The car park is an alright size but when we were there the park got busy at lunchtime and there weren't enough spaces due to how people parked. The toilets are beside the car park and in portacabins but there was only one working and there was no toilet roll in any of the cubicles. There is a food and drink place at the car park as well. There is a good selection of food on offer and ice cream as well just ignore the price list on the wall outside. The park has a great bike trail with plenty of jumps. There is also a training area for people learn about bike safety that's a really good size and well laid out. The kids play area is brilliant. It's very big and has lots of different things to play on. It is also split in to different age category. The exercise area has plenty of fitness equipment unfortunately some were broken but it was still good fun. The walk round the park is very easy and not strenuous and is a good place to take your dog for a walk. The walled garden are at the top of the park and it's got lots of seats and is nice and quiet.Nature corner is nothing like the picture you see. It's a building site is the only way to put it. Hopefully it's just temporary and will go back to the way it is in the picture. The pond is getting drained so is fenced off so can't walk around it. The model railway has a sign saying it is open in the summer only but doesn't give a date for when it's opening. There is good open spaces for a picnic or to play football, badminton etc but it on a hill.

Great visit to this park quite big very surprised. Parking spaces available even when it was very busy. Little shop here to buy chips and hot dogs and ice poles etc. Great place for a picnic with the family. Big play park for the children, and swans and ducks were present also.

Barshaw park is great day out for a picnic and fun in the park for all ages, There was a train ride, bouncy castle, car ride for little ones and there is also 2 bike tracks for learners and more experienced children & adults to test their skills on. There is a big play parks also for children to play in and a basketball court. The park is well kept and has lovely view from the top of the hill as you can walk around the large path way see swans, ducks and wildlife there. Oh and there is an outdoor gym machines too.

Lovely view from the hill top and a great park for a wee stroll. Has a very very good playing area for kids (has a separate section for small kids). There is a section with free to use exercise machines, a beautiful small pond with some noisy swans and ducks. There is a cafe and restaurant option and you can grab a quick bite if you need to. Restroom facilities are available just near the entrance/car park. Overall a great park for short outing.

A lovely park with good parking access, a cafe and ice cream vendor. The pond is a good size and few circuits give a good workout, there is a peace garden run by volunteers that is quiet and provides a nice place to sit and enjoy the fresh air in peace and quiet. Another nice afternoon circling the pond and sitting in the sun.

Great park for the kids and to get some fresh air and a walk. 2 play parks, one for 5 and under and one for the older kids. Has an older concrete court with hoops for basketball or footie. Along the Glasgow road side is a BMX track and also a fenced area for kids on smaller or balance bikes which is laid out like mini roads. Public toilets are behind the cafe which is situated up at the car entrance to the park. These are back open after being closed during covid. Cafe has a sit in area or a counter that serves outdoor and is handy for ice cream. Rest of the park is green space to walk or roll down the big hill. At the back left of the park are the gardens of peace which is a quiet area with some nice flowers but needs a bit of tlc. Last thing is a public golf course, best to book!

One of the first parks that we visited as a family after arriving in the UK and i have to say, it is beautiful! This is a vast open space with a small hill-like climb, a cycling area, a small pond with swans, a children's play area and an amazing walkway! We loved it and would recommend everyone to visit this beautiful place to just take a stroll and let your kids enjoy fresh air.

Beautiful well used park in Renfrewshire perfect for walking, taking the kids to the playpark, picnics and dog walking. There is a nice wee cafe too. The downside. I'm not sure who to be more annoyed at the little darlings that keep vandalising the toilets (apparently) or the council whose only response is to keep them closed rather than exploring other options - even paying toilets would be better than nothing. Do better.

Great for dog walks and families. For the former you have the dog run plus the wooded area which gives variety. For kids you have the play park and the train on a Saturday. Food is available via the Tearoom and other facilties.

Great local park. Spoiled a bit by a dog jumping up on my grandson and the owner insisting she was allowed to have the dog off the lead because it was a park. I don't think so!

The park itself is great for kids and adults. However can't say the same for the Cafe which is nothing to do with the park. Charging Β£3.50 for a twirly coloured lollipop is absolutely outrageous. So beware if your kid asks for a lollipop. Don't buy it there.

Not as good as it used to be, far from it in fact, but still a lovely little place to visit. Unfortunately the small zoo is almost always closed in my experience and is quite rundown when it is open. There are a few interesting animals, including peacocks there, but the state of the zoo itself isn’t to be admired. There also used to be a small train that ran through a little area in the park, which again, seems to be almost always off nowadays. Regardless there is still a nice pond there and plenty of green spaces, and a half decent area for the kids. It’s still very pretty and worth a check out if you happen to be walking. It’s also quite hilly in places and has a few small but good wooded areas.

Excellent facilities. Family oriented. Has a cafe with reasonable prices and food is acceptable. Porta cabin toilets were closed around 4pm last weekend so was disappointed. I love the lively swans, ducks, seagulls and pigeons. This is my favourite Park now. You could spend an entire afternoon here, with or without kids/dogs

Lovely local park, well kept and nice to walk around. Has a lovely pond, a bike track for the kids and a huge playground and also has a large fitness bit for those into that kinda thing. Also has a sit in cafe or a takeaway bit for ice cream, drinks and food. Loads of swans on the pond this time of year as well.

We like to walk in the park, it is lovely and quite a big green place to walk, picnic, run, or exercise. There is a small restaurant where you can have lunch or just dessert with tea/coffee. There is also a swan pond and playground for children. And cherry on the top - flower garden. Recently, some allotments were built, too. So, something for everybody.

Love Barshaw Park, great we miniature train that the model society look after and take you a wee turn round the track.

  • 4/5 Tricia B. 5 months ago on Google
Nice little park, the paths are all paved and wide, there is a small area designated to letting your dog off lead, The park is clean, but sign of wear are starting to be noticed, there is a walled garden, a nice place to sit in the peace and quiet while you contemplate life. There is a big pond, that is full of ducks and swans There's a good cafe on site, that is worth a visit There is plenty of parking and the view at the top of the hill gives you amazing view over paisley and towards the gleniffer braes, the hill is great in winter when it snows, its a popular for sledging, There is a miniature railway but I don't think it operates in winter only in late spring and summer, There is two large play grounds, one for the younger kids the other for older kids, the younger kids park is securely fenced off. There's also a bmx track but with signs of neglect, there is also a street style track that you can use to teach the kids how to use roads when on their bikes, but it also is neglected, but can still be used safely There is toilets on site, I'm not sure if they are always open There is a bus stop right outside the park
