*Please rate this review as helpful if you found it helpful.* Buchanan Galleries has good range of stores available for one to shop. I also has restaurants on the third floor. A little secluded but still nice as you can look down on the mall. They also do have some cafes on the bottom, such as Krispy Kreme, milles cookies and Mr. Pretzel's. The boots store is really big and has a big range of products and a pharmacy. It looks really nice durning the winter months with pretty christmasy decorations. I would recommend people to go there!

The Buchanan Galleries is a mega-sized shopping centre found in Glasgow at the top of Buchanan Street. You can get through here to get access to the bus station through John Lewis and I think it's a wonderfully designed shopping centre. It's got a huge range of shops here including a food court and I think this place is great, it's also got free public toilets to meaning even if you're in the area there's the men's toilet and women's toilets and disabled toilets that can be accessed via a RADAR key. It can be quite busy at the weekends but it's quiet during the weekday, and I loved exploring all the local sales here, there isn't many individual businesses it is mostly retail chains such as John Lewis and Boots but it's very bright and clean with plenty of places to sit. There is also an Amazon locker here too with vending machines so you can pick up your products on the go which I thought was a nice touch.

Beautiful building and the staff were very friendly and well mannered. We went to see Hans Zimmer and John Williams concert. The Star Wars characters from the Imperial Scottish Garrison were amazing 👏

Shopping centre in the heart of Glasgow, with many shops under one roof, with the manor store being John Lewis. There are your common stores, like Boots and smaller independent stores. All under cover so good on a damp day. It has two main levels with four access point and a large car park adjacent to it. A good place to browse for shopping.

Glasgow is the undisputed shopping Mecca in central Scotland, the Buchanan Street area is, particularly, a shopping paradise. With the Buchanan Galleries and Prince's Centre being two of my own favourite places. The contrast (and choice), of shops and food stops should please most tastes.

This venue is wonderful, there seems to be 2 bars on every level where the entrance to the seating area is, and has plenty of room. I only have 1 gripe, is the actual seats aren't the comfiest, they aren't unbearable or too tight, but in other theaters I've not been quite as uncomfortable. The music sounds phenomenal in the seats however, so I do highly recommend this place!

Now I'm staying close to the place I am here more often than ever before. Mostly I use the Sainsbury's for my weekly shop but sometimes I'll use the Burger King upstairs. It's always pretty clean and maintains a comfortable temperature throughout I find. Also there is a Flying Tiger shop and a local collective artists shop which are my favourite places to visit.

After a dissapointing visit to the Ovo arena the previous weekend, the Concert hall was such a welcome contrast. Great venue, brilliant staff and bar reasonably priced. The Everly Brothers "Walk right back tour" was absolutely fabulous too. Great night out!

Seems to be the best mall in Glasgow and easy to walk to from town center. Didn’t look as easy with a car. Had John Lewis location here which seemed to be the nicest department store in Glasgow. Mall had Starbucks too! Lots of options for shopping just not too many designer items located here

The John Lewis store is now much better than the last time we were here - nice layout, wide range of goods, helpful staff, and attractive prices. The parking charge for the centre was £5 for just over 2 hours I think. And a snack at Burger King was nice, tasty, and hot.

Central shopping mall with convenient car park and next to the main train station. You can find John Lewis and a large Boots plus some other big brands such as Victoria's Secret. The food court is quite basic but has a Burger King, so it's ideal if you come with the kids. The Social Bite is a charity cafe which has some ok coffee but with a social mission, so I just love to stop by and have a coffee that gives back to the community.

What I wanted was a gift voucher from Boots. I was able to find it easily. While I was there I bought a Meal Deal with Vege Gyoza & Tempura Rice, some fruit and a smoothie. It was really good and next time I'm near a branch of Boots I'll buy one again. The staff were really nice and helpful too.

Has many shops that you could need, is easy to walk, accessible. However I find that security can be dismissive and pushy towards people. A man had lost his daughter and they said they couldn't help with that. A concerning lack of empathy was shown.

Over the years this place has become less and less busy and fewer shops to attract shoppers, as for the toilets they are far from been the best, half the toilets are out of order and same goes for the sinks. However if you need to go then you need to go so it does the job provided you get to use it.

As in lockdown only Boots dispensary is open, whole area is spotlessly clean, doorman on ground floor welcomes you in and directs you to escalator

  • 1/5 Jamie Y. 4 years ago on Google
I feel personally cheated. Came here expecting to see some exquisite works of art. Step inside only to be treated to escalators and elevators the latter having some crude drawings up the side. Frankly I will not be returning until they start displaying something more artistic. I do not understand modern art at all.

Help Google We would love to hear if you found this review helpful - click thumbs up if you did. The Buchanan galleries is an excellent place to shop with many well known brands represented including John Lewis. The centre is spread across several floors with lifts, escalators and stairs giving access for all abilities. As well as shops there is a food court with enough choice to meet most palettes. It is located in the heart of the main shopping district of Glasgow. Most of the city’s shopping is in the open air so Buchanan Galleries affords respite from any unwelcome inclement weather. As malls go it is worth a visit and has its own well lit parking. Try it yourself and perhaps write your own review.

It was pretty busy for obvious reasons. But each store had their precautions. It wasn’t always possible to keep social distancing- but most people were courteous and respectful. Also visited Burger King and they had so much precaution- cleaning shelf serve juice machine screen after every use and restricting the number of people allowed to sit in. Very well organised - and felt pretty safe!

It's for pretty much most things you'd need under one roof and directly beside Glasgow's main pedestrian shopping street too. Parking is good though reasonably expensive like most places in the city centre. It's a pleasantly airy place too with plenty of light.

  • 3/5 Zoe-Jane S. 3 years ago on Google
It's alright, but like a lot of shopping centres, its declined over the years due to factors like (a) online shopping, (b) people been short of cash since 2008 when the economy crashed and never really recovered due to political mismanagement and (c) COVID restrictions hitting stores' profits. Yes there are a good range of shops inside, but many of these places, the things they sell can be found much cheaper at other shops outside of the Galleries, although The Entertainer toy shop is actually good value for money. The building needs to be refreshed and refurbished and there needs to be something done to keep customers safe as a few people have hurt/died from falling from one story of the building to another. It's alright as a shopping centre, but there are better places to visit.

Nice atmosphere although the range of shops could be better. John Lewis partially makes up for it. Downside is the parking which is always difficult especially because they insist in having so many spaces reserved for the car wash facility.

Liked wandering around, it's roomy & spacious. Can eat, drink and shop under one roof... Plenty of seats to have a rest and people watch. Shame that it's going to change next year. Big plans afoot to make the whole area totally different.. I don't want to shop online, I want physical, actual shops... I want to see & feel what im buying. I don't want to sit in front of a screen and be charged to return things....

Buchan Galleries, based in the heart of Glasgow really is a beautiful shopping mall to wonder around . A really enjoyable shopping experience! It's warm & cosy & it's decor changes with the seasons....which is always tastefully done. Their is a great choice of stores to suit all ages & prices too match. A Food Court is situated on the top floor with a good sized eating area, you will also find washrooms on this level too, suitable for all. Disabled access is available. A huge Carpark is situated to the rear of the building. Opening times; Monday-Wednesday, 9am-6pm Thursday-Saturday, 9am-7pm Sunday, 10am-6pm. A great place to r thoroughly enjoy a good shopping experience!
