Sadly the majority of these pictures were taken over the course of several months. For some reason this sort of gym culture was accepted at this LA Fitness. I no longer saw it necessary to continue to pay $30+ a month to have to fetch the equipment I wanted to use. The new gym opened down the street with a ton of former LA members flocking there and the dumbbells are put back in the correct order and weights are returned back to their respective areas. The cleaning staff always seemed to be on top of their game but the employees there cared more to socialize than actually work.

I stopped going here although I was a member for >1 year. The gym/bathroom/pool area was dirty, the machines were completely outdated and/or broken. I never witnessed any of the employees wipe down the machines and unfortunately the members did not wipe them down either. I got the impression that management is lazy because they had me do their job for them and walk around the gym to take an inventory of every machine that was broken (I’m not kidding, their laziness was real). The only “redeeming” aspect was the Zumba classes that were fun.

The equipment is outdated and in bad shape. I have witness no members wipe down machines when done. The sauna and the pool are the only benefit I see here. I had high hopes with my trial membership, I'm disappointed

Needs help with cleaning. The steam room has issues. Whoever goes in the steam room should understand how it works but don't. There's a thermometer for a reason, if you keep pouring water on the stat you brake it and put it out of commission for EVERYONE. Things work the way they are supposed to for a reason.

This gym is dirty. There’s no other way to sugar coat it. I’ve been to many locations of LA fitness and Esporta and this location is not up to par at all comparatively. There is dust or gunk on most of the machines, degraded machines that are torn, rusted and not well maintained. Weight lifting and cable accessories are brown from not being cleaned. At the end of every session, I wash my hands and the water is brown from the dirt on the equipment I’m using. I just resorted to buying gloves as extra protection measure from germs. That’s just gross even when using a public gym. In other gyms I’ve gone to, there are consistently staff cleaning the machines throughout the day and I only have seen staff cleaning the weight sections floor here. Not wiping down cardio machines fully, and not sanitizing and cleaning the weights area, the group fitness room, or the mats throughout the gym. I would never in a million years shower here. I work from home and am not around a lot of germs generally due to this and since coming to this gym for the last two months, I’ve gotten sick several times and really believe it wouldn’t have occurred if there were better cleanliness standards in place. The women’s sauna doesn’t seem like it’s been cleaned consistently either. Wooden boards missing. I’m in progress to find a new gym in the area.

A member for 20 plus years since it was LA fitness. This used to be “the gym”. Great staff, great instructors, management was always accommodating. NO MORE! And what a shame this is. Example. The spin room…used to be standing room only. You had to get there early to reserve a bike. So many classes , a long list of amazing instructors, the energy in the room was incredible. Everyone around wanted to be in the spin classes here. Fast forward. Spin bikes are 20 years old. Rusty, always broken. There are usually more broken along the wall waiting to be fixed than there are to choose from to take a class and those few available grind, most screens don’t work… the amount of classes offered has diminished to very few because no one wants to teach there or take classes because it’s so outdated , filthy and unkept with so many local gyms in the area with competitive pricing that upkeep their bikes and equipment. Every year I’m told they will be updated and here we are almost 20 years later. It’s very sad because like I said this gym and it’s classes used to be packed and now everyone has left for other gyms because they don’t want to invest to get people back. What a shame. This gym could be what it used to be! Make the investment ESPORTA or just keep losing people. Sad

I went in with a friend to try it out. I found it to be very crowded, the gym to be dirty, there were no cleaning bottles and I was instructed to use hand sanitizer on the wall. A lot of young kids working out with their parent and there was a few people loudly talking on their phones throughout. Staff was not welcoming. Weights were not racked. I would not pursue a membership here.

