Dowanhill Park

Tourist attraction Park

👍 Fairly small but has enough space to walk the dogs and a few things in the play park to keep the kids busy. The grass areas are a little unusable just now with the weather being so bad but potentially a place to sit in summer too People often mention park, kids, play,

Beautiful nice for kids. Busy between 3 and 5pm as school is right next to the park.

Dowanhill park has become infested with the unruly kids from notre dame primary school. They drop their litter, damage the trees by pulling on the branches, run around with the broken off branches and scream and basically have no respect for anyone . Their parents dont keep an eye on them and the kids seem to be allowed to run riot and take over the whole park making it very difficult to have and enjoy a bit of space or a relaxing seat in the park. They already have half the park as a play area yet they want to take over the whole park.

It's a good little park. There are rides for young kids, but it tends to be taken over by older kids - not complaining, just pointing out. It also gets insanely crowded when the schools let out. There is also a nice grassy area with trees and benches to relax.

Dowanhill Park is nestled in the West end and is a great spot to bring your kids and dogs. It has a fenced in play ground for the kids, a day care, and the good sized field for dogs to play. Good location, well maintained, and well laid out. Enjoy it!

Speaking from a dog owner point of view, it can be muddy at times but it's enclosed enough to give the dog space to run around and burn off some steam. Plenty of space to throw a ball, and lots of friendly people go there

Small wee park often visited by locals with children. Right in the heart of Dowanhill. Can be lively in a nice summer day way. Has benches. Grass could be maintained better by the council.

Dowanhill park has gone a bit *downhill*, sadly. Looking very worn and weary, and the teenagers tend to come and takeover all the swings and kid's play things, and use very loud rude language around all the small children. Used to come here all the time but not enjoyed it the last few visits, sadly.

This is our local park and we take our puppy here nearly every day. The regular walkers are very friendly and our puppy really loves running about and playing with his furry friends. Downsides are people tend to leave their rubbish and food debris under benches. Super frustrating as our puppy will eat absolutely anything and we're always having to pull stuff out of his mouth.

Climbing area is pretty basic and uninspiring. Grass and surrounding areas overgrown and litter all around. Definitely better parks in the area

Nice wee park. Children's play area is fenced off which feels safe
