Midlock Medical Centre

Doctor Medical center

😠 Reception staff are shocking. I asked to see a doctor about an ongoing issue and to get a blood test. I was specific and clear yet the attitute of the woman was she would decide what I needed. The blood test never worked and I wasnt booked to see a doctor! Inefficient and unprofessional. People often mention staff, helpful, doctor, reception, doctors, rude, surgery, good, receptionists, Doctors,

doctors are good, special thanks to Dr Kevin and Dr O'neil, however, the receptionist staff could be more useful. My partner has been waiting 3 months and a half for a report and they always say that it is not ready yet, it is understandable it takes time to do it, honestly 3 months it is unbelievable, the staff could be more organised and make themselves useful and show some empathy to people that go there in need of care, and instead we get angry faces and barely a good morning !

Some doctors are unqualified and should be ashamed of calling themselfes doctors. I have a condition that was diagnosed in another country and when I came asking for help saying I have pains in my organs they said 'I am too young to have issues like that' and advices to take iron. Their receptionists often times have serious anger issues and will speak to you rudely for no good reason or possibly their own errors. Avoid.

Takes ages to get seen had got there early for appointment 1 and half hrs later was finally seen took my daughter for an appointment she was very unwell we were 20 mins early 4 hrs later we were seen. Reception is disappointing they are rude angry and don’t care. I would not recommend this doctors surgery at all. THIS SURGERY IS AWFUL

I registered midlock medical centre since 2005. All the GP are very helpful and supportive. I am thankful with all of them but some of the reception staff are very rude. They are not trying to listen the patient's problems.

Love doctor hay ; she is the best doctor ever .... And doctor O'Neill and doctor kidd are fantastic doctors too ... if you are going to apply as a patient for this clinic these above doctors are the best of the best and better than the rest But I do have to be honest; the receptionist can be extremely rude at times and very unhelpful

decent enough surgery, although some of the receptionists manners leave a lot to be desired ! ive seen three Drs here and were all nice enough we all have different personalities so its obvious you will like some better than others and some have a better attitude dont let one cheeky receptionist put you off!all the others are polite and doing a decent job or one Dr who comes across as smug when others are polite and helpful all in all its a good surgery and remember when you get a service whether it from a shop or a Drs surgery, you treat people the way you want to be treated.

Excellent friendly, helpful staff from receptionists through to gp's. Main dealings over years have been with Dr Hay and Dr O'Neill, both of which I rate very highly. I find staff keen to be helpful, friendly and approachable either on phone or in person.

Been with this practice for over 5 years and having some chronic conditions I have relied on them a number of times. Reception staff have always been warm, friendly and helpful. I haven’t had cause to deal with the Practice Nurses but the HCA is great and particularly excellent at phlebotomy. I’ve seen a number of the GP’s here over the years and every one has been great. Highly professional, compassionate, caring and supportive. They listen and despite the time pressures on primary care they never rush you. They’ve done a fantastic job coping through the pandemic. It’s also great to see how they involve students on placements there. A brilliant surgery I would recommend for anyone in the catchment area.

Terrible reception. Rude, condescending, stubborn and not helpful. Not only here. NHS reception are always like that. Doctors are helpful but most of them will give you very standard examination.

Dr Maeve Gilsenan is a pain in the backside, she’s so mean, arrogant, disrespectful, inconsiderate and has such a rude attitude. No matter how much one tries to avoid her as she has NO damn manners on how to communicate properly with patients, even then the unkind and unhelpful receptionists book you in for a consultation with her wasting your time when she’s good for nothing! I wonder who appointed her as the Gp, she should be kicked out of this surgery and should first go and get basic training on how to effectively communicate with patients.
