A bit of a shadow of what it used to be. Since M&S closed it is a bit quiet. There is still a variety of shops W.H. Smith, Boots, Trespass, Costa, The Officers Club, Wilko, several mobile phone shops and a few others.

Guys this is what I'd call the last chance for this monument place. Business is struggling to stay on the high Street. Every employee who works here depends on you guys and myself to go in and proper shop. See what's on offer ask the staff and keep people employed who puts food on the family table and a roof above there family's head. Please don't do online 😭. We are loosing faith. People depend on there jobs.

Shopping in the centre was a welcome respite from the dreary rain outside, the place was clean and comfortably warm and light inside and has EE, O2 and Vodaphone shops (I was shopping for a mobile). Aside from that there is a Costa to grab a hot drink and consider my Christmas present options, a Wilko to grab bits and bobs (toys for nephews and nieces), W H Smiths to buy other presents (books), Boots to buy perfumes and medicine and a Superdrug for other perfume and aftershave. Plus Officers Club to get new clothes for my work night out and Hays Travel to dream about not having to go back out into the rain and the cold.

Plenty of shops, sad to see that Holland & Barratt are closing but. Enough for anyone, few phone shops, Wilkos etc. Parking available. 3 entrances. Disabled friendly. Clean. Shop locally keep people in work.

The shopping centre itself is lovely but there are just no shops! I can't believe the owners are not doing more to attract retailers, this shopping centre used to be the place to be, I could spend all day window shopping there were so many shops, now it's mostly card and phone shops. I only go if I really have to, such a shame, such a waste!

I was a stall holder at the festive market. It had been moved indoors at short notice because of the weather. I really enjoyed the indoor market and hope they agree to host more.

Security here are the worst of the worst. Extremely rude and instantly start harassing people if things don’t go their way. It goes from 0 to 100 really fast, their staff need sorted out. I’ve complained twice already.

Stayed in Hamilton for almost 50years, it's a ghost town now. Such a shame used to be sooooo busy. Modern times have killed the shops

Empty on a Saturday afternoon. Shops are terrible and not worth a visit. A couple of phone shops a wh smiths and a load of shops selling useless tat. Wish I could say it was the opposite.

Was a time when shopping was a good experience but like many shopping centres, sadly there's been a decline. Its still better than many local town shopping centres.

Sad demise of a once vibrant shopping centre. By the end of 2023 it's doubtful whether it will withstand the current lack of shopping opportunities which is very evident across Hamilton town centre and getting progressively worse.

Very poor. Limited shops. No atmosphere. Walking to the entrance of the mall the area looks delapitated. No shops open. Coming out onto Quarry Street is disappointing, run down, and dirty. Such a shame as a few years ago was a vibrant busy town centre.

Hard to believe that Hamilton and in particular the Regents shopping centre, was once a shopper’s hot spot . Its still a nice airy looking place once you are inside but with M&S, BHS and now Wilko gone and it being unlikely anyone will take over these larger stores its future isn’t looking great. There are still some decent shops all the same including WH Smiths, Costa, the Works etc . The outside area looks poor with the old Baird’s building showing severe signs of decay, a similar fate no doubt awaiting M&S old premises. The string of shops outside the centre all seem to be closed (with one exception). I only visit for the loo or to pop into WH Smiths or for a coffee now. Theres not a lot the owners of the centre can really do with all the hits they have had and the lack of stores willing to move here but at least the council could clean up the outside area - A radical rethink of what to do with this once thriving shopping centre is needed before it turns into an derelict slum. I feel sorry for the shop owners sticking this out, it can’t be easy for them.

The only reason for entering this absolute wasteland was to use the toilets. Next time Al pish myself n save having to smell those toilets. Should have known better. In 20 years they've never smelled different. Just head to Palace grounds retail park or better yet, glasgow fort 👍

This place could be amazing. Instead it's full of empty shops. Utter disgrace the owners let this happen. You can get rent from an empty shop

Clean and a nice atmosphere but not many shops to visit and had to pay to park ☹️ won't be rushing back.

Only been here once for shopping and some lunch in Costa nice place for shopping or something to eat not too much shops but ok if you dont need much

  • 3/5 Stewart P. 1 year ago on Google
Sadly this shopping center isn't what it used to be. They have never managed to find a business to take over the old BHS plot, and I doubt there will be anyone to take over the old Marks and Spencers plot, meaning the two largest plots are empty and probably will be for some time. What shops remain, are generally good; Boots, Wilkos, The Works, Trespass, etc. It's handy if you happen to be in Hamilton, but it's not worth a trip out to it specially.

It's ok if you want a phone shop. Wilkes is a good shop. But nothing much else.

Love going round the different shopping centres to see whats new and, at 85yrs it is very good exercise for the legs and people stop me and remark on the way I dress.

A very nice and quiet shopping centre where there is shops to be found be it books and magazines from W.H Smith's. Mobile phone shops 02, EE, 3. There is a Wilko shop coffee shop even the Works Book store plus other shops like Boots the chemist.

  • 3/5 Lorna M. 1 year ago on Google
Nothing in it. Half the shops in it and in Hamilton are empty better going to the precinct shops across from Asda.

  • 1/5 Aileen D. 2 years ago on Google
Very poor. Very sad shopping centre. Think the shopping centre is needing small individual retailers instead of all the big names. The council are needing to drop the car parking charges. Motherwell shopping centre is booming and there is no charge for parking. Why would people come to a poor place like Hamilton and pay for charges for parking for the customer to spend thereon there?? Crazy!! Hamilton was never like this ever before it's such a shame.

What a sad place I don't know what's happening in Regent Shopping Centre or who owns it just now but it's an absolutely. disgrace. I actually feel depressed when I have to go there and keep saying I won't go back .

This is quite a small shopping centre. I was surprised to find a Kirkwoods store as I thought they were defunct years ago. This kind of shop appeals to older people and as I was looking for a gift for a 90 yr old it was great to find it. I was sorry to see that MnS was shut down. The centre has a Costa Coffee shop, Clintons and The Works.. The shopping centre was not very busy.

This place has lost its appeal. Lacking now with choices of shops. Will go miles away to get choice and atmosphere. Paying for parking to shop nowadays is disappointing, no wonder people go out of town if they have a option.

The choice of shops here is very poor since so many good clothes shop shut, it is mostly card and gift shops in it now with little much else, just went shopping here with family members as a stop gap before heading elsewhere for lunch.

Needs some revamping and friendlier staff. Hamilton is dying, its up to slc to invest in its resuscitation. However they don't have the talent to come up with a sustainable regeneration plan. There is a distinct void in budget efficiency.
