Nice cozy place in downtown pitman. Nice selection of appetizers and meals. The wedge salad was great. The dressing was smooth and the bacon crumbles were so tasty. The duck with cherry demi glace was very good, as well as the penne vodka. Service was good, but do not expect to get in and get out. Food is cooked to order in the open kitchen fresh and hot. It was especially crowded on the night we went because of an event and show at the theater down the road.

Not a good experience. A few of the waitresses were extremely rude when I walked in and tried to dismiss me before they'd even knew why I was there (a reservation for dinner). I'm only giving 2 stars due to the chef, who was nice enough to come out and check on our table. This was our first and last time going. Food wasn't nearly as good as it'd need to be for me to return. Try being nicer to people.

This place is super cute and great to go for a date night or just an evening to relax. The food was really good, I highly recommend the duck. You can bring your own wine or if you forget they have local wine which was not bad. The inside is very quaint with an old Italian feel mixed with movies from a time long ago on a big projection screen. Very unique decor and ambiance all around. We were there during the winter so the front was closed off, I think the summer would be even better to sit out front in downtown Pitman. Five stars for uniqueness and service by the staff!

I’d give less if possible. Came in for brunch and had reservation. In the 1hr and 20 min we were there 2 tables walked out, another table’s order was all messed up. In the hour and 20 min we never received our food, waited 35 min before flagging down the owner to get us refills on drinks and never received our food. Note all we ordered was avocado toast and an omelet. Anthony (I think he was a manager) stood on corner of kitchen not doing anything except pointing and drinking his bottles of water. When we asked they stated new kitchen staff (one of new cooks walked out), but rather than someone expediting they pointed fingers and blamed the kitchen. Will NEVER go back and recommend you stay away also!

If I could give this place less than one star I would! The service staff was doing their best, but were clearly understaffed. Our food came out pretty quick after we eventually ordered. Everything we ordered, for a table of four, came out cold. The most laughable plate of food was the chocolate chip pancakes. They were 3 pancakes with chocolate chips dropped on top. And the amount they charge per entree is absurd for what we got. The gentleman dresses in a suit that was proudly walking around taking pictures of the plates of food, inquired about our meal. I was honest with him that it was very disappointing. He said he would take care of it. I didn’t know what he meant, but he never came back. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Very bad experience. We ordered at 6:30 and over an hour later didn’t have entrees. We settled up for appetizers and left. We were given excuses about being short staffed. The place was half full, there were 2 people cooking and several servers. Not once did our server let us know what was going on or apologize for delays when she knew we had theater ticks for 8 o’clock. No manager around and one server working with a baby strapped to her back. The place is small so it was almost surreal how we were being ignored. We go into pitman for dinner and a show almost every month and will not go back to Sweet Lulus.

Fantastic Experience at Sweet Lula’s!! Our company reserved the restaurant for our Christmas party and it couldn’t have gone better. The food was delicious and the staff was great. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back again!

The server was nice, however the food was not good at all. For $45 for a filet it was first overcooked then undercooked. The mashed potato’s and vegetables were cold. The first time was fine then after not having it right we decided to just not eat. We got the check and left. It was a horrible experience and I won’t be back. There were only 5 tables there so really were no excuses. Then when I came out after show, ironically all 6 trash cans were right up against my car which was parked handicap with sign for my mother so she wasn’t even able to get in the vehicle I had to move.

My husband and I went to Sweet Lulas for my birthday and the food was delicious! The waitress was very pleasant and personable. The owner was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcomed! Not to mention her adorable grand baby visiting the restaurant. We will definitely be back! I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Food is made fresh to order.

The food was good, service was slow, prices are a bit much for the venue. The atmosphere was boring, nothing but white walls. They should pay very close attention to what ingredients they have before promising something from the menus then to tell the guest they are out of something. Also, I got stuck in the bathroom! The lock wouldn’t let go and I was stranded for a little while until someone heard me banging on the door.

