Bring back the miked up staff on roller skates, taking orders, with the Basho, on big screen, Sumo; health & safety killed it off. Everyone needs an ISP, because noodles are everywhere, should be USP,Basho is wrestling don't you know& can play Rugby now, noodles forever. The one in Partick now called Tofu, nice paint job on outside; suspect vegetarianism invoked. Can see Japanese more trusted than Chinese;but often Chinese owned.Say konichiwa,to catch them out?

Unbelievably tasty. Curry is perfectly cooked. That was our first time at this place and we definitely satisfied. Portions are big (and we can't finish it) but still you can take it with you~

First time eating here and it was a wonderful experience. Staff are very welcoming and friendly, portions are generous and the food arrives very promptly. Had a great atmosphere too. I would say, if you're looking for a restaurant to sit and relax in a comfy seat, the dining experience here is benches at long tables. Just something to keep in mind if you need a backed chair for comfort.

The food was excellent. Beautiful space. Feels very private and calm, even though you sit on long communal benches. The nicest sushi place in Glasgow I've been to so far.

Simple Japanese Asian fusion menu. Laid back atmosphere with a mixed crowd. Friendly and efficient staff with quick service. Stopped in for a quick lunch and food was out in 5 minutes! Chicken Gyoza was crunchy and the Beef Udon was good. Came to £16 with a drink and service so not bad for the location

Ichiban has always been a favourite of mines. In fact, almost every time I visit the shops in Glasgow, I end up going to Ichiban. The food is always outstanding and the atmosphere is quiet and calm. Theres not normally a wait there either. 10/10 would definitely recommend.

This is such a great place! We really enjoyed the food which was fresh, healthy and delicious! I really wanted to have a seat with a backrest and that wasn't available so I was pretty uncomfortable but I guess most people don't mind. After a whole day of discovering Glasgow my back needed to relax so we didn't stay long. I highly recommend the plum wine cocktail (ume shu) and ramen soup. They were the best! There are many options and we enjoyed the food a lot. Nice atmosphere too. I would come back next time. The prices are so that you're still happy when leaving. 🙃🍜🍛🍱

A Japanese restaurant in the Queen's Street in Glasgow. Reasonable choices of food to choose from. Limited drinks menu. Quality of food is fine. Quantity is also good. Food tastes fine. Service is okay. Reasonably priced. Overall nice Japanese option.

It's easy to walk past this fantastic restaurant because although the entrance is on ground level, it is not immediately obvious - the service is upstairs, with some diners looking down at passers by on the busy street as they eat their delicious sushi. Ive been here a few times recently and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys good Japanese food. Only a few minutes walk from Queen Street train station. My favourite is the Bento box as it offers a nice array of food types all in the one meal.

It’s a very nice place, the food is great, service is kind and good price/quality! I tried the kind prawn Yakisoba noodles and loved it! Totally recommend it! Quickly served and delicious! Will try again for sure

My favourite place for Japanese food in town. Always fast and consistent, and the vegetarian options are great.

Spacious, delicious, and very clean! Staff members are friendly and polite, the food is very evidently fresh and good quality, great variety of healthy options as well as deep fried stuff.. Great choice of drinks. The sushi was a little bit dry and fell apart a tad, but overall good food

So much food! So tasty! Can't go wrong with the food. Good selection. Lovely staff. It was a bit chilly though when the front door opens, but maybe it depends on where you sit.

Tucked away on Queen Street in Glasgow on the 2nd floor of the building, inside resembles a sleek and stylish interior with the traditional benched seating as you see in Wagamama. Service was warm and friendly throughout and staff very attentive. The place is good value for money where you can get a good meal with a drink for under £15. The food tasted amazing - very fresh and appetising with plenty of meet in the Yakiudon I ordered. I would recommend this place if you are going to Glasgow.

Went to this amazing restaurant today Friday the 21 Aug 20 arrived just before 1 wasn’t many people in . Order our food there was 4 of us and beer. The food and the beer were quality absolutely so tasty and complimented with lovely staff thank you so much from 4 very grateful construction workers.

