Great wee shopping centre with a decent selection of shops. Got a huge Home Bargains, a large Shelter charity shop that mainly does furniture etc, a fantastic butchers shop, and two good cafes among other things. Parking area above accessed via Greenhill Road with large lift access to the centre below.

Driver paid £0.50 for parking only for keeper to recieve a £100 """fine""" weeks later. Won't return here. Not that there's anything worth going back for.

Situated at Rutherglen High Street, cant say it has many shops in it. Just a ground floor which has superdrug, home bargains, savers and Greg's. Just be aware it closes at 4 pm on Sundays.

The food is beautiful and wonderful, with several sandwich options, all kinds of pasta, and all kinds of soup. Beautiful and wonderful services, wonderful people, and a wonderful welcome. The prices are reasonable for everyone and the place is in the center of the city.

This is like most town shopping centres these days. Biggest shop is Bargain Buys and also a Peacocks. They have a Shelter charity shop which is mostly furniture. There is a Coffee Shop in the forecourt which has good coffee and a few card and gift shops. Apart from Bargain Buys I would not shop here very often.

Be carful when using the car park guys. The machine printed previous registration on my ticket. I didn't even check and got a £100 fine through door. The centre could be doing with a few more shops in it but charity shops are good.

Got everything u need better than Cambuslang as its just a few pubs nothing interesting. At least you have decent people and shops, banks and every other shop before u hit the town 😎😎😎

Should be more pet friendly. Silver burn are trialling this. Won't even let you tie your dog at the front entrance out of the rain. Such a shame we were turned away today. Would have spent money in the butchers and home bargains. Just went home disappointed 😞

Like a scene from a zombie apocalypse. About half of the units in darkness, buckets on the floor to catch falling water with no safety signs around them and no support staff to be seen. It was a game of dodge the weirdo. Shame really because the staff of the 3 shops I was in were lovely, very friendly and helpful. Feel for them having to work in Rutherglen though, it's not the place it used to be

Very sad to see local shops losing quality and variety. I couldn’t find any place selling simply shoes. The shopping mall needs to change as a market place may be.

Don't know how it's still open to be fair, handfuls if shops and not good ones either, place is clean and tidy right enough

  • 1/5 Martin H. 1 year ago on Google
Really needs a makeover or demolition. This used to be full of interesting shops, now just full of "interesting people". Don't even consider using the car park unless you want a penalty notice.

  • 3/5 Barry P. 1 year ago on Google
It's functional, feels a bit dated but has all the essential shops for your daily needs living in Rutherglen and it's indoors which gives you a restbite from the often damp and wet climate.

A very busy shopping centre the car park itself is a absolute nightmare. The machines seldom work correctly some are facing into the sun and are unable to be read correctly. I ended up paying £1.50 pence for my short stay. I know that it's got nothing to do with the shopping centre. But they should be very concerned as to what these customers are going through day in and day out?. These machines are out of date. When you try to contact the company concerned it's a total waste of your time and money. My advice don't bring your car!!!!!!!

This use to be a great shopping centre but it's really quiet now. Superdrugs and home bargains are the busiest shops and savers you can get into at front of arcade

Nice wee place to entertain the wee one for half an hour. Grab a coffee and out her on a few of the wee carnival based rides. She loves the horsie.

Good selection of shops . Parking at back of Centre . Traffic wardens on the main street .

  • 2/5 steven c. 1 year ago on Google
Dated shopping centre devoid of both atmosphere and attractions unless you enjoy the chicanes of buckets to caych the numerous water leaks from the roof . Requires serious investment or some major creative inspiration .

The arcade needs a bit of life injected into it, maybe pop-up stalls or a bit of something in the centre which seems under used.

  • 2/5 Jen 9 months ago on Google
Convenient I suppose for the locals, but not many shops there. Toilets were vile too, so I reported it. Thankfully the woman I spoke to said she will pass it on to the centre management.

I love the shopping centre however I decided to score it 1 star because of poor management of the parking. I used to use the shopping center and inpost frequently however recently I got the charge letter from their management company Gemini charging me £100 over 50p I didn't pay. I always pay it when I can and on that day the parking ticket machines were both broken. Still waiting for them to email me back regarding this. Just waste of my nerves and put me into anxiety so I won't be coming again.

  • 1/5 Carole Anne R. 6 months ago on Google
DO NOT PARK IN THE CAR PARK! I parked her a few months ago. The machines were broke so I had no way to pay. I was there for 15minutes trying to pay. I have a blue badge so didn’t actually need to! I then left. Months later I get a £60 fine and two days to appeal. I appealed by special delivery which they received and ignored. I have now received a debt collection letter for £170!!!! I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE EVER AGAIN! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! UTTER SCAM ARTISTS!

Are there no music shops anymore? Can't get cds anywhere locally. Thank god for charity shops. There are a lot of good shops though.

A fairly drab, depressing place. Has a couple of reasonable shops but often frequented by 'charity Muggers' and undesirables. Also changed its name from 'The Mitchell Arcade' to 'R.E' or Rutherglen Exchange, which makes is sound like a cheap, swap meet.

An insult to the people of Rutherglen, the car park is a disgrace. You now have a company hat hounds you for £100 fines even though i gad paid and displayed my ticket. Letting an English based company run your car park says it all. Everyone avoid this dump

The center needs alot of updating, i felt like I went back into time (1980's)..although its fairly clean. The butchers in there is good... best sausages!! Homebargains is decent. If you do park on the roof...make sure you keep the receipts for more than a month. I had the parking company send me a fine for £100 even though I know I paid for the parking.

I visited the RESC last week for the first time in many a year, it will be my last! My brother n law asked if I would come and pick him up to get some home essentials from Home Bargains in the arcade, it was the first time that he has been able to get out the house since the Covid outbreak from the beginning of March due to ill health. Anyway I thought the arcade would be closed and much to my amazement I found out that HB's where open for business "me thinking that every shopping center in the UK is closed due to the PANDEMIC we where in the shop no longer than 30 minutes and returned to the empty carpark on the top floor :I think I was the only person with a car in it t hat I could see, anyway a few days later I got a parking ticket in for £100! after googling to get the managements phone number to make a complaint, I noticed there was an article in the Daily Record where other customers had got tickets for £100+ for doing the exact same as me! after my phone call to the management they never cared less and passed me on a phone number for "GEMINI PARKING SOLOUTIONS" the name says it all! says it was nothing to do with the shopping center and I had to take it up with them! This is a snippet from the news article below~: In March, South Lanarkshire Council made the decision to waive parking fees and enforcement for the foreseeable future, while also suspending debt recovery services. Posting on its website, the council stated: “Parking charges and routine enforcement have been temporarily suspended across South Lanarkshire. “Deliveries and car parks must continue to operate safely – any dangerous or inappropriate parking will be dealt with sensitively but in the normal manner. Please park sensible and safely. No wonder the local high street is going down the drain fast, I for one wont step another foot in the place ever again. Disgusted.
