The atmosphere of this place is not unlike an empty shipping container lying at the bottom of the ocean after a shipwreck. Floors feel like they’ve been varnished with gorilla glue was nearly pulling a cinderella and leaving one behind. Staff are extremely rude and pompous. Talking about customers really loudly and rudely and just being nasty. there was one slightly entertaining moment when a fight broke out in the middle of the bar. It’s definitely a place to go if you like dingy dive bars with nice big gashes in the interior and a free swimming pool on the bathroom floor.

Had booked a table and it was easy to find when inside and good atmosphere but definitely need to improve bar system. We were in over half an hour before even being served. At one point only one woman on bar making multiple cocktails by herself. We had other places booked after here so basically had to down our drinks and leave. Definitely need more people serving/making drinks on the bar especially for a Saturday night

Food and drinks were really nice! Cheap place to hang out during the week. Staff members are brilliant, (Jen) was lovely and very welcoming, Will most definitely be back here with a few friends on a regular occasion. Thanks 👌

We were a group of 5, I’m a male and I was the only one refused entry because I was wearing shorts and had a cap on, but one of the girls in our group was also wearing shorts but apparently there’s a double standard when it comes to gender. Next time I’ll turn up wearing a nice dress, wig and makeup and I’m positive I’ll be granted entry…..

Worst customer service ever!! The bartenders were very rude to me, They wouldn’t accept my legal ID, called my friends ID fake (which it wasn’t) and proceeded to be berating and rude to us and refused service because I was a foreigner and when we said we were leaving because of how rude they were, they shouted at us as we were leaving. They also swore at us and made rude hand gestures towards us. Never going back and don’t recommend anyone else going.

Great cocktails good atmosphere. Service is pretty slow and the staff all seem quite new to the job. A few of them have been rude to me and I've been given the wrong cocktails on a few occasions. The more you drink the less you care. Still a good place for a few drinks

Honestly the worst service and staff ive came across!!!! Arrived with a party of 8....place wasnt that busy, ordered 8 cocktails and 8 shots, shots came after 25 min wait which we paid straight away (by card) then another 25 min wait for cocktails and when i got the bill they charged again for shots....wen i said bout double charged the woman behind bar had said 'well its still on tab' a said it may well be bt i have receipt fir the shots so got an attitude back regarding this......the cocktails were horrible and the attitiude of the staff was awful........their customer service skills aswell as their drinks were disgusting!!! wouldnt ever go back.

Updated review, terrible cocktails, rude staff and slow service. When we went before Chrismas we were greeted by attentive friendly bar staff, amazing quick drinks and 5 star service. Was in this week and it's all changed, completely new staff and vibe. Seems like a place a lot of neds go to, smells of trouble, the bar staff are rude cheeky not fit for the service industry. Drinks were not made to spec not to mention the menu doesnt even list the right ingredients for classic cocktails. You will be told the dont serve food despite promoting it also. It's not the classy place it was a few months ago, disappointed and wont be wasting my money here again. Old Review 10/10 Was in Cova over the weekend and had an amazing time! I go regularly, the bar staff are a great team and always make us feel so welcome. Highly recommend for amazing cocktails, great service and smashing tunes! It's a shame the staff are worked so hard and get no reward.

Would highly recommend this place, new favourite place to go. Girls behind the bar are lovely, cocktails are amazing. Will come back again.

Had a great time here on Friday, largely due to the incredible service by the bartender Carla. Incredibly quick service and recommended us some great cocktails that tasted amazing. Will be coming back again, hope to see her!

Myself and a couple of friends queue’d for over an hour last night to be turned away at the door with 0 explanation as to why we were being turned away. Please avoid as we then went to the Savoy & got in with no problems .. eventually enjoyed our night out! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Jennifer was exceptional with her customer and made sure we had the best night and was a great atmosphere all round and merl (I think she was called) was also very welcoming. Table for us straight away.

First time at cova was a great experience took in me and my friends as a walk in 15 on a Saturday night at their prime time. Always go above and beyond for their customers. Especially ellie who played a birthday song for my friends birthday and Jennifer the manager is so bubbly and friendly.

Was there last night for the 3rd time and the girl with the clipboard making sure we had a booking needs to learn how to smile, she was crabit the whole night and never smiled once. She didn't believe we had a booking for 4 either. The drinks were good but the atmosphere wasn't good and the music was worse. Also noticed the security didn't start till 8pm and no one was ID before 8pm which was weird. Might come back but the staff need better attitudes.

New opened, great atmosphere and competitively priced especially on weekdays. Busy Friday Saturday but if you are looking for more weekend bar staff im in the market for a job ;)

On the cheaper end and very spacious. However, the massive collection of spirits behind the bar seems purely decorative as the staff cannot make an old fashioned & there is only one beer on tap. Seems great for getting hammered though : )

Went through to cova for my birthday 🥳 🎉 for the first time in March drinks were amazing and cheap got smashed out of ma noodle for my birthday definitely recommend to friends and definitely be back as regular as possible 🥂

Best bar in glasgow by a mile! Bar staff are always so nice to me and manager jen is a darling, so cheap and gd vibes all round!

Great bar, really friendly staff, come weekly with big grounds always very facilitating and best midweek drink prices in town!

My new go to place! Drinks are cheap as anything and taste so good. Addicted to the Smirnoff ice fishbowl it’s so good and not heavy watered down! Staff don’t mind swapping ingredients about either for cocktails which is a big thing for me. Good music good staff, great place highly recommend 👏
