Newlands Park

Park

👍👍 Plenty of space to roam. Great place for dogs with lots of responsible owners and areas to run about. Tennis courts and play area for kids. Small cafe area, have not tried yet but seemed to be popular operating under takeaway rules due to restrictions. Will certainly go back. People often mention park, lovely, area, nice,

Visited for the first time today. Lovely small park with nice easy walks and plenty to see. Some really nice specimen trees, shrubs and herbaceous borders alongside lots of pleasant grassy areas. A nice extensive rockery area with appropriate plantings and interesting looking paths and trails through it, along with a sizeable wildlife pond. It has kids play area and tennis courts within easy reach of a fab cafe in what would have been the sports pavilion.

Excellent recreational facility. Numerous entrances no trouble parking. No play park mainly seniors enjoying a good walk. Coffee and sannies available if required. Not as busy as the Glen and nice to stroll.

A hidden gem. I only found it about two weeks ago on my way to a different park. Very well looked after, child and pet friendly and it also have a lovely cafe in the center. Perfect for a walk or a snack.

Small park, but beautiful grassy areas, with mature trees and shrubs throughout. Quite a few benches for sitting on, and great wee Daffodil Cafe for food. Some lovely flower beds too.

Newlands Park is my home turf. A lovely calm suburban oasis which attracts a rich and diverse group of visitors daily and is always a feast for the eyes throughout the year with beautiful cultivated garden areas, green spaces and mature trees. Perfect place for walking a wee dog and de stressing after a busy day. Upgraded tennis courts will doubtlessly attract the usual cream of society from the local area initially but hopefully in time will become a much used facility by all, in the manner of the Queens Park courts. As Glaswegian Victorian parks go, NP takes some beating.

Nice well kept park. Lots in little paths and great for wheelchairs to get around. Could have more flowers but nice to visit, people strolling around with their dogs and kids. Visited Cafe which was nice, sat in outside area and staff very friendly

This is a lovely park and plenty of seats to rest on and the Pavilion is a lovely place for a cuppa / food or a ice cream. They also have great tennis courts and dog walking facilities.

Park a shadow of its former self thanks to the no maintenance regime of the Council. Previous Park's managers must turn in their graves if they seen the state of this park. King of all the mess is the mud pond....flowers beds not turned or pruned .....grass not cut, Dear Green Place it is not.....grrrrrr. The tea room and staff on a Sunday fantastic.
