It's getting better. In comparison to other shopping centres it doesn't seem to have as many empty units. Good to see space used in the middle of the walkway to accommodate other traders. Hundreds of parking. Massive range of shops including Asda, River Island, JD Sports. Food Court, cinema and McDonald's within close proximity. Rivals Silverburn and my preferred option to the Fort as its under cover.

This shopping centre is vast if you can't buy what you need then you most likely don't need it. But hold off your visit until the end of lock down if you want to appreciate the forge experience very clean cleaning team are superb

The Forge Shopping mall is very clean, very maintained and full of amazing shops. Grocery stores like ASDA, Onebelow, Pound Land, Savers to other clothing brands like Peacock etc, lot of eateries too. Cafes - Bensons, Deja Vu and more. There is a fruit shop just at the entrance from duke street. Bus stops are nearby and you can drop off ASDA carts outside after loading your stuff into your vehicle or if you need to carry. Parkhead's best place to be!

Like a ghetto. The strangest shopping centre I have ever been in. Parked at the other end of the car park to avoid people banging doors into my car, walked in and went straight back to my car to ensure it still had its wheels. The selection of shops is a must see, from fake jewelry to real pawnbrokers they have it all.

A massive thanks to Liz at Forge Colour Print for our Christmas in July T-shirts for our family reunion after 60 years. Liz got our T-shirts done at short notice, they looked amazing and the family appreciate her and her team’s efforts. I would definitely recommend Forge colour Print to everyone 5 🌟 +. Thanks Liz Ash.

Could be a low 4 or a high 3. I quite like the old shopping centre actually. I have fond memories of it as a child at Christmas and going with my dad to see the Little Mermaid in the Cinema. But fast forward 30 odd years and it's slightly more depressing much like me. Everyone smokes, even the dog tied up outside was on the Vaping. Also some weird shaped women in the place, most of them look like they've put their leggings on back to front with their arse stuck inside them. Some decent shops and got something for most people. Long live the Forge

Plenty of parking and buzzing with activity! Very clean and easy to navigate. All sorts of bargains especially clothing, budget household items and gadgets. Highly recommended not to mention coffee shops and sweeties and jewellery , groceries and spas!

Thank you to security staff this evening on top floor, 2 gentlemen and 1 lady. They went out of their way to make enquiries re my Grandson’s super heroes poster which I had left behind on Saturday afternoon. They’re a credit to your shopping mall. Thanks again. Christine Bell.

One of the security men has attitude problems. very condescending, standing outside the shop, crossing his arms and watch you as you shop. never felt so uncomfortable and offended!

Didn't realise at first it closes so early! Had to go to that horrible McDonald's across the parking lot to wait for my ride home. Shops are good, some interesting places to visit.

We visit the Forge every couple of months and have never been disappointed but, oh dear! Today (November 11th) we were assaulted with a level of volume from the "music" from the moment we entered. If was unnecessarily loud and spoiled our enjoyment. We would normally give a five star rating but not today. ☹️

Our visit to The Forge was productive and enjoyable. Visited the many great shops, and my wife and my sister splashed out on new trousers and blouses from Bonmarche and New Look. Also had a great breakfast at a reasonable price in the local Bensons Cafe. All in all, a happy and enjoyable experience.

The forge has a plethora of shops. There is even a reading place for adults and children to stop at and relax in. There are massage chairs and really nice places to eat. Hair dressers, cobbler, wigs, you name it they have it.

Normally good but during these times of social distancing it was a nightmare, customers do not seem to understand the one way system, half carrying masks but not wearing! this is not the centres fault but that of the general public. The toilets however were a disgrace, half closed due to distancing and those that were open were filthy and covered in excrememt, perhaps if the cleaners were working Instead of blocking footpaths standing chatting to their friends this would be improved.

  • 2/5 Caroline K. 3 years ago on Google
What's the point of having a one way system that a lot of people are just ignoring? Don't feel safe shopping here at all just now.

