After
a
traumatic
injury
and
experience
at
my
local
hospital
where
the
ED
doctor
and
his
PA
didn’t
want
to
waste
their
on
call
Orthopedist
Dr.
Ws
time
for
an
injury
that
didn’t
involve
broken
bones
on
a
Sunday
morning
because
no
one
wanted
to
work
and
they
were
to
busy
drinking
their
Dunkin’
Donuts
and
eating
breakfast.
I
advocated
for
myself
with
my
tshirt
tied
as
a
tourniquet
around
my
ankle,
had
to
ask
the
middlesex
PA
Lisa
to
please
give
me
a
bandage
and
what
kind
of
human
was
she
not
to
and
got
myself
to
Hartford
asap.
It
was
a
long
wait
but
I
got
the
care
I
needed
and
I
didn’t
care
if
I
had
to
wait
all
day
I
knew
there
was
a
ortho
team
WORKING
at
Hartford
hospital
24/7
and
the
best
and
I
needed
them.
At
7:30
pm
I
got
a
ct
scan.
By
9
pm
I
was
greeted
by
two
angels
Kaitlyn
and
Emma
that
are
physician
assistants
at
the
Bone
and
Joint
Institute.
I
was
admitted
to
the
bone
and
joint
institute
over
night
and
one
of
the
most
traumatic
experiences
of
my
life
turned
into
one
of
the
most
beautiful.
I
had
the
best
nurses
and
aids
by
my
side
for
3
nights
I
even
wish
I
stayed
another.
I
was
amazed
by
their
work
ethic
and
it
truly
restored
my
faith
in
the
medical
field
after
my
traumatic
experience
at
middlesex
that
morning
on
top
of
the
injury.
By
7
am
the
next
day
Dr.
Zhou,
who
was
the
on
call
surgeon,
did
everything
he
could
to
save
my
foot
that
day
and
we
are
all
blessed
to
have
Doctors
like
him
around.
I’m
writing
this
3
months
after
I
endured
this
traumatic
degloving
injury
to
my
foot/ankle
and
I
am
back
to
working
full
time.
We
are
very
lucky
to
have
the
Bone
and
Joint
Institute
in
this
community
and
doctors
that
care
about
what
they
are
doing
and
not
pretending.
Thank
you
BJI
you
got
me
back
to
speed!
:)
