In the same design style as The Lismore and Oran Mor it has a fantastic Scottish interior of wood and bare stone. Loads of malts to try and super friendly staff. It gets busy but it’s a great pub

great whisky bar in Glasgow. great selection of whiskies. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed talking to them about different whiskies and different distilleries we could visit. A great place to visit in the afternoon or at night.

A great bar with an excellent atmosphere. The staff are super welcoming and knowledgeable. The whisky selection is fantastic. The bar is dog-friendly too - although space is limited as it's a tiny place that gets busy very quickly.

Rick Steves was right about this place! One of my favorite experiences from a 10 day trip throughout the UK. Make sure you schedule your visit to see local musicans playing folk music.

One of the best pubs I've been to. Huge whisky selection with fantastic knowledgeable staff who can help you decide which is the correct one for your mood. They have a folk band that comes and plays at the perfect volume so not to drown out conversation but produce a welcoming and energetic atmosphere. They have a log fire which creates some authentic warmth and welcoming vibes. Will definitely be returning here on my next visit to Glasgow!

Excellent choice of whiskies, great pint o’Guinness in an extremely relaxed and friendly atmosphere, lined up w/lovely decor, albeit a bit “vintage”. Highly recommended while in Glasgow!

This is a really great whisky bar, super selection of whisky's and importantly the staff were friendly and helpful too. As a whiskey bar goes the Ben Nevis is about as good as it gets in my humble opinion.

Very small gets rammed quickly. There was live music but oddly the musicians playing didn’t want anyone clapping along or listening it seems (not sure why they didn’t just practice at home). Were very obnoxious youngsters. Staff were unfriendly too and served watered down cider. Overall weird atmosphere otherwise wouldn’t be too bad a spot!

Always a delight to be at The Ben Nevis. Great ambiance when live music is around. Has awesome selection of whiskies and great recommendations if you're a little lost on choices.

Called in here after a delicious meal at El Jefe just down the road on my way back to the hotel. Recommended by the staff at El Jefe, they mentioned local and whiskey...and both were on point. An amazing selection of options for a novice, with friendly staff who were happy to guide my choices. Plus the added (significant) bonus of some live trad music. Excellent. A real mix of players all synced with each other - what a treat.

This is a cosy and authentic bar for trying some good Scottish whiskies as well as other drinks. They helped us to find what we were looking for among all the available options they had! Nice staff and atmosphere for having a cosy evening in one of the famous Glasgow neighborhood!

OMG! What an A to Z of Whisky! Incredible collection. I was drawn to the delicious Ardbeg range but they are all special in their own way. Great venue, small but cosy and ace staff. Look forward to coming back for a few extra tipples! 🍹🍺🥃

Good old fashioned pub. Wood and stone. No music bar a traditional group playing the night I was in. Good selection of beers and a great selection of whiskey/malts. Not overly priced. Worth a visit. Busy as well so plenty of life about.

A busy buzzing bar. One of the older bars of the area, that had a timely renovation just before Finnieston become super popular. The interior installation is quite a marvel, many refined details, that harks of old Glasgow artisan craftwork from a bygone era. Ageless and tasteful. Although a small and popular bar, the staff are attentive enough to make sure you get served quickly. The gantry is predominantly loaded with whisky, a real treat! The fantastic atmosphere and wonderful installation, coupled with the friendly staff and regulars makes for a quite authentic Scottish drinking experience. Well worth seeking out.

A fantastic bar. I wish I lived in a country that the college aged bartenders are encyclopedias on all things whiskey. Every suggestion was a 10/10. Great vibe and lots of energy. The bottles that you can't get elsewhere were ridiculous.

Great pub in a great area. Still very grounded compared to others nearby.

  • 5/5 Dave S. 3 years ago on Google
Staff are very friendly and didn't mind me asking to combine half pints of stout and lager together to make horrific drinks. Lots of bottles of things, nice atmosphere, great social distancing. Feels like drinking in a fishbowl. 5 stars

  • 5/5 S M. 3 years ago on Google
Revisited this bar on 28/07/20. Covid 19 social distancing measures in place now with hand sanitizer and screens between tables and one way system. Also noted only 1 person allowed in the toilet facilities with a light on the door to make people aware that there is someone in at any time. Great whisky selection but we only had a pint and a lovely pinot grigio. For a house white wine the quality was very good. The staff were pleasant, owner/manager? I think initially but then a barman took over and he was jovial and chatty, he explained that he used to do some of the live music before the lockdown. Will certainly return as the lockdown eases. Great atmosphere and decor, pleasant drinks and good bar staff, what's not to like..

Guy in the circle glasses with blonde pony tail told be that the whiskies I requested were too cheap and that he didn't serve them although I saw them behind his head . Other than that very nice bar

Nice small pub. The bar service was very poor. To much time spent with one customer choosing whiskey when bar packed. Girl even let him put his nose to bottle to smell it. Yuck. Also staff nit paying attention to who is next to be served.
