It's a big centre and I still get confused walking about in here. Some great art work around the centre.

My first visit to Hot World Buffet and i must admit i was very impressed with the huge food and drinks selection and everything i tried was delicious and hot. I enjoyed the Chicken Korma, Lamb Bhoona, and the Chicken Pakora was a great starter along with a lovely tasting Prawn Cocktail with fresh salad. I had just enough room left for Vanilla and Strawberry ice cream with fruit cocktail. There was garlic nan, but no peshwari coconut nan my favourite along with the Korma sauce! One of the staff behind the counter went above and beyond and made a Peshwari nan bread just for me! Great customer service from all of the staff. I really enjoyed my meal and so did Iqra the Birthday Girl. All 16 people really enjoyed our dinner and i for one would recommend Hot World Buffet to anyone. The Manager or Owner named Sammy was a very helpful, polite and friendly gentleman. I am hopeing the UK Government will be extending the 50% off food and drinks offer to get more people to come back into restaurants more often but not just on a Monday, Tuesday or a Wednesday but i hope the government offer will be extended to all 7 days a week. I will be back! Sorry my name is Roy Sinclair not Arnold Swarzennegger. I would like to add everyone can choose from Italian, Indian or Chinese food and there is plenty of it.

Really quiet due to Covid. Most restaurants empty and a few people in the coffee shop but it was missing afternoon. Nando's normally busy all day.

I enjoy going to the hub in EK as my kids love going to the skating. I would however like to see it with more of a buzz about it. I feel it's under utilised at the moment and it would be great if they could find ways to bring more people to it.

The smell of lynx and cheap hairspray plays with your nostrils. The shops stock looks like it was kicked onto the shelves. The place is dying on it's knees and looks and feels like it.

I usually visit about once a week for a walk around and to see if there is any goodies in the charity shops or bargains in the clothing stores, if for nothing else it's excersise in the dry and warm and it's surprising who you meet. So give it a try and if you see a beautifully dressed gentleman, come up and say hello and maybe go for a coffee!!! You never know!!!

  • 4/5 Harry P. 3 years ago on Google
Good Covington precautions in all areas and stores that were open. Most people were, like me, only collecting orders. Carpark free for first couple of hours.

Terrible shame that everything was closing down, even before covid. So much potential if business can be encouraged back.

A lot of the shops are closed due to lockdown, but it is a good shopping area.

The revamp of the hub looks great. It's just such a shame to see some of the restaurants closed as these are sorely missed, especially Chiquito . My family and I did have a lovely pizza and amazing sticky toffee pudding in Tony Macaroni though which was very welcome after a busy day of Christmas shopping. The centre have tried really hard to maintain social distancing by putting barriers in place to separate walking directions and arrows on the floor to indicate which direction to walk in but unfortunately there are a high volume of people who are either unwilling to, or incapable of following a one way system and act as if it is a normal Saturday shopping day, congregating in large groups to chat (rarely with face masks on) and walking in the wrong direction, slamming into people. Easy to see why the covid infection rate is so high in South Lanarkshire!

  • 1/5 Nancy D. 3 years ago on Google
The place is like a ghost town, especially since Sainsbury's closed and nothing else opened at this end of the Centre. Hence one star.

Hard to comment during this difficult time, but the Hub has never really taken off. The few eating places are expensive. The ice rink is still popular with all ages. Theres nothing else there to comment on.

Soulless almost empty space, dreadful pre covid, even worse now. Used to be a few good shops and eating places, now full of almost nothing

Think it's taken a big hit from Covid, it as many shops but ok if you need something quick, Has usual shops but 20 mins to Glasgow for larger stores, great transport link into Glasgow

  • 4/5 ScottishExplorer 1 year ago on Google
Nice experience with local odeon cinema and plenty of meal places. Some handy parking and with the ice rink, climbing also attached this makes a good day out if not the cheapest but can be everything under 1 roof visit. Would visit again to explore further but everything seems very well set out although the McDonalds did leave which is a shame.

