Absolutely brilliant! Great fun, helpful and enthusiastic staff, the best £6 we’ve spent during our holiday in Glasgow. The games are great but it was the people working there that made it such a lovely experience for both adults and kids. Thank you for a wonderful hour.

What a great, chilled out place to hang out, for old and young! My friend's 18 year old was visiting me (52) for the weekend and I was trying to find something we could both enjoy together. We found it! It brought back brilliant memories for me and the teenager loved trying out all the "new" simple games. We could even take a couple of ciders in there. Bonus! The only negative was that the session was way too short.

I came through to Glasgow for a weekend and thought I'd relive some of my childhood gaming memories. We had a great time at R-CADE; the staff were really helpful and everything I could have wanted to play was available. My wife and I wanted to play some co-ops and the folks went to every effort to suggest some and find anything we asked for. Definitely plan to be back.

Loved it. My Son & Grandson went one week then immediately booked for the next week, only this time they included me. They then spent the next 7 days waxing lyrical on the excitement I had in store for me. They were totally right. It was amazing. Not only that, the staff couldn't have been better. Polite, accommodating and very very knowledgeable.

Lovely and helpful staff, a crazy amount of games both electronic and board. My son and his friend loved the arcade and were made to feel very welcome. Assistance was provided when needed in a way that gave my shy son confidence to interact. Overall a really great experience, keep up the excellent work.

A great place. Our 12 year old loved it. He played every version of Mario whilst I checked out the board games over a cup of tea. The staff were very friendly. Would recommend booking in advance via their website. We will be back.

Visited with myself and my son (10). Arriving we were greeted by attentive and friendly staff who explained the experience. We were booked in at the next available hourly slot, I was very impressed by their parental controls. I felt as though the venue had everything under control the entire time. Whilst we waited, we had some toasties and coffee. Nothing spectacular but likewise most enjoyable. We spent an hour in the gaming experience. The staff were so lovely, I noticed they adjusted their manner to suit the most novice and most hard-core of gamer. I recommend this with family, young children over 8 at minimum, you will spend around 2 hours there and expect to spend 30 or so if you want some toasties and an hour play for you and one child 9/10 will come back for sure

Fantastic little gem in saltmarket. The range of consoles and games was unbelievable! The kids got a real taste of the history of gaming. The staff were friendly helpful and very knowledgeable on all things videogames. Nice little cafe with tons of board games and decked out in a manner that fitted the experience. Literally one downside in the hot chocolate was quite bitter for a small child, like it was cocoa powder rather than drinking chocolate - barely worth mentioning.

First time me and my gf have been to R-Cade and I gotta I absolutely love this place and certainly will be back. Great number of games and consoles to play. Simply an absolute wet dream for game lovers. All I can say is the best to luck to the folks who have put this place together and keep it up. I highly recommend to people, whenever you have free time go and check this place out you won’t regret it. Brilliant food and board games/mangas as well.

This place is amazing, the games are great but the staff make it what it is! They were so helpful and really interacted with me and my brother. They have almost any game you can think of on so many consoles! I will 100% be back again! Thanks again guys for the amazing service

A very nostalgic fun experience with my son. The staff are really friendly and helpful, creating a nice chilled atmosphere. The hour time slot flew in, but we managed to squeeze in quite a good few games on various consoles

We took a large group of kids here for my ten year olds birthday - staff were wonderful, so patient with some very loud children!! They are super enthusiastic about their video games and know their stuff, the cafe is great and with a board game section too. We will definitely be back as a family for another play soon, thanks again!

Great way to entertain the kids (and their retro game lovin’ Dad). The arcade is small but fun-packed. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. The cafe and it’s selection of board games is really cool too and we enjoyed hanging out there for a while afterwards.

Good trip down memory lane, took the kids to show them what gaming was like with no Internet! Would like to go back at night with my mates for a few beers and some competitive gaming

  • 5/5 Codie H. 1 year ago on Google
We have the best time here, playing old childhood games. the staff are lovely and very helpful even when you give a horrible Description on a game that you remember when you where 6 years old and they still managed to find it for us to play. 10/10 recommend perfect for a chilled date night.

  • 4/5 Andrew T. 1 year ago on Google
Great spot to sit and play a few games, though they are still expanding their available games. No catan or dominion or ascension yet! And only coffee and tea and sweets on the menu. But the service is great and friendly and they even showed us how to play a few games!

  • 5/5 Cammy 1 year ago on Google
Absolutely amazing place to go to. A wee cafe plus gaming arcade. The cake and coffee are really good and the games brought many memories. Try pong if you get a chance! Nice bit of history. And the staff were very pleasant and helpful when me and my friend were having trouble with some games Really recommend going!