  • 1/5 Andrew M. 3 years ago on Google
Horrible place to visit just now. Doesn't take covid guidelines seriously. Walking from front to back going into 3 shops, I counted 118 people either not wearing masks or having them under it under Their chin. This includes staff from officers club, sisters cafe, Holland and Barrett, the jewelers in the corner (across from one below) and hairdressers in inshops. I'm full aware of people being exempt but doubtful this many. I applaud the people wearing the lanyards to say they would be exempt. Multiple people walking down the wrong way - including security! - or the walking in the wrong way of some shops - Asda and Primark - without staff saying anything where they are at the entrance. What chance have you got. Bring on another full down lockdown.

Nice meal at Daughters. Waitresses were nice. Food was very fast like within about 7mins or less. This was my first time going there. My husband had been before and loved it so thought we should go. We will definitely be back. Also lots of stores at the Forge. Great shopping experience.

  • 4/5 David I. 2 years ago on Google
The Forge has shops that aren't in other shopping centres I usually go to. Unfortunately, it's a little out of my locale for me though, so I don't get to go often. It would be good if there was a record shop also but I can't have everything!

  • 3/5 Graham M. 2 years ago on Google
If it's cheap and cheerful (some might say tacky) you're looking for, then this place is ideal. There's not a huge amount in the place of note. Asda, primark and a couple of perfume stores along with travel agents and cheap/tacky stores.

  • 1/5 Lynn S. 2 years ago on Google
What a dump. You cannot get into the shopping mall without losing your lungs first.. then you get inside and everybody is vaping. My lungs cannot handle Forge shopping mall... Not to mention that they are breaking the law. Horrible smelly place ... Not worth my hard earned money. Wish I could give them NO STARS

  • 2/5 Nicky C. 2 years ago on Google
Mostly pound shops and stalls selling cheap rubbish for mobile phones. Couple decent shops I think. Not the best shopping centre I've been in. Wouldn't be in a particular rush to go back. Had to collect an online order of books from The Works store. Get 'em delivered next time save me going.

  • 3/5 Meg 2 years ago on Google
The forge is good enough if you're on the hunt for toys or cheap clothes. But it doesn't offer a wide variety of shops or cafes.

  • 4/5 Filip F. 2 years ago on Google
Great shopping centre holding a diverse range of stores. The only negative is the location, with streets being crowded and access quite poor.

  • 3/5 Courtney P. 1 year ago on Google
Good little shopping centre but lacking in variety. Benson's cafe should be avoided at all costs due to lack of food hygiene but the daughters cafe I think it's called is amazing. Clothes shops are a hit or miss but if you take into consideration the new next outlet that opened at the retail park then it's pretty good. Something for all ages and great soft play areas for kids although the soft play could have tighter measures in place to stop bullying.

  • 3/5 tomazpg 1 year ago on Google
It’s a shopping mall but it it kept very clean and tidy and the toilets are always immaculate. Should also say that most of the staff are friendly and helpful though a couple of the security guys need retraining. All in all it’s worth a midweek afternoon stroll as the weekends can be a bit Boris Karloff/Alfred Hitchcock - at.

  • 4/5 Elizabeth C. 1 year ago on Google
Friendly little market. Limited stall contents so best if you have something in mind eg rugs, disabled aids, food, clothes. Childrens area with trampolines and electric cars. Very good restaurant serving wide variety of meals plus separate coffee stops. Car wash in car park if needed!

The forge was very old school in how it presents on the outside but the shops were more modern and welcoming, I walked through and the atmosphere was bustling with people from different areas all mingling and shopping, with lots of wee places to sit and relax. It was lively and lovely.

It’s so tired these days, it’s such a shame. Still some good shops and cafes but it wouldn’t be my first choice. Also the Asda really smells of the chickens they cook, it was overwhelming even though I like that smell!

Was actually in Asda, looking for a couple of specific items, but could not find what I needed. I knew it was a bad sign when I couldn't even find a green basket at the store entrance - only trollies!! I daresay the rest of the shopping centre is okay, but Asda needs to improve.

This review is more on asda than the forge had a run in with a asda staff member parking hur car in a disabled bay with no badge full uniform on to be told off hur the disabled bays are just a curtesy of the store and anyone car park in them while people in wheel chairs csnt get a space due to people like this and asda dont care what happens in the car park as its not their responcability

The shopping centre is nice and spacious, but you may come across some ignorant people during the afternoon (peak). Best off turning up in the morning and leaving in the afternoon, or turn up in the evening after the peak.
