Just attended my sons graduation. Was such a joy to see so many attending and so many graduating. This university is one of the best in Scotland and was established in 1451. It has had many scholars through its doors. The ceremony was well organised well run. Staff were very helpful and friendly covid aware and rules and regulations enforced. Facilities were OK well signed. This university is steeped in history and tradition and tradition was honoured and the graduates made history. There own. Marvellous experience for all never to be forgotten

Overall, a highly unpleasant experience. In first year my blasé so-called Adviser of Studies gave me some very poor "advice" on course choices which had very detrimental consequences for my degree. I ended up forced, as a STEM student, to study a large number of humanity and language courses - History of Art, History of Europe, English Language, Portuguese, History of Celts, Classics - which I was not qualified for, completely irrelevant to my degree, and worthless in the job market. Perversely, their deeply flawed enrolement system prevented me from enrolling on any of their mathematics courses, despite the fact that I was SQA qualified in mathematics up to 2nd year university level. I then found myself locked into taking my science subject at honors level, and unable to switch to a different science. And they talk about a "flexible degree"? Their attitude to disabilities is, as far as I can tell, discriminatory. There was no support available. My grades were penalized multiple times due to severe depression, despite having substantiated medical evidence. They stated to me that this was "not enough of a reason" for being 4 days late with an essay. What they stated was A or B grade work, they ultimately downgraded to D's or fails for being a few days late - among my A, B, and C grade passes, I ended up with D grades and C/R's on my academic record as a result. Their attitude to physical or mental health issues is basically "tough" and why should they take that into account or make any small allowances for you. They said as much to me. I had to battle them to give me a qualification for the 300+ credits I gained - I spent 3 years there and, based on a minor technicality, they eventually awarded me something I could have achieved in 1 year. In many cases, their lectures consist of someone reading verbatim off of power point slides - not what I would call "world class". In lab classes, you can be generally left to your own devices with minimal help - the 4th year assistants haven't a clue, which says a lot about the teaching. It's a nice campus, I met some really nice people and I have a couple of good memories. But it is pretty lonely and impersonal, with too many snooty, sarcastic and, in one case, nasty academics who appear to live in their own little pedantic bubble. Demoralizing and disappointing.

Studying at Glasgow University was a memorable experience for me, even though I missed the chance to wear a gown and toss a cap due to the pandemic situation. I mean, I did get my degree via the post office, and it hasn’t served me much maybe that was sign 😅. Glasgow University is not only beautiful, but also friendly. I have travelled a lot in Europe and the world, and I can say that Glasgow is on my top 10 friendliest and nicest cities to live in. The university has some modern facilities, but I was more drawn to the old buildings that have a lot of history and charm. The university also has a great vibe for learning and growing. However, I wish that universities, not just this one, would do more to help students who are new to the country or the campus feel less lonely (unless they prefer solitude). It can be hard for some students, especially introverts, to make friends and adjust to a new environment. But don’t worry, it gets easier with time… I just wish universities could speed up this process. Now, If you are thinking of studying there, I have three pieces of advice for you: 1. Start working on your assignments early, don’t procrastinate because the library gets crowded on the deadline week. 2. Visit the student services if you need any support with your studies or anything else, don’t be shy, they are there to help you. 3. Do your best, but don’t stress over grades… in the real world, most people don’t care about them anyway. Find your balance in life, my friend, and above all, good luck. You can do it!

University of Glasgow is one of the popular and most favourite universities of Scotland. It has near about 60-70 buildings. The area of this university is huge, if you visit here for first time, you feel like you have been in a different city 😁 It’s that much big. It’s nice to be here.

Overpriced and undervalued education for students who attend. Some staff are jobs worth's who value their self development more than their students, and crawl their way up the ladder for promotion. Students are paying for a brand with this university, not high quality learning.

The campus is truly stunning, and it's a great way to get a sense of the city's rich history and culture. The main building, the Gilbert Scott Building, is a must-see with its impressive architecture and beautiful cloisters. The university also has a number of museums and art galleries that are open to the public, including the Hunterian Museum and Art Gallery which features a diverse collection of artifacts and artworks. You could easily spend half a day around the university and the surrounding area which has some great cafes and bars.

