Still refunded funnily enough but not impressed by being made Made to feel like a liar and idiot by a clown

    Wanted to return a newly purchased TV that I just used for 5-10 minutes a day after the collection of the item - was not happy at all with the resolution & the colours were too vague - hence the item was not fullfilling the characteristics of a ''Smart - full HD'' TV. I wanted to exhange it for another item with improved characteristics & pay the price difference - the manager & colleagues were misinterpreting my own description & my request, stating that I shouldn't have used theTV at all if I wanted it returned - which is totally absurd & they even implied that I'm trying to deceive them. During the COVID-19 pandemic, customers can only check sth online & collect it from store - hence, what is the logical thing for a store to do if a customer is not staisfied with a purchase after simply checking it ? Although they advertise having a 30-day return policy - their policy is totally fake & ridiculous. Hence, I will forward my issue to the consumers right support agency. I stronly advise customers to move away from Argos & support other branches & local stores.

    It's an Argos store inside a shopping centre Silverburn in Glasgow. Nothing greatly exciting. It's clean and well lit. Service is adequate and pleasant. No issues with customer service. Stock levels seen to be reasonable. Standard prices compared to other Argos stores.

    Beware of buying electronic tablets from Argos! Bought a tablet to have the facility to scan barcodes but the camera on the particular model wasn't strong enough. Took tablet back to store (in original packaging etc) with intention to upgrade to a higher spec model and was told no refund nor credit note! Was told it had been used ie switched on - which we had to do to see if camera was fit for purpose, which it wasn't. Very poor service, wont be buying from Argos again.

    On the 31\07\20 I received the worse customer service experience from a lady (Donna) I had previously bought air pods for a gift. I needed a replacement as these ones broke. She had asked for the confirmation email which I did NOT receive an email of the "e recipet" which she consistantly said to me "you can't get the product unless you have the email" while I told her I literally did not get the email but what I did somehow get was the certificate of the care package, I believe has nothing to do with argos as that's what she said. So at this point I could not get a replacement because of an email, which is absolute rubbish. I had to tell her check my email history, i told her then to type in my replacement care number. I showed her my account that I have purchased this item but I do not have the email for it. So now I have a replacment care certificate, my account is open and shown proof of purchase but still Donna is not able to replace it. I didnt understand why? Me again having to think of ways to get my replacement i thought to give her my order number of the airpods and her reply was "I didn't even think off asking you that" in the end I got it, however she was no help whatsoever, I felt like I did her job for her. If it wasn't for me finding ways to get it I wouldn't had got my replacment and I would had lost around £200. My question is, are the staff trained at all?

    The working hours are a bit short on weekdays, only till 9pm. If you finish work a bit late, tough luck. Overall good selection of items but as far as I know you can't reserve items when they become available so if you want a specific item set aside a week and check daily. As all Argos stores they accept PayPal which is good.

    Took money for a PlayStation 5 pre-order but claimed order didn’t go through. Whilst I appreciate money is pending they’ve stopped me pre-ordering elsewhere as they’ve taken from my available balance and I now can’t order an Xmas present.

    Returned a broken tv today which was 6 months out of warranty and Jamie the Manager dealt with me very professionally and fairly , he was an absolute pleasure to deal with. Also thanks to Bernie who helped me search for and obtain new tv and also to David who assisted me with returning the broken tv and also getting the new TV to my car. Huge thanks to all of them, absolutely amazing team at Silverburn. Thank you.

    Good opening hours, unbeatable range of things, and handy as an eBay collection point. Common to all Argos stores is the lack of staff at peak times - be prepared to wait a few minutes for your stuff.
