Recently joined, this is a lovely, spacious and clean gym. Lockers and changing rooms are great. Can be sometimes be tricky to get machines or equipment due to being busy so I signed up to classes. However, recently I signed up to a morning class and arrived no trainer turned up, this was really disappointing at 6.30am. No further information was communicated. Myself some other members were left to carry out a session independently. Would appreciate some form of communication in future if a class needs to be cancelled.

In terms of space and equipment this club leaves a lot to be desired as its equipment is in a poor state and is constantly breaking down. There are multiple lockers which have had their doors removed from their hinges. Now the disabled toilet does not work and there has been no attempt to call the plumber to fix it several days after it broke. This illustrates this so-called club's low regard for people with disabilities. Despite the group's shiny new logo and fresh layer of paint, it is clear this club is suffering from mismanagement and a lack of investment. The personal trainers have a habit of congregating around the desk area near the vending machines where they spend the bulk of their time gossiping about the body shapes and clothes of clients. The manager denies this but rarely ventures out of his office and has shown high levels of favouritism in the past. Any disabled person brave enough to attend one of their classes is bullied and belittled. I was personally spoke to in a very patronising way by at least two of the trainers, who made it their mission to single me out and humiliate me at every opportunity. I would refrain from going into the office and raising a complaint for the manager has quite the temper, is clearly under an immense amount of pressure and such stresses tellingly show on both his face and body language. He has shown on numerous occasions in his communications a propensity to greatly overreact. I was recently shouted at and told never to return. My great offence was that I offered a simple complaint. Various clients have approached me and told me the manager has been speaking ill of me behind my back. There are even comments below suggesting he can be quite a violent individual. I can personally believe this after the way in which he spoke to me. I would strongly advise the "members" to switch "clubs" for a short period until this facility detoxifies by removing some of its more unsavoury personnel. This includes the team of personal trainers and the manager, who needs to be reminded that the Gym Group is a public enterprise that should be encouraging a diverse and inclusive atmosphere, not some exclusive gang hut for the manager and his cronies.

The gym is always really clean and lively. The staff are so friendly and helpful, in particular Molly who I do PT sessions with. She is so kind and has really helped me build my confidence in going to the gym, and always brings positivity!

Great gym with lots of knowledgable and experienced staff who are always on hand to give advice. I love the weights of women class and the gym has a positive and supportive community for women. I started PT with Molly after going to one of her classes and I have the best time ever. Molly gives me her all every session and continuously pushes me to meet my goals.

Having trained at this gym for over a year I have seen the fantastic continuous progress that the management and staff strive for within the club. Always a happy face and warm welcome as you walk in the door. I’ve come to be very good friends with all the staff and countless members which only adds to the close knit community that the club is trying to build upon. Cleanliness and maintenance clearly a high priority to staff. I’ve had help and support from all members of staff and management but most notably Jonah who brings a happy go lucky energy while also pushing everyone around him to their limits physically and wanting the best out of them.

Really badly organised and worst in the area. Worst equipment selection and less space than on JD or PureGym. Even living just 2 mins walk away, I decided to take a ride somewhere else. Constantly overcrowded, even off peak time. Quite often closed for “refreshments” that doesn’t change anything. There’s an issue with piping or roof, and some areas/equipment are covered in water during opening hours. Lots of cardio equipment don’t work or under constant maintenance. Some machines are placed on the first floor, some on the bottom, instead of having dedicated place for bodybuilding and cardio. Lots of far too ambitious “powerlifters” throwing equipment all around the place. I don’t expect much from the powerlifters, but even with big DON’T DROP THEM written on the wall, they seem to don’t understand. Staff doesn’t care either. Selection of classes and app are much nicer than competitors, but general experience is way, way worst.

The gym is a great 24/7 experience, I have been getting personal training from Adam (NoPalavaFitness) he’s is a very friendly coach while also maintaining that accountability to make sure that your are progressing overall, I cannot recommend NPF enough.

