Took my 8 month old baby girl here and she loved looking at the big fish and the little black monkeys at the beginning of the exhibit. They were fantastic! Its great to walk around and get a feel for a rainforest but it gets very warm which is to be expected since that's needed to maintain the plants and the enclosures. So dress down for going around. I did find it a little disappointing you go round once and out...and as its one way you can't go back and see exhibits you enjoyed. Not sure if that is just Covid guidelines just now though. Anyway definitely would return when animal handling is back on. Great for families and can go enjoy other areas of M&Ds after so can enjoy a full day out.

Great day out for the kids, takes around 30 minutes to walk round. There is interactive bits, for a hands on experience. You can also take part in the handling sessions, these are great and only £1.50 per person! Lots of reptiles/birds. Staff were nice, talking to kid. Little gift shop at the end - reasonably priced.

Great place to visit with or without kids! Butterflies and birds flying freely inside the place. Selection of various animals found within the amazon rainforests, including marmoset and goldie monkeys, armadillos, various reptiles and amphibians, koi carp and parrots, to name but a few. Animal handling sessions available and very reasonably priced at £1.50 a session. My only concern was that some of the enclosures were a bit on the small side, otherwise, a great little place to visit.

Smaller than I thought it would be but still fun and educational place for going out with kids. Inexpensive too. We were waiting with anticipation for feeding time only to see a member of staff walking into cage, throwing some food into bowl and left. 15 seconds total. Hands-on session on the other hand is worth paying extra few quids but would be much more satisfying if not overcrowded. Overall still worth to go.

Great place to bring the kids for a visit. Not the largest of places but good variety of animals. All look in great condition and birds in full plumage. Easy to see the animals and week laid out. Lots of little creepy Crawley's to freak the kids out with. With the entrance fee. Nice little shop at the end as well

Limited amount to see but we enjoyed what we saw. Nocturnal section was almost impossible to see anything. Handling experience was worth the extra money but it is a bit of a wait for your turn with each animal. Obviously hit or miss what animals you see moving. Staff very friendly and shop reasonably priced.

Amazing place but before going make sure your child is aware of looking at scary snakes and spiders

It’s nice for a wee trip. It’s very small and we were round with our 6 and 2 year old in around 20 mins. Would probably be longer if the interactive side of it was open. Some lovely animals and insects to look at. But wouldn’t plan on coming here for a full morning or afternoon. I thought it was expensive for what it was. Calderglen nearby is way way cheaper and takes longer to go round.

Had a great wee afternoon here. You can buy food to feed the animals that live in the pond. We also opted for the handling session to hold a Tarantula, snake & geko. After this we went to the bat info session. Staff very pleasant, informative & knowledgeable on all the animals. You can pop in & out with a stamp on the hand and on the way out there is a gift shop surprisingly well priced.

Popular place, lots to see and do and the extra £1.25 for the handling session is worth it.

Tbh i thought there was more to be seen. The place is small and not long to go round. Even with my toddler. The animals, however, do look well cared for and staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Handling session was quick. It isn't overally expensive. Love Eric, mascot to the RAF, the ants and bats.

Had a great time here today, the handler which I can't remember their name was amazing and really knew their stuff about all the animals, not just the ones out for holding but every single one, really knowledgeable for 19 years of age and an absolute credit to the park, the handler was more than happy to tell us about everything we wanted to know and more, far beyond it, we learned so much in a fun and interactive way, thank you for such a great time!!

Very good for the price but you can do this in 30 minutes.

Quite small but still good for kids, you can get up really close to the animals, even the creepy crawlies!!! It's all indoors, so it's a good option on the wettest days!

Staff were helpful and friendly on the tour. I did feel that the tour could have been modified to fit the attention span of the younger audience as there was a lot of talking for the small age of the children on the tour. The animals were interesting to see and the environment was nice. Could easily spend an hour here.

Small place but lovely. When you walk in, butterflies are just flying around the place and there's many animals to see. There's also an option to feed the catfish. Would definitely recommend going here, it's very nice.

Brilliant, took my 3yr old nephew and he loved it. Place is small but definitely worth a visit, really interesting and the petting area was fantastic. The wee guy got to pet a snake, tortoise and a snail :)

Overall it was overpriced. I was shocked to have to pay another £25 for 2 adults and 2 kids over and above entrance fees to go into amazonia. So be aware there are several experiences you have to pay extra. I don't think it is worth what they charge.

Went on Sunday afternoon with an 18 month old and 7 year old. Both enjoyed it. There are fish that you can feed. Monkeys and an area for nocturnal animals. It is very small and pricing is a bit steep for what it is. We spent about an hour in there but it wasn't busy so we went round a few times. Lots of the displays aren't at a child friendly height even for an average sized 7 year old.

Its a great little place for educational purposes. I remember doing the animal handling years ago but sadly due to social distancing this isn't a thing temporarily. They give opportunity for learning but subtly and its not forced. Like during social distancing times, its in the form of a quiz based upon what information is given on the animal enclosures. Prices aren't too expensive either. The amusements nearby also provide some nice family entertainment. Shame the M&Ds rides such as Rollercoaster etc are having to remain closed also. It's hard times for all but still good for a little visit. It is a little small so if the children aren't interested in the learning elements of it then it can be done a little quickly. Nice little gift shop too though it seems to be low on stock too.

Lovely place, different than your usual day out. Great value for money. My wee boy moved getting to handle the different animals. Staff very friendly and informative too.

Took my 27 month old grandson and he really loved it. Went on a school day and we had the whole place to ourselves. Very well priced also.

Not worth the money to be honest. The most you can stay inside is 20, 25 minutes as the temperature is controlled and very warm and humid inside. Difficult spotting some of the creatures. Would not recommend going in on this price.

Place seemed a bit run down. Staff were very friendly and some great creatures. Unfortunately due to Covid the handling element is not possible. Gift shop could be better.
