What a lucky find on a Monday in Collingswood and actually OPEN!! If you’re looking for authentic Mexican restaurant, this is a MUST! Great food and perfect for a Monday when everything else around is closed.

Since moving from Tampa I've been on the search for genuinely good Mexican food. This is the place! Ordered on door dash and it came very quickly, everything delicious. Can't wait to go check it out in person!

This is authentic and delicious Mexican food. The nachos with steak appetizer is spot on and could pass as a meal given the size. The salsa verde is refreshing and the al pastor is top tier. This is my favorite Mexican spot in south jersey! Buen provecho

Service was great and food came quick, but overall I found the food at La Catrina to be very average. Wasn't impressed with the carnitas quesadilla in particular, and didn't love being charged for more chips. With that said, queso fundido was nice and the steak platter I got was good.

Great Mexican food at La Catrina in Collingswood. The "lava bowl" (I can't pronounce the real name - molecajete?) Was so loaded with meats! All the food was great, ribeye, burrito, pizza special, and churros!

So delicious- we eat here often and it never disappoints. Friendly service + very reasonably priced food and drinks (we BYO wine or tequila to add to their margaritas.) Yesterday we tried their trio enchiladas and the tampiqueña; everything was flavorful and the steak was cooked just right. So glad to have La Catrina in the neighborhood!

We were looking for something new and Mexican is always at the top of the list. This BYO has a good vibe and a pretty expansive menu. Service was friendly but very spotty and folks who were seated after us were served before us. Chips and salsa were delivered but we waited 15 minutes to get our drinks. There were several servers working and we just got the luck of the draw. The empanadas were delicious, the guacamole appetizer was fresh and plentiful and the Mixto Fajitas were sizzling hot (but were served 5 minutes before the tortillas and sides). Overall, good food and we'll give it another try.

I had heard great things about this place and it lived up to my expectations! Everything was delicious and authentic, prices were great, and staff as a whole were all welcoming. I love the location right in the heart of Collingswood and will definitely be going back!

The staff was super friendly and very helpful with helping us choose what to order. The food tasted wonderful and was pleasing to the eye. My mother who doesn't ordinarily eat Mexican food, enjoyed the tri-mix Fajitas. I will definitely frequent this establishment.

The food and service are excellent. But it’s the little details that matter most. The hand stitched detailing on the towels that wrap your tortillas when they’re delivered to your table. The handmade baskets and pottery used to serve your food. You can feel the love and family in this restaurant, and it is one of our favorites in Collingswood for sure. Thank you!

La Catrina is #1 for Mexican food in the area. My husband loves the homemade blue corn tacos with flounder and my go to is the chicken tinga burrito! Such great flavors and always wonderful service! Their verde sauce is one of the best I’ve had! Go there now!

My husband and I moved from Long Beach, California where Mexican food is extremely authentic. Since moving to New Jersey, it has been tremendously difficult for us to find a Mexican restaurant that resembles any authentic Mexican food. We find that many Mexican restaurants in the area are bland or Americanized. Since we discovered La Catrina, we have been IN LOVE! Food is so delicious, representation is amazing, staff is very friendly and courteous. The atmosphere is family friendly and the food is good for kids as well! My 2 and 4 year old love coming here. We love coming here on the weekends and trying their new specials of the day, we have never been disappointed! We had lobster enchiladas and wet burritos as shown in the pictures and we were impressed. Feels good to have found a place that remind us of home.

Service was extremely slow. Food was HORRIBLE. My husband ordered a burrito with marinated pork, there was no meat inside just beans and rice. I ordered the mixta fajita, my steak was rubbery and tough, shrimp were under cook and chicken was dry. I told the waitress I had food allergy (Pepper) and specifically ask for no peppers, my food came out filled with peppers. I asked for sour cream, the sour cream had the viscosity of ranch dressing, very watery. The beans and rice were cold and thick. The bottle of hot sauce was old. This place was EXTREMELY disappointing! ABSOLUTELY no comparison to Las Esperanza! HANDS DOWN! Very Disappointing and not worth it!

Our server, Jose, was very personable and attentive. Our food was wonderful, and the black beans were the best I've ever had, as well as the mole! Delishous! And with the 30° temp outside, the restaurant was comfortable, making it a more enjoyable time. I hate being cold while having dinner! Looking forward to bringing friends our next visit!
