule and entry is always quick and fast, if your on time. We always book online or through the app. Top Tip - if you arrive before the time on your booking you will be asked to wait outside or in your car until the exact time of your booking. Around 40-50% of Lockers don’t lock, it can take a few minutes to find a locker that is working properly, this is particularly frustrating when we have a family of 7 and need 2/3 lockers, staff have always been attentive and helpful when asked for assistance. Only 1 of the 2 single slide flumes have been open the past year, we have often had to wait 10-15 mins in a queue to have a turn, the Bigger flume where you use an inflatable to go down in a group is usually a quick turnaround and our kids use this most often. The dump zone is supposed to have a massive bucket that drops water everywhere and hasn’t worked this year, it’s a shame because it takes away from the whole water play area. The wave pool is awesome, if your a good swimmer you can have lots of fun in the deep end, but the waves do come all the way back to the shallowest areas so your smaller children can enjoy the experience safely. Whirlpool is great, fairly powerful, but we have noticed there can be a build up of dirt on the floor in the central area, not ideal! There’s plenty of slides for younger/smaller children, plenty to do that is in working order. Staff are always happy and helpful to us but the fact that there are many things that need fixed means sometimes you can leave feeling like you’ve maybe not got enough for your money.

This is a really fun place for kids. We visited today for the first time and really enjoyed it. The only thing that ruined it for me was the way a member of staff dealt with my young severely autistic son whilst we were waiting outside in the queue. My son is 8 years old but mentally is only around 1-2yrs. It is very obvious that he is disabled. My son touched the member of staff and sniffed him. The staff members response was to jump backwards saying WOW with his face like thunder. I appreciate that he wasn't expecting it but my son wasn't aggressive towards him at all. I was rude to the staff member and I would like to apologise for this. But I would also expect that staff in a facility used by families with young children would have had training or experience in dealing with people with disabilities. And could react in a way that wasn't humiliating for us. More training is definitely needed for staff in this facility in terms of autism and disability in general

This place was fine. I mean, it's safe - there's loads of lifeguards around - but the facilities are needing quite a bit of TLC. The paint on the tiles is faded, the changing rooms are needing a good pressure wash, and the toilets smelled and felt like a football match day toilet. That being said, the kids wouldn't have noticed. The flumes were fast and the wait was not too long, the water is a lot warmer than other pools in the Central Belt (looking at you ON-X and Lagoon), and the unique layout with the riptide river was very good for the kids. It's needing some upgrades and changes to make it better, but it was fine. Busy, a bit manky, and not up to scratch as others, but it's a lot of fun and the kids had a blast.

Dirty changing areas. Hair everywhere. Staff is nice but the place seems not very clean in general. I wish we could have worn our sandals but they are not allowed in the pool. The pool is quite big and ok. Lots of places to splash. Kids had fun. There is one small pool which is very small and very hot and it was great

Could be cleaner This place is awesome, however, there is generally always a toilet/urine smell amongst the shower areas, indicating people urinating while showering either before or after a swim. Despite that it's an amazing day out but can be ruined by customers not adhering to the rules. You do get a holiday feel once there, the shoots and flumes are well maintained and always staffed. Bands are given for timed swimmers each getting 90 minutes. Bands provided at the reception area also work for the lockers saving having to carry change for the locker, this is refunded when you had the band back after allocated session. There is a body dryer and hair dryers on hand too

Great pool. Lots to keep the kids entertained. Plenty for younger ones as well as bigger ones. The massive bucket hasn't worked the last few times I've been there which is disappointing and the yellow flume. Defo need more family changing rooms. Changing rooms were clean enough tho

Great value for money, plenty for kids to do in the swimming pool. The coral reef for the babies is so warm! Yes the place is run down, yes currently multiple things don't work (big yellow slide, river rapids, big bucket) but it's still a good time. Really can't complain for the price and time you get. Staff were lovely to us. Already rebooked for next time! Xxx

Really great visit. Only one flume was off rest were on, which is great as I visited a few years ago and nothing was available. The faster flume was on which is brilliant. The wace pool was decent and the lazy river is a laugh with small chutes. Lockers were fine and changing areas kept clean

Nostalgic visit! We went ice skating this time, but the swimming zone brought back memories when we popped into the balcony. Really retro feel to the place. It could do with a wee bit of a spruce up, a lick of paint and some basic decorative maintenance to give the place a bit more of a feeling of being looked after. Still lots of fun though and we will surely be back again.

Brilliant. The gym is fantastic with helpful staff on hand. Older members in the 60+ bracket get full membership for £50 per year, great price. It has it's problems like any building it's age but if you can see past these you will be guaranteed a good time, as the advert once said, THE BIGGEST FUN IN A MILLION YEARS

I loved visiting The Time Capsule over the years it's a great swimming pool that has a lot of things to do instead of the regular swimming laps you can explore through the different sections of the pool, I remember there used to be a section where you could travel back in time and this was amazing. It was easy to get to from the train station and the prices were of good value for what you get. I would recommend this place to those who are locals.

Very run down.. grime, limescale and rust everywhere, not to mention dirty.. lots of things not working such as flumes and the things that do work are barely hanging on... strange as I was told it had recently been renovated..,!?.. staff couldn't care less and why would they when the owners clearly don't either.. shame .. 20 years ago it was great.. only reason it gets 2 stars is down to one woman at reception who let us in without a booking... that's right, you need to book!?!? Not a water park.. you will feel ripped off after..

Excellent facility and despite the age of it, all looks good. Definitely the place for kids and adults to enjoy. Staff excellent and nothing was any bother for them. Cafe was busy and the English guy serving at counter was very good and polite despite under pressure.

Its went right downhill over the years, yellow flume was broke and every time you go 1 of them is always broke. pools were really dirty and we were 1st in in the morning at 10, there was about 60 hair bobbles, chewing gum, bits of goggles and black rubbery stuff all at bottom of pools. Tiles cracked, main pool was cold. Again just very run down now and after going for years can see it really falling away. Surprised if its opened in 5 years!

If i could rate no stars I would!!! Went to Time Capsule at the weekend, and wish I had read the reviews first! We did stay for the full session as we had paid a ridiculous price, but did not enjoy our time. Pool has not been cleaned in a long time. We found creme egg wrappers floating, which have not been on sale since April! Towards the end of the session there was excrement floating in the water that had not been noticed by the ridiculous amount of lifeguards who were standing around picking their nose and gossiping. The only good thing about this place is the speed of the flumes, however this only happens because the sheer amount of algae that has built up! I now have an infection due to the absolutely sickening dirt that lines all areas of this water park. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!