  • 1/5 Sheila M. 2 years ago on Google
Not worth the visit. Must improve and do better. Shocking for the size of East Kilbride. Council needs to get their finger out and improve facilities foe all the residents paying local taxes.

  • 2/5 Helena G. 1 year ago on Google
The last time I was at this shopping centre was years ago and it was great it has now lost its appeal, lack of good shops empty spaces ...I will go back to my usual haunts

  • 4/5 David W. 2 years ago on Google
Decent big shopping centre but it's a shadow of its former past. a lot of big stores have left. OK if your looking to get out of the rain (which it never does in Scotland!)

  • 3/5 William C. 2 years ago on Google
Not the big shopping centre it used to be ,but still take yourself and the kids to a bright spotlessly clean experience with a massive primark ,card shops, tons if eateries ,well stocked book shop and Savers, body shop ,three pub come eateries that have old school genuine atmosphere ,Farmfoods ,Home Bargains,Iceland,to name a few..you still pay for parking after three hours on a Saturday, nothing on a Sunday.but the charges have went up during the week cant understand this as you want to fill the parking spaces with people willing to part with hard earned cash..

Great place, the mall was full of a variety of shop's. Great place to go shopping.

  • 4/5 alan a. 2 years ago on Google
A few great shops , rest are ok but depends on your individual needs..

  • 2/5 Brian H. 1 year ago on Google
A lot of money was spent on the hub but many of the restaurants in the food court have closed leaving limited choice. The town centre is not open on the evening so the place seems like a ghost town. Little or no atmosphere

  • 1/5 Amar P. 1 year ago on Google
Depressing place now that most shops and restaurants have shut down. Food at Tony macaroni was awful too

  • 5/5 Chilli P. 2 years ago on Google
Great place, plenty to do like an ice rink and cinema. Lots of places to dine at. Place is fairly clean. Plenty of shops, so it's great for shoppers. Still some restrictions due to COVID, but hopefully these will be lifted soon. Security is great and there are plenty of toilet facilities. The place can be a bit of a maze, but someone will always help you out if you get lost. Bus station and taxi ranks very nearby.

  • 5/5 Ewan M. 2 years ago on Google
Good selection of every type of store you could imagine from an ice rink to Tim Hortons it has it all. The Hub is modern and I didn't see anything that looked outdated, really nice looking. Toilets are a little dirty but you can't expect anything better. Some of the shops are actually located outside like subway which makes them a little out of the way, on repeated visits it won't be a problem. I would comment on the staff but as it is a centre there are many, if it's worth anything to you the staff in the individual stores are all friendly and helpful. I would recommend visiting! 5/5

  • 4/5 Liza W. 2 years ago on Google
Lots closed shops like every mall. Toilets spotless. KFC needs to clean their sit in area more regular. Different variety of shops to suit most

  • 3/5 Anne-Marie K. 3 months ago on Google New
There's nothing here any more! Majority of the restaurants closed down. The ice rink and cinema are still there which is great but this part of the centre cost a fortune to rebuild and its practically empty. Such a shame! Was actually better when it was the original food court.

  • 5/5 Scott M. 4 months ago on Google
Some shut shops, but most things are open. Not as active as it used to be, but the shear amount of people there day to day tells you how popular it still is. I got what I needed and had a decent time looking around. Get it before it changes. They are going to remove an entire third of it though. So do enjoy it and take it in before it's gone.

  • 5/5 John A. 4 months ago on Google
A very hig place for a small suburb town, and indeed the largest multiple occupancy covered retail space in Scotland! It was built as the shopping area for the East Kilbride Newtown in the 60s. Then bits were added. The newest section however has plans for closure & re-use as shopping habits has seen greater use of out-of-town sites. No trouble with criminality in or indeed around the site.

  • 2/5 James M. 8 months ago on Google
Very poor choice of restaurants more closed down than open. I think the shopping centre management should be taking a good look at themselves and asking why? Rent's to high or something else! Other shopping centre's don't have the same problem like Silverburn and St Enoch always plenty of shopper's.

Used to be a great shopping centre, too many empty units. Buckets out all over the place to catch rain from leaky roof