Easily the best noodle bar in Glasgow. Prices may look high, but the portions are large and filling, sides and extras are well priced for what you get too. The staff are wonderfully friendly and very accomodating for picky eaters. Never once been disappointed, great place to bring friends too with bench style seating and a quiet atmosphere. Try the Chicken Yakiudon! (Review based on experience in March 2020)

Amazing. I got the yakisoba and honestly wish I had a photo to show as it looks great and tasted better. I got the tofu one with the intention of picking out the tofu and just eating the veg. I rarely eat meat and just fancied veg tonight. I have NEVER liked tofu and I have an it multiple times cooked different ways. I decied to try the tofu before "avoiding" it the entire meal and omg it was amazing. Best meal I've had in ages. 10/10

Nice atmosphere with great food. The table layout is spacious, nice open kitchen, staffs are friendly. The menu covers a good variety of food and reasonably priced. The ichiban yaki udon is very delicious, nice portion as well. The food is served fairly quickly. Been here couple times already and will come back to try something else!

Excellent food and delivered incredibly fast, while also not feeling like you are being rushed. The atmosphere is relaxed and the perfect volume, the seating felt comfortable and something that works great as couples or groups. The staff were fantastic and always on hand, as well as being very knowledgeable about the menu. Thank you.

We popped in on a Sunday just out of curiosity and got some lunch. With both loved the soup noodle bowls, very tasty and comforting. The side order of Gyozas were a good idea too! The staff are nice and the place was very cosy and comfortable :)

Used to always head to Ichiba when in Glasgow but sorry I went back. My Chicken Rsmen Soup was really bland and the Salmon starter over cooked. However, my sis really enjoyed her gyuniku maki (beef rolls stuffed with mushroom). The service in Ichiban as alaways was great, with really attentive serving staff. However, on the whole I think there are much better restaurants in the town for a quick bite.

Easy to book for lunch Sadly no disabled access that I could see; and the restaurant is on the first floor. The food is ££ in price range but the food is expertly delicious and filling, Service is lovely and the servers greeted and checked on us and were very pleasant. Easy to find on Google maps. Pleasant atmosphere with music. The food was swift to be delivered also.

The curry has strong curry powder taste that doesn't seem to blend very well. The rice is not Japanese rice standard The aged assistant tofu tasted good but didn't come with grated daikon nor katsuobushi (bonito flakes).

  • 5/5 Daniel K. 1 year ago on Google
We had the chicken yakisoba and katsu-don and both were amazing! I highly recommend! The only thing to consider is that the seats are benches without backs (if that is a problem for you).

It's My first time to have japanese food from a proper japanese restaurant and i am so impressed. The decor is minimal with long dining hall syle tables. The kitchen is open which i like. As for the food.... The flavours were amazing. Spicy, not spicy, sushi, noodles, rice, all the gang is here. My favourite was the tempura prawns. HUGE. The staff were a bit awkward but that was down to the language barrier. I take responsibility for that. I will have to learn how to order. 😉 The variety of interesting food on offer is wide with a good drinks selection too. Wine, beer and Saki included. I have a new favourite food i think.

Scammed out of our money!!!! Do not order through justeat as they are clearly operating some type of scam. We turned up for collection and they said they were closed for the chefs lunch and no one was there to make our food. They took our money though and pretended the order had been collected so we're struggling to get our money back. SCAM!!!!!!!

The food here was SO GOOD! Has definitely easily become my favourite restaurant for Japanese food. Has a good selection of food and every single dish was flavoursome and tasty. The atmosphere was nice and easy going and the servers were very down to earth and easy to talk to. The decor in the place is nice and warm too.

This is my favourite restaurant in Glasgow! I've been coming here for at least 10yrs and its always brilliant. Food is always excellent, good for a quick bite. Decent amount of food for the price (though drinks can be a bit expensive) staff always lovely. A wee gem!

  • 5/5 Vampira M. 4 years ago on Google
Food is great, lots of veggie options and the portions and the bowls are MASSIVE. It's roughly about £8 for a bowl of noodles with vegetables or meat or whatever, but they give you loads for your money. It could honestly feed like three people. Staff are helpful and nice atmosphere as well. Great value for money.

I have been going to Ichiban for years, but my most recent visit wasn't great. The food was very bland and not satisfactory when there are so many restaurants in the city doing similar, but better.

Always a good solid meal in ichiban

  • 4/5 Michael D. 5 years ago on Google
It's a very casual and relaxed atmosphere here and the food is good. The menu seems good and varied. There are definitely vegetarian options, but not entirely sure how many of them also are vegan. Service is fast - at least today it didn't take many minutes from ordering to the food arrived, and was very enjoyable. Unfortunately they do not seem to have a kids menu or any entertainment for the bairns. That's a shame.
