    I attended yesterday 21/09/17 for my appointment. I was given a very warm welcome and made to feel at ease. Amy was the young girl who greeted me and gave me my pre check-up, she was extremely informative and her customer care skills were excellent. Having had an eye infection following treatment for cancer the staff were reassuring and made me feel at ease. The optician was informative and explained everything in detail. The whole experience was very pleasant and the atmosphere in the shop was very relaxing, a lovely experience from entering the shop to the assistant who took my payment.

    This place is all about scamming you and selling you the most expensive glasses and lenses you can possibly buy. They will lie to you to make the sale. Not kidding. I brought in my old Oakleys that have replaceable lenses and wanted the to also order new lenses for all of my sunglasses. In the end they said, "oh they don't make those anymore so you will need to buy new ones." I thought to myself that it wasn't true and was 90% certain these were still being made and sold. However, that 10% not sure I believed her lies and spent a fortune on a couple of new pairs of glasses. After I left and did some research, I found out that she flat out LIED to me and they do sell them! Okay well too late. Ordered. So I wanted to go ahead and order the replacement lenses through Oakley so I called to get the measurements they took for my other glasses and the same lying scam artist manager insisted that they are not allowed to give me my own measurements. Of course these are mine and I have already bought glasses. I just want to order these replacements for my other sunglasses! BUT THEY ARE MORE INTERESTED IN FORCING YOU TO USE THEM TO BUY NEW GLASSES! Watch out! Fraudsters and liars! They will not support their product after the fact, either, as it turns out. I would NEVER recommend going to these clinics! Go somewhere more trustworthy and who cares about you as a long-term customer and patient. Their "manager" is a scam artist and she seems to think she is quite good at it. WATCH OUT!

    I felt the eye test went good, it was thorough, but when arranging my new prescription I felt rushed, and the prices provided seemed misleading. I received a price for just replacing the two sets of lenses which was more expensive than replacing one set of frames and two lenses. I initially placed the order but when I left and had time to think about the experience and the price I cancelled it. I won't use Optical Express Braehead in future.

    Called to book an appointment and the lady on the phone told me that I’m not due for an appointment. I insisted because i know that I need glasses. I turned up for my appointment and the shop wasn’t opened yet. Lights were still off, door still closed yet I see the sales assistants inside and they saw me outside already. I waited patiently til they opened up. Lady opened the door and said “What is it?” (How rude was that greeting first thing in the morning!!). I explained that I have an appointment. Lady then proceeded to tell me to have a sit. She checked the computer and told me I’m not due for an appointment!! She told me that they’ve tried to call me to cancel my schedule because again, I shouldn’t be there because I’m not due for an eye check up (Again?!? Must have been the same person on the phone). Moving on, I’m already there so they have to proceed to serve me. She then started checking my details if it’s still correct. Asked me what I do for a living, I haven’t even had a chance to answer and she already answered “you work in sales ins’t?”, i said yes, she proceeded to ask where, and when i said in luxury, her rude tone and attitude towards me changed dramatically. She became so friendly and told me how much she loves the brand and etc. I am so shocked with the service. I felt degraded, unwanted and felt pushed back from the phone call and customer service in store. The optometrist, nonetheless, was extremely helpful and kind and understanding on why I wanted the appointment (the only reason why i’m giving a star is for the optometrist 5/5 starts for Roisin! I did in fact was needing glasses for the first time. Sales assistant then help me look for frames. She didn’t give me space, and felt rushed to pick. I didn’t get time to think about my purchase and just felt unsatisfied. Called 2 days after if I can cancel or choose different frame. I was turned down and was told I cannot cancel since it was already sent to supplier order etc. I didn’t have a good experience getting my first time glasses. I am left with no choice but to never go back there again. Also, they never gave me my purchase receipt (i was only given card holder receipt) and also no prescription copy. I had to request for it to be sent to my address. Guarantee for the glasses weren’t explained, insurance wasn't explained.

    Wide range of frames and good service….but frames and lenses expensive. I had money credited to me after stopping my contact lens supply. But was told I had to spend it in shop as I couldn’t get a refund so had no choice but to buy my new glasses from them , so In essence I had to spend more money on expensive frames and lenses in order to use the money I had in credit, which in real terms meant in had to spend around £170 more than I had to. So probably won’t use them again solely due to being expensive.

    I was apprehensive about my cataract removals from both eyes but Was reassured that all would be fine and it was. Totally painless and how great to see clearly and also be able to drive again. The optical express staff were excellent and aftercare appears to be very good.

    The range of designer glasses was outstanding if a bit pricey. The staff here were very helpful and professional, especial Sity, who welcomed me to the shop both when I arrived for my eye exam and when I returned to collect my glasses. I liked that she took time to ensure that my new glasses fit me perfectly and that I was completely happy. It is so nice to have glasses that do not slip down my nose and that look very pretty on me.

    Fantastic service from Amy who looked after me from the minute I entered the store and Yvonne was lovely too! Thanks to Jack for offering me a water, very attentive staff. Needed a new pair of glasses for driving and ended up with 2 pairs, one of which were made into sunglasses which are great especially as I'm just about to go on holiday! Speedy, professional service and great value too. Will definitely be back and also recommend to friends and family.

    Outstanding treatment and service from all of the staff at Optical Express Braehead. I took my 85 year old father in and he was concerned that he could not see out of his left eye. They took his concern seriously, examined him thoroughly and totally reassured him. All was explained clearly and he was directed to the most economical frames in the knowledge that his prescription was going to be expensive and he even got a free pair into the bargain. Highly recommended.