The University of Glasgow holds a special appeal for both Harry Potter fans and science enthusiasts. For Harry Potter fans, the University's Cloisters bear a striking resemblance to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The Gothic architecture and atmospheric corridors evoke a sense of magic, making it a must-visit location for Potterheads. Additionally, it's worth noting that J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, studied at the University of Glasgow, adding an extra layer of significance for fans. For science enthusiasts, the University of Glasgow has a rich scientific heritage. It's known for its pioneering research and contributions to various fields, including physics, medicine, and engineering. The university is home to notable scientists like Lord Kelvin and Joseph Lister, whose groundbreaking work has had a significant impact on the world of science. Visiting the University of Glasgow offers a unique blend of magical charm and scientific legacy, making it a compelling attraction for both Harry Potter aficionados and those passionate about the pursuit of knowledge and innovation.

As a tourist, University of Glasgow is a mediaeval treat to the eyes. The place looks absolutely majestic, and the buildings look straight out of a 1500s royal historic place. There is a place to relax on the grass, and one could visit this place after a hike and stroll from the Arthur's seat. If you follow the water trail, you can also find yourself walking/running/jogging alongside the river.

Take a couple of hours to visit this campus. A great walk in a vibrant part of Glasgow, with a park and a river running through it, the iconic central building and numerous places to relax. It is well connected to the city center by bus.

Great place to study. A huge campus having all the facilities needed for the students and good staffs having responsible and prompt behavior. Good restaurants allowing easy access during lunch time and snacks during evening. Great commute facilities which allow great access to the city centre and to the place of accommodation. This is one of the best universities in the world.

A few professionals were very unhelpful and mean to students and the school didn’t care what concerns students instead they tried to cover up for the unreasonable things. Some old leader did threaten students out of discriminations, such a shame for a school charged a lot of money from students but failed to protect students interest.

These spots look like some Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from Harry Potter. University of Glasgow is so hidden that you need to explore. There's much to see. Everything in the university is like an attraction. I studied in the university. This particular spot became my favorite ever since. Get out at night, the darker the better.

The University of Glasgow is a university of highest standards. Apart from it's magnificent architecture and captivating beauty, it is known for par excellent teaching, amazing tutors and great feedback that contributes to an overall wonderful learning experience. It makes the student life much better. The University of Glasgow is well reputed for its sense of justice and good-will when it comes to supporting the personal as well as professional lives of its students. I have had the opportunity to meet some great people in my PhD lab. My professor/PhD supervisor is not only unfailingly kind but also an epitome of knowledge and experience. He has so many research experiences to offer that I cannot even begin to explain. All I know is I will never be able to learn all of it. There's so much to learn from such amazing people. In spite of the global pandemic our University has managed to take everything into account and has handled it amazingly well. I can recommend our wonderful University to anyone who's looking forward to carve a niche in their subject of study. Do consider applying for a much better future. I am particularly proud of my decision of having applied for a PhD program in one of the finest labs in the UK and world. I feel like I am growing every day as a person and I look forward to uncovering a better version of me in the long run. "Via, Veritas, Vita." Our University is the way, the truth and the life.

I am proud to say that I studied at this University. It is really & truly a beautiful building. I didn’t realise what a beautiful place it was until I submitted my final essay, but due to covid my class of 2020 we were unable to have a proper graduation. The library has so many spots for laptops and with computers including a lot of quiet study places. It has most books (hard copies) and online version. I’ve spent 4 years there and I have never eaten in the canteen so I can’t say anything about the food there... There’s lots of help available to you, but you have to look for it. However, the easiest way is to go to the student services (make your life easier & find that department asap). There’s a saying in Glasgow “it is nice to be nice” or the most important one is “people make Glasgow.” I say that to say, do not hesitate to ask for help in Glasgow or Scotland if you need help.