Not a lot of room to move around. They dont change the paper on the tables. Ours was dirty. I brushed it off but it was stained. Not enough help. There was one person answering phones, seating and waitressing. Takes a LONG time to get food. Very over priced for what you get. I ordered an omelet. Didnt taste like an omelet at all. Home fries were AWESOME!!! Rye bread was fresh and tasty. Husband got the skillet breakfast and he liked that!

1st and last time at this restaurant. As 1st time vistors we asked for a glass of wine and was told that she only service non alchololic wine. Ok, no biggie. Turns out it was white grape juice. Their web site shows entrees that they don't actually have because we were told that they don't update the web site. I ordered chicken marsala with mashed potatoes and veggies. Potatoes were so salty that they could not be eaten. The food was just warm not hot. The marsala chicken was drenched in marsala wine. It was not good at all. The waitress asked if I had wanted this in a box and I told her no. Told her that the entire meal was bad and the potatoes especially was too salty. She took it back to the kitchen and had a conversation with the chef and came back out and said to me......the chef said it had to be the velvetta cheese in the potatoes that made it so salty because it didn't taste like that 3 days ago. #1 really velvetta cheese processed cheese in potatoes on a $37 plate and #2 the chef saying it didn't taste like that 3 days ago. 3 days ago ! Never again. Save your money and skip this place.

Excellent. We went for Valentine's Day. Got there at 5pm and we're the first ones there. Crab Avocado Fritter was excellent and Meatballs were homemade. Gnocchi ala Vodka with shrimp was one of the best I've had and the chicken marsala my wife said was excellent. For dessert we had a banana fritter and cafe mocha...again excellent. Service was great, even as they got very crowded. Our server, Rose, was very nice. Would definitely go back and everything we ate was great enough to order again.

We had dinner here last night. We sat down and were brought water and bread. It took a while for a server to get to us and we opened our own win. We were never offered any other beverages. We ordered an appetizer and after not receiving it for around 20 minutes the waitress made note if it and said she'd check on it. Next thing I know our entrees are delivered. We let the server who brought our meals know that we never received our appetizer. She said she'd check and also have it taken off of our bill. They ended up bringing the appetizer after our entrees. Halfway thru eating our meals our waitress asked if we wanted dessert. We said no because we weren't done eating our entrees at that point. She brought us our check and seemed to be rushing us out. They also had not taken the appetizer off the bill. The food was okay but not great (we had the calamari, the crab cake, and the duck). The staff were nice enough but the service could have been better. There was 2 of us in our party and our bill was $99 for the 3 items, which to me was a bit expensive for what we received.

Definitely not in my preferred price range for the quality I received but I can see the culinary vision, the flavor was there. Wait staff was nice BUT should be more knowledgeable and forthcoming with menu specifics and cooking/preparation details. Highlight of the whole meal was the drink. Their cocktail menu could win awards.

Unlike previous reviews of others, owners were pleasant as well as our server, who was more than happy to ask the owner to turn down the loud music that was over our table. I can understand slower than usual service for Mother's Day brunch. However, I expect my food to be served hot, especially when I have to wait longer for it. With the exception of fatty steak (and eggs), food was good but served lukewarm for most at our table of 8. Would like to see the Mother's Day buffet back as was in 2018.

Took my wife, son and future daughter-in-law. Went to Lula’s to try it for their upcoming rehearsal dinner. We had appetizers, dinner and desert. For apps we shared the chicken teriyaki dumplings, Brussels sprouts and Lula Shrimp. Everything came out piping hot and delicious. We ordered Duck breast, crab cake and two NY strips (1 well done and 1 medium rare) for our entrees. All of the dishes came out together and were cooked to perfection. For desert we had bread pudding, banana fritter, cheese cake and hazel nut moose pie. Each was better than the other. I would recommend the shrimp lula, duck breast and banana fritter the most. The wait staff was very personable and friendly. Dawn was our server and she was great, responsive to us and willing to make substitutions on the menu. Ask for her when you go. All in all I would highly recommend Sweet Lula’s. We will be back and we will be booking next week for the rehearsal dinner.

