This has been a great place for me to bring my paddle board and get some time on the water! The two younger people who work the rentals are always so nice and gave great recommendations!

A nice park with canoes and kayaks available at the beach in the main entrance by the playground. The side entrance (Fries Mill Rd) leads to parking where there's a boat ramp, access to a kayak launch and a fishing pier. Went mid week, 90+ degrees, one boat and small group of 3 kayakers. Went back following Sunday. 81 degrees. Over 22 kayaks and canoes, one SUP (mine) with several people fishing off the piers and a long the bank and we still thought it was peaceful.

Hidden gem in our neighborhood! The park is beautifully maintained, offering serene lakeside views and peaceful walking paths. It's the perfect spot for family picnics, evening strolls, or just soaking in nature's beauty. A great place to disconnect and breathe in some fresh air. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy a bit of tranquility in the heart of the community.

This park has grown into an all purpose public recreation area. You can rent kayaks, there is a play area for smaller children and picnic tables spread out. There are also rest rooms.

Nice park! Lots of area for families to picnic & enjoy being outside. I found these swings to be very similar to one's I played on as a kid. So I enjoyed swinging on the swings. Have fun & be safe ÷)

Park was quiet on a weekday. Followed the trail from the “beach” to the boat launch. There is also a little path with placards to identify the various trees.

Gorgeous park. Beautiful lake. Such a community vibe. I believe they set out kayaks and canoes that be taken out on the water (free of charge) as long as a waiver is signed. I may make use of those someday for a fun family afternoon. Playground is great. Lots of shade, lots of trees. Large pavilion area. There are trails as well which are great for jogging. Park rangers are always there so the place feels safe to run at even in the evening.

Very nice place, and it is kept pretty clean. I will say you should go there but it does sometimes get crowded. The water is very nice and there is some small fish by the shore.

This is a really nice park. It's well kept and clean. There are plenty of walking trails. The park is split by East Academy Street, but the road is easy to cross with a flashing crosswalk. Wilson lake is part of the park but there is no swimming. There is a playground with nice equipment. They have canoes available but I don't know if they are rental. It's worth the time to take a nice walk through a wooded place.

The park ranger lady tonight was so kind after we lost track of time and ended up on the trail after sunset though I didn't manage to get her name. We already loved the park but after seeing the caring worried staff I love it even more. Beautiful park with lake, trails and a playground.

Decent small park. Boat dock. Small lakefront area. Apparently they rent canoes too though they were locked up when I visited. I think there is a modest woods trail also.

Really liked this park. Nice playground and great lake access. Didn't get to walk the trails but in the hour I was there I saw both security and people maintaining the park.

Fishing is good. The lake is very shallow with lots of vegetation. I was constantly cleaning my gear. It looks like there are deeper spots for those who have boats. I wish they would make the spots next to the fishing piers deeper.

My kids and I love this place. The nature center is amazing and Dr Dan is friendly, very knowledgeable and funny. Can't wait to see what new species of insect he discovers next!

Was there for the Waterfest a cpl weekends ago...Had a great day with family and everyone working the event was awesome. Shout out to the local parks and recs for putting together a great day. The kayaks and canoes were the icing on the cake.

Quiet peaceful park, enjoyed watching the kayakers on the lake. Even if you don't have a boat, its nice to sit by the water.

One of the best places for a family day. Canoe and kayak rentals are extremely budget friendly. Nice park with restrooms, picnic tables and nature trails.

Have kayak and canoe rentals fun for getting the kids out before getting them on their own! Amazing place

The park by the boat ramp was clean and well maintained, the few people that were there seemed nice and friendly enough. My grandchildren and I did some kayaking but the lily pads and sea weed made it somewhat difficult at times. Overall it was a good experience.
