Just went there for the second time for their amazing deep dish pizza. Keep in mind I’m surrounded by dozens of pizzerias but would rather drive the hour commute for Gennaro’s deep dish. The staff are incredibly kind and the food is absolutely amazing. So amazing i keep on forgetting to snap a photo of the food. Definitely will on my 3rd commute, but in conclusion please check them out.

I had been getting social media suggestions for Chicago-style pizza and I told my husband, which got us both interested in finding a local place that offered it. After many Google searches and reviews, we decided to try out Gennaro's II, and it did not disappoint! The guy behind the counter (not sure if he was the owner or the chef) welcomed us as we entered and he figured out immediately that it was our first time there. He knew we were there for the Chicago-style pizza. He offered us a menu and let us look it over. There are tons of options for Chicago-style and thin-crust pizza, but we were there for the Deep Dish! We ordered the Meat Lovers and WOW it was delicious. I never thought I would eat pizza with a fork and a knife, but it was a whole different experience than New York-style pizza. The sauce was savory and the bacon was the star of the meats. The cheese had the perfect amount of stretch, we devoured almost two slices each. It was so delightful and the experience was awesome we will be back. Plus it is so close to the Philadelphia Premium Outlets, anytime we head up there, this will probably be our new place to stop, beforehand.

The Chicago Deep Dish Pizza! Cheesesteak Style! Great customer service! The owner remembers their customers and that’s key when you walk in and pick up your order. That’s a lost cause these days, Thanks for remembering me! 🍕🍕🍕

Top notch pizza and wings! We went with the pan style square pizza, since I'm not a huge fan of deep dish, it was very good. Also couldn't resist an order of hot wings. The wings were phenomenal. The homemade Buffalo sauce was perfection. And the wings were perfectly thick and crispy. Online ordering makes it super easy. Just order and pick up. Will definitely order from here again.

Usually I get the Chicago style pizza, but this time I dined in and went with a large Pepperoni, pizza was delicious and had that stringy cheese that stretches when it's hot out of the oven. Very nice people there.

Ordered the Meatlovers Deep dish pizza, was in a mood to try some Deep dish pizza that was local. According to the reviews, this was one of the best in the area. Unfortunately, I have to disagree. Don’t get me wrong, the workers were really friendly and asking me about how I found this place. Didn’t look too busy but I guess I should’ve known better since after the first bite, it tasted weird. Like the sausage or meat or something in the pizza tasted like coffee. Maybe it was smoked or something, idk but It tasted gross. I figured I try the other slice to see if it was any better and nope. The coffee taste was gone but the herbs or seasoning they used was not good, I couldn’t enjoy it or bother to eat the rest. Didn’t help that I had a major bathroom problem the next 2 days after eating this. I wouldn’t recommend this place. I feel like I threw $34 down the drain. I just wished I could’ve just ordered a slice to try before buying an entire pie, that I didn’t even bother finishing. Not sure what type of seasoning they use for the meats or pizza but I was not a fan, guess I’ll just stick to going to other pizza spots like Jules. 1/5.

My husband and I stopped in because we were craving pizza. We typically order a meat lover's pizza every time we get pizza. The pizza was tasty, cooked perfect, and I loved the sauce, however, the meat portion didn't live up to the meat lover's name. The restaurant was clean and quiet and the staff was very pleasant. We would definitely return!

The perfect pairing to watching the first ever NASCAR Chicago street race. I was recommended to try the Chicago style pizza here. Dough: The most important part of any pizza is the dough, even more so on Chicago style. It's pretty perfect here, good color and crunch on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Still enough strength to hold it's shape without being too thick. Toppings: a great blend of everything, nothing is over bearing and too strong. The sauce is a good thickness, and cooked well. The mushrooms are canned, which is fine, I'm sure it's hard keeping fresh mushrooms, but I prefer fresh. Nothing against Gennaro's. All in all, a nice representation of Chicago style in an area that otherwise wouldn't be able to enjoy it.

We came in since my spouse and I were hungry pizza. Every time we get pizza, we normally order a meat lover's pizza. Although the pizza was delicious, cooked perfectly, and I adored the sauce, the meat component fell short of the meat lover's moniker. The personnel was really friendly, and the restaurant was quiet and clean. We would most definitely go back!

This was such a great find, took me about an hour and a half, and it was worth every second. The host was super welcoming, and friendly. It's a small location, but has a nice parking lot, and is nice, clean and cozy. The food was excellent. I have been wanting proper Deep Dish pizza for a while, and this finally hit the spot. Had both a meat lover and a plain cheese one, and both were a treat. They may seem "small", but two slices will calm any hunger, for the whole day. Looking forward to inviting people to try the food, on my next visit.
