Went to Tommy's cafe for the first time, served by two lovely friendly guys, tea was a little cold as urn didn't have enough time to heat up, we were early, but the guys gave us fresh hot tea to go, a gesture a lot wouldn't do. Highly recommend this wee place, bacon roll was ace.

Great place to shop local. It has, like most small businesses, gone through hard times with the fires of Sauchiehall Street then Covid. But this the oldest market in Glasgow has picked itself up and dusted itself down. A refurbishment and with all the traders now on one floor its making it much easier to find all your favourites. Books, sweets, cake, tailoring the list goes on, you name it. It will probably be available here. Go in help support local traders in Glasgow. You'll have a real treat of a visit.

A lot of the stalls have closed down. The upper level is non accessible now and it's scarce on the ground floor. Disappointed as it used to be a vibrant place to visit

Had something to eat at the Olive Tree, best Chinese food I have tasted. Then went to Cafe around the for a coffee and cake. Lovely hot coffee and Victoria sponge was light, tasty and very morish. Both places very reasonably priced.

The Savoy shopping centre its now been Glasgow for good few years. Is this style of shopping still in demand. Yes it is local retailers in Savoy offer real personal service. Its always worth while going in for look to check out whats in store. Some local traders do offer some great deals. The place coupld do with we bit more TLC thats why gave 3. image was taken in Sept.

This one has hidden gems. The connectionist seeks stuff at a crazy low price. The cafe is nice. Could try the bookshop. There's a few unique stores in here for gifts etc. More than this I'm glad that amongst the run of the mill high Street shops we have a place with independent retailers. Some parts remind me of the record shop scene in clockwork orange and is quite nostalgic as went there as a kid.

Always come here when I come to Glasgow and always find it interesting here and full of life and things to see. Very much and old style market feel to this place, with lots of character.

Alot of empty places , No direct access for the disabled only a lift but you need to find someone first

  • 2/5 Callum F. 1 year ago on Google
I dunno if this used to be a great place a long time ago but it's stuck in whatever decade that was. Chinese food looks good inside and a shop selling cheap drinks and snacks but that's about it.

Needs a rethink ground floor not pulling in enough customers now moved it all down to the ground floor why not pop in for for your savouries, rolls and cakes at McGhees and your confectionaries and crisps at sweet treats

I always visit the Savoy Centre when in Glasgow. Cafe at entrance as you go in serves lovely food . I always find something to buy from some of the traders who are very friendly.

Love the sweet shop. The cafe near the entrance is good. Mcgee cake shop is good. There are clothes shops as well.

  • 2/5 Dee H. 6 months ago on Google
Theres nothing in it. Its only one floor. One cafe, countless nail bars and a sweet shop.

Be careful, to mind your step with elderly customers. And security staff .

I like this centre, the butcher, the guy that sells the light bulbs, speedy alterations always use them, and I get my feet done there as well. It's a shame there's so many empty units, when I first started to shop in the Savoy many years ago every unit was full.

  • 1/5 Brian W. 4 years ago on Google
Redesign has removed busy shops from the ground floor and little worthwhile remains on the ground floor. Upstairs early afternoon on a dry weekday has less than 50% of the footfall of two years ago. Long standing businesses like the butcher and McGhees clearly have less trade. Escalator broken yet again.

Loved this place as a kid, shame it's gone down hill a little. Empty shop spaces makes it look tired. I only visit for the butchers upstairs who are fantastic, great selection of meats and are always well presented.

  • 3/5 Diana S. 4 years ago on Google
Used to love this place but it's so empty in there now. Not a great variety of shops anymore unless u coming in for something specific

Once ( about 20 years ago ) it was a wonderland of unusual bargains , now it's on it's last leg. Most of the premises are empty. A sign of the times .

Absolute disaster. Where are the small stalls with a great variety of goods. The bakers gave gone It is very depressing centre compared to years ago. The owners need to bring it back to the original concept. The disabled toilet is a disgrace. Avoid.

Went in there today. Went up the escalator had a walk around. I decided to go in to one of the pop up shops for a hair cut. I am so glad I did had a great haircut and met a real nice guy by the name of Steve. Just wished I had taken his details but anyway young guy by the name Steve and a bushy beard. It's a must if you want a hair cut.

Need to reduce rents in order to have more outlets which means more clientele and a busier Savoy centre.