  • 5/5 Gerry L. 7 months ago on Google
Booked a one hour pass for 2 kids and one adult. The cost came to £25. I'd happily recommend this to any parent looking to join in on some retro gaming fun with their kids and get them out the house for bit. The venue looks great and the choice of consoles and games were fantastic. Staff were super helpful, knowledgable and great with the kids. They have a cafe for snacks/drinks and a wide range of board games to play with the kids whilst you eat. Super fun place and the kids are raving about it. Will definitely be going back.

We spent a very enjoyable afternoon in both the the arcade and cafe. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Huge selection of games and the food was delicious. 100% 5 star review from my 10 and 13 year old sons.

  • 5/5 Audra M. 4 months ago on Google
We had our child’s 9th birthday party at R-Cade. The kids had a great time and the staff were so welcoming and helpful during the party. I wasn’t sure what we would need to do on the day, but the staff were really on top of it which meant we could enjoy it along with our guests. R-Cade is a great venture and we love visiting, so we're really pleased to have such a great party experience.

Had a great time here with our friends and their daughter. Brilliant dose of nostalgia and a fun way to spend time in an afternoon. New cafe area was lovely and if we'd had the time could have very happily worked our way through their broad range of board games. Well worth your time!

  • 5/5 kelly l. 5 months ago on Google
Need some adult time for an afternoon tea or shopping without disgruntled teenagers? Park your kids here for win win situation. They get to play retro games while you can relax and shop. Unchaperoned if they are 12 years old and onwards. Booking in advance requiref.

    Me n my 15 year old daughter spent a lovely 2hours there on Friday,it was our first visit but won't be the last!we were a bit apprehensive at first but we sat at the table and a lovely girl came over and asked if it was our first visit,she explained how it works and left us to decide,it's so comfy after that,it's like being at home,we started off with a half hour pass for all electronic games for £3 to see how we got on,,now I'm not a gamer lol but the staff came over and showed us how to play when they thought we were struggling,and I didn't feel stupid at all!we did pay for another hour because we were enjoying it so much,my daughter n me had such a laugh,,at me?! Then we had a free game of connect 4,what a lovely raining afternoon we had!;

This is the best cafe in Glasgow. I brought my 11 year old son to see all the old retro games and he loved it. Staff are absolutely fab and so helpful. We will be making this our regular weekend trip. I can't recommend it enough!!

Amazing little slice of gamer heaven. I'm from Liverpool but every time I go to Glasgow I make a point of visiting this store, such a warm and welcoming atmosphere and it was fab that the staff remembered me. Always recommend it to anyone I hear is visiting Glasgow, I just wish I lived closer so I could go to more of the game nights they have!

I nearly died here. Ordered the hottest noodles on the menu because there were no Pikachu flavoured ones left and I think I know what fire tastes like now. If you're into imported milk and fire eating, then this is the place to be. This place is very laid back and has a ton of games to choose from on many different formats. I played some golden oldies here and introduced a friend to Bomberman and Micro Machines as he'd never played them before. It's worth a visit if you're looking for something fun to do and the staff all seemed lovely and I got the impression they were actually into the games they have on offer.

A little spot of heaven in the centre of Glasgow! This amazing venue has over 1000 original games that you can play on the huge selection of consoles in the arcade. You can play on Atari, Sega, Nintendo, Playstation, Xbox and even vintage Pong! Price to play is great too, only £5 to play as many games as you like for an hour, or if you are over 18 you only pay £5 and can play from 7-10pm at the weekends. There are also over 100 board games that you can play FOR FREE in the cafe! They sell a great selection of hot and cold drinks, imported snacks and noodles which are delicious! The overall vibe of this place is amazing, it's so relaxing and fun. This isn't a geek den, there were families, a group of school kids plus a group of guys in suits all playing games together! Everyone feels welcome to join in no matter who they are, even dogs are welcome in the cafe too!!

Came here at around lunchtime with a bunch of classmates from Uni. Had a great time. The staff member(Andrew?) was very helpful and explained everything to us. They have a ridiculous amount of games to play, over 1100 we were told, with a wide selection of both retro and newer-gen consoles available to play on. They also have various geek memorabilia and older games available to purchase for decent prices. The place looks great too. You can easily just spend half a hour looking at all the gaming knick knacks on the wall, or the artwork in the bathroom. They also offer lots of board games which are free to play, and serve a very small selection of instant noodles, and have a few more outlandish snacks to pick up, such as macha flavoured biscuits. Will be coming here again. Thanks!

If you're a retro gamer you have visit this place. Thousands of games across all your favourite consoles. Also has the different accessories to use. A lovely selection of crazy drinks. Great value. Yes it's a bit dark and dingy, but that's part of the appeal, also makes the TV'S look better. Go and become a child again for a couple of hours.

Very cosy cafe/arcade. They have an absolutely fantastic selection of games and consoles in here, as well as manga that is available to read! The cafe serves Japanese noodles, steamed dumplings, miso soup and imported Japanese snacks and drinks. A very welcome change from the usual cafe food, and very fitting to the venue. I would highly recommend this little gem to anyone who loves retro games