I had heard wonderful things about this place and arrived at noon as we had 2:00 PM tickets for a show and we wanted to take our time and walk around before the show. We sat outside and it took a while for someone to wait on us. Everyone was very friendly but service was slow. We never got offered refills for our coffee until and hour and a half after being there. It took over an hour for our appetizer to come (roasted tomatoes) I had to go in and ask if we were getting our meals soon at 1:30 PM as our show time was coming up. After another 10 minutes or so, we finally got our meals. We each ordered two eggs, I had bacon, my friend had sausage. Why it took an hour and 40 minutes to get this, I can't imagine. We heard there was new cook, only one waitress, the fryer went down.....many excuses.. We heard the owner was very sorry and would be over to talk to us, that never happened. Our plates were advertised to come with home fries, we got a handful of French fries. Supposed to have toast, we got plain English muffins with nothing on them, not even sure they were toasted. No butter on it, no offers of butter or jelly. We quickly rushed through our meal to get over to the Pitman Broadway theater. Other tables walked out, the table behind us waited even longer and their order was not correct either. I was embarrassed, as I planned this day to take my best friend out for her birthday. Thank goodness the theater was wonderful and the show was amazing. Our brunch was NOT. I will definitely come back to Pitman but I do not recommend this restaurant unfortunately. Maybe I will try it again after trying out the other restaurants near the theater. Very disappointed.

Had dinner there on September, 24th 2022. The service was fine but the food was less then spectacular. We started off with the calamari and the vegetarian meatballs. The calamari was cold but had nice flavor. The vegetarian meatballs had carrots in them that were not cooked. I wasn’t sure if it they were looking for texture in the dish, but it was off putting. I had the salmon which was an extremely small portion for the price. And the person I was with had the chicken and artichoke which, again, was tasty but the linguine was mush. The desserts were very good. We had the key lime pie and the cheesecake. When we received the bill, we where surprised that my sodas were not free refills.

Place in the middle of Pitman's main strip, a sense of worry came over us as we enter the dimly lit, desolate restaurant. The ambiance definitely set a nice date night vibe. The menu is succinct with simple explanations. We started of with Lula's shrimp which was tenderly fried shrimp with a dipping chutney. Flavor was good and the cook was on point. However, the entrées were where that ended. I got the NY strip and my wife got the lobster ravioli. Her ravioli were tough and flavorless. They were swimming in blush sauce that had no flavor. My NY strip was cook as I asked but it had no flavor. Covering it gorgonzola you would expect that to add flavor but that was not the case.

I enjoyed the new menu. The pork chop was done exactly how I asked, tender and juicy. The chicken park was huge and perfectly cooked. The acorn squash appetizer was amazing! Highly recommend.

I had my daughter's Sweet 16 party here. The food was good, but not overly impressive for the price. The owners were rude and the wait staff seamed overwhelmed with the size of the party. Haven't been back since.

This is my favorite place to go to eat. The food is incredible and the service is as well. So very happy to have such a special restaurant in our town.

This has been my dad and mine’s go to restaurant for years. We go here before the shows at the Pitman Theater, and I am always impressed by their food, and their staff. They remember you no matter how long it’s been! I hadn’t been there on almost two years because of Covid, yet the owner remembered us and caught up with us a for a few minutes. The food is also amazing! I love every dish I have ever gotten here. I recommend everyone to go here when you can!

Had the filet, it was fatty which is odd for a filet. Green beans were cold. My husband had the pork tenderloin and that was like shoe leather. This was not inexpensive, very disappointing.

We love this restaurant! The food is fresh, delicious and unique. The inside is clean comfortable and cosey. Who could ask for a better dining experience!

I was with a party of 4 to celebrate my 71st birthday. We were seated promptly and served our drinks quickly. We all had something different and enjoyed our meals. Our waitress Rose was very efficient and cordial. The only negative was the noise level was to high once the placed filled up.