I recently returned to this gym and am extremely dissatisfied with the upkeep and maintenance of this location. The paper towel dispensers are rarely filled when needing to wipe down equipment after use. A good portion of the weight machines are either “scheduled for service” or have been jerry-rigged and are falling apart. Not to mention how old and worn out most of the equipment such barbells and dumbbells are. Every member, including myself, pays Esporta a membership fee each month, but the equipment doesn’t meet our expectations. Esporta should take a portion of those fees and update the gym and it’s equipment to meet its members’ expectations. More than half of the machines here have been in circulation since before Esporta bought out LA Fitness, some machines dating back to 2012, possibly many years prior. I’ve had conversations with many other members who are also dissatisfied. My hope is that someone from corporate sees this review and makes the necessary changes to not only keep the gym running smoothly and to its members’ satisfaction, but also to make it safer and more sanitary. The hot steam room is the only reason I gave this review 2 starts instead of 1. Every other part of this gym does not meet mine or other members’ expectations.

Great experiences here, and I have been a member for over 20 years. Staff is helpful, and facilities have all that I need, however. . . Unfortunately this pool is just about swimmable for me, they have changed to using Bromine, and this causes skin irritation ranging from mild discomfort to full blown hives. This was never the case when Chlorine was used. I understand not everyone is allergic to Bromine, but I have heard from many others who can no longer use this pool because of this.

I've been trying to get out of my group training for 2 weeks due to billing issues and they still haven't been resolved. I like the gym but the customer service really sucks. Beware when signing up for group training. It feels like they force it down your throat to pay something extra. Oh and they will say they'll call you back and never do. Her name is Ruby.

Been going here for a few months. The place is clean, spacious, and the color scheme (gray, black, white) is a style I can dig with. The amenities are great, having the option to use the hot tub and steam room etc have been an excellent way to end a workout (or break in-between). The staff is nice. The snack bar is a pretty touch, and I enjoy grabbing a red bull or a protein snack.

Please guys implement steam room rules. People walk in with their shoes, and shirts full of sweat and that bacteria can spread and infect others!!! Get this settled out or I’m not coming to this location

The pool isn't very clean. I've come to swim over 10 times over the last year and I think one time it was decent. There is no hand sanitizer available anywhere either. I don't ever see anyone wiping off the equipment when they're done so I was shocked they didn't have hand sanitizer. They do have spray bottles with cleaner and paper towels at the front but it's kind of a pain to go back and forth. But there are a lot of options for equipment. Staff is okay also. Friendly enough but sometimes they'll start turning the lights off on you early if it's getting close to closing time.

This location you can bet the hot tub is always out of service. If by chance the tub is hot then the jets don’t work. Sad location.

I absolutely love all of the spin instructors at Esporta Fitness in Turnersville. Dave, Perry, Cherie, and Dana are all so good! I love their turf area as well as the sauna and pool.

my deep concern is the cleanliness of the woman’s shower and bathroom area. It is horrible I know as many other people are saying the same thing and still no results have been shown. Need the close down the water area until things can look better it’s a disgrace to show someone a walk-through and allow them to see mole, Rust and other horrible things around in the pool area.

Recently joined eSporta because it's the only affordable gym with a steam room option. Was good for about a month then steam room started having regular issues, going down for maintenance and now it's been down for days. Many people I see in passing at the gym say they're only there for the steam room as well, as Edge Fitness and other competitor gyms offer saunas. Hoping they see the value they have in the steam room/sauna combo and give it a much needed remodel 🙌🏻 other than that the staff is great, some equipment needs replacing but not a bad gym.

Worse gym health wise I’ve ever been too. Emailed corporate ESPORTA as well to no avail. They’re not on top of things even in higher management of the company. None of the cardio machines are new. All have old iPhone cables to older generation showing they’re 20 years old. With non working cup holders. Seriously. 5 cardio machines have water bottles you can actually set down in the machine to hold while you work out. Machines are squeaky and rusted. Nuts and bolts on pec deck fly machines are loose and machines are always out of order. The steam room is always shut down every other day and the steam room sauna and showers all have dirt and mold. I took a video three days ago of every single shower stall showing black mold. I also videoed underneath the benches in f the sauna. It’s disturbing. I got ring worm and haven’t even been able to show up to the gym due to hygiene concerns this location gave me. OSHA came in and fired several employees. But looks like they gotta come back with the health department and do something. This gym is a joke. The only good part is the smoothie stand shop run by a third party and even they’re overpriced. $5 for a protein bar. Save your money. Get p90x or join LA fitness or something with a better standard