Shout-out to my PT Jonah Hay who I've had some excellent sessions with - tailoring workouts to my goals, gives great advice on how to improve our sessions and pushing me to my limit whilst having a laugh. Couldn't recommend him enough! I've recently joined The Gym Anniesland and it has great facilities and plenty of space to workout, quite handy the app tells you popular gym times for the week and the current capacity.

The gym is in a great location for me. It is all the equipment I need for my work outs. My PT Hannah (HCR Coaching) is great, she is very knowledgeable and motivating and makes feel comfortable and confident using the equipment. She also helps me create new goals and supports me to reach them each them. Highly recommend 😊

This gym is really great. Amazing community and personal trainers. I have been doing personal training with Gavin for a little over a year now, and I cannot complement this man enough. He is like family at this point. He will believe in you even when you can't believe in yourself. He always want to push me to be the best version of myself, but he knows when I can't go further and respects that. (photos are just from January this year to March this year, I've had even more progress in total)

Great location and affordable gym. My experience has been made even better by my PT Hannah (HCR coaching) who is an absolute machine. She is motivational and personable and gets you on with achieving your goals without it being too daunting. She has helped me to maintain consistency with attending the gym as well as improving lifestyle outside the gym.

From never having stepped foot in a gym before 2022 to where I am now both mentally and physically I have the gym group at Anniesland to thank for that. All of the staff at the gym are friendly and approachable. The gym is always spotless too. I have been really lucky to have Gavin as my PT the last few months (Arbitrium Fitness) in which he has allowed me to learn more about the exercises I am doing and the muscle groups they are working. Would recommend Gavin if you are joining this gym. If you would prefer classes all of the trainers are fantastic but Cam (the assistant manager) is great and made each class I attended fun. He was also very knowledgeable. Nothing is ever too much of a bother if you have questions or if you need someone to show you how to do an exercise! Highly recommend this gym

I was using a 3 day pass to access this gym, my code stopped working when I tried to leave, where I stood 10 mins Tring leave, trying to find a staff member to help, no one was there to help at all, and I was stuck until a kind stranger helped, horrible service, don't waste your time and money, PureGym is better anyways, at least they have staff to help. It was at 9 pm. Disgraceful.

Always a welcoming atmosphere at this gym. Staff are friendly and approachable. Equipment and environment are clean and tidy. Molly runs a very popular “Weights for Women” class which she makes so much fun with her bubbly personality and knowledge of what her class needs.

I really like this gym. The machines and facilities are great, the staff are helpful and it's well used by a wide range of local people. It can get busy at peak times but that's expected. It's just a great affordable addition to this area.

It's a great gym and great range of equipment, being 24hrs too is also fantastic as I work during the day and end up going 11/12 at night and it's nice and quiet

Great gym that's affordable (especially for students) and has a nice selection of equipment with friendly staff on hand. Access to person trainers, free classes and being open for 24 hours is nice aswell. Only thing I'd say is to add more cleaning stations.

A good gym. Have all the equipments you need. A no nonsense gym would be how I'd describe it. Close to Morrison's so you could do your grocery right after

Great value Gym but you get what you pay for - a lot of Jakes who do not use a padlock on the lockers. Would be great if the Gym actually addressed that.

Lovely gym, pleasure to work out here. The staff are friendly and helpful, decent crowd and equipment options are varied. Very centrally located in Anniesland so makes it easier to travel.

Bit smaller than some of the other TheGym's around Glasgow but has most of the usual equipment you'd expect. Very new and clean (at the moment).

Really appreciate the 24 hours a day opening hours. Gym is spread over two floors with plenty of equipment and weights to enjoy. There are changing rooms and plenty of lockers to leave your belongings while you workout. Lots of free carparking outside main entrance.

😠 I have had the worst treatment by the staff here. I came with my two year old daughter and wanted to use the little shallow pool. 😠 I started using this gym as it is the only Ladies only gym I could find. Whilst I was working out on Monday 26th September at around 20:45, a man walked in not once but twice to grab some weights, as if there weren’t enough in the bigger hall. There should be stricter measures to ensure that the lad...