Best $30 ever spent. Matt made signing up super easy. And the gym has a full spa including steam, sauna, whirlpool and swimming pool. Joining is an excellent decision 👌

Yoga with Marianne has truly helped my overall fitness and dexterity. Weight training on gym floor is clean and safe. Spa, pool, racquetball kids club, basketball , cardio are all excellent!

The gym is dirty. Paper toweling all over the floors. The weights are non existent. They have 8 step machines, all eight did not work properly. The screen are filthy, looks like someone sneezed all over them. Some weight machines are missing the weight numbers on dials, so can't tell what weight you are lifting. The free weights in the center area are disorganized or nonexistent. The classes have 6 pairs of the heaviest weights (7.5 Lbs) for about 25 people to use. The gym is aware of these complaints but does nothing. Plenty of staff but they are usually on their cell phones.

Used to be great but now when things break they don’t get fixed 3 out of 6 stair machines are broken. 7 treadmills are broken, also I don’t think management is even checking because it’s been that way for weeks. Only 1 water fountain in the gym area works. The only reason I’m a member is for the sauna honestly. I’m about to switch to planet fitness and give them a shot.

This is my gym! I have explored so many gyms in the tristate area, but ESporta is by far the best around. This establishment used to be called "LA Fitness" and most of the gyms that they opened up were old YMCA buildings that had closed in the local areas. YMCA always had a pool. That means, ESporta fitness centers all have an indoor pool. I have a point system in which I rate places and it begins with Atmosphere, People, Amenities, and aesthetics. For Esporta, I give it a 10 because they have a pool, dry sauna, steam room, hot tub, workout equipment, cardio machines, basketball courts, racket ball courts, boxing/dance room, cycling, and they have a shake bar. As a parent, its most convenient to have a babysitter and most gyms do not have a childcare. Well, Esorta does. The kids care is available twice a day in the morning and at dinner time which is when most people get off of work. The times are very helpful. I love the people there too! They are such a friendly staff with the exception of two individuals there, who really were very rude to me and gave me the meanest faces and didn't even care to try to hide that they were looking at me rudely. Otherwise, the guy who makes the shakes made me feel welcome and so did the assistant manager. If you want a gym that has it all, go to Esorta.

Great facility! I travel a lot and get to visit many Esporta- La Fitness Gyms. This is one of the best for the following reason- -Friendly Staff -Clean Spacious -Great layout -Weights well organized ( exept for a few dumbells which were recently left in a wrong place, probably by individuals whom didnt didn't do well in math and can't tell numbers) :) -Paper towels well stocked -AC is working/comfotable temperature - Very few people at 5:30 am Thanks!

Pressure sales too much here… it is a gym not a car dealership. Free guest passes for those willing to listen to sales pitches and be interrogated to finally sign up.. Alexis manager was too pushy and asked if I really am looking to sign up or “just workout”… also asked for id when that should have been stated on website.. she argued its in the “fine print”, well something that necessary should be written in bold to avoid someone wasting their time. No one wants to sit down with a gym sales rep without first working out and seeing the vibes. Vibes were def off here you guys. Pass.

Very Nice Gym! Nice and big with a basketball court that is a good spot to go with friends. Really chill workers too. All in all a good place to work out.

Always clean, everyone is always nice, and empty! I never wait for anything. Wish things were fixed a little quicker and the kids club is hot

There are 14 broken spin bikes up against the wall in the spin room. The working bikes are old, rusty, smelly, and barely usable. It's very disappointing, especially for new members interested in taking the class.

Great and clean gym with amazing customer service from the staff. Mark helped me out with the membership for a great price. Talked to the Personal Training Manager after and got a great discount on training prices as a new member! Best gym to sign up at.
