Now we arrived at Elephant Corridor in Glen Waverley without a booking. Not able to fit us in due to them being full they offered us the option of sitting outside which was comfortable due to the heating available. We started our evening with three refreshing lion lager being a party of three we decided to start your meal with tandoori lamb cutlets and the Royal tandoor platter. It was nice to receive warm plates to enjoy our starters on, which is very unusual as they are normally chilled at most places. The flavour of the cutlets and the other items coming from the tandoori Oven was very traditional tasty and enjoyable. For our second course we chose to Sample a few different dishes starting with everyone’s favourite butter chicken which was delicious and accompanied by yoghurt this helps with the hint of spice which was enjoyable .With this we also chose Lamb Rogan Josh and the Sri Lankan beef curry to accompany our wet dishes, the party agreed the garlic, naan, poppadoms, and Paratha a flaky wholemeal bread baked in The tandoor would be a good selection and they didn’t disappoint. Overall experience was enjoyable. Staff were a pleasure and most importantly, our host and the reception you gave us even taking into account we didn’t have a booking is what probably started the night off on the right note so when you arrive to try this venue please ask for Lasitha and start your evening off on the right foot.10/10 is how I rate our experience.

Went for an anniversary dinner hoping for authentic flavours and a tasty dining experience. Unfortunately, we were utterly disappointed with the flavours textures and spice mixes of the meals. Even the basic drinks were way off the mark. Hoppers were cold and lacked the crunch, prawn curry was way too mild after asking for spicy, dry pork was ok but lacked seasoning and lacked balance of flavours. Biriyaani was not good at all as the rice, meat and the overall flavours were completely lacking. Poor cuts of meat. One star for staff, cleanliness and time of service. Will not recommend if you are looking for authentic wholesome indo-sri lankan flavours.

Was on our list of restaurants to go for a while and we went there the first thing once the lockdowns lifted and this place certainly didn't disappoint! Loved all the dishes we ordered - Goat biryani was perfectly balanced with it's spices with the meat tenderly cooked. Paneer masala had a very nice peanut mix in the curry base and the red prawn curry complimented the rice really well. Veg kothu was actually the star of the day for us with a nice smoky aftertaste! Great experience overall

It's worth the drive to Glen Waverley for this gem of a restaurant. It's a bit more upscale-looking than some other Indian restaurants I've been to lately, so it's a good date restaurant as well as a good place for a larger group. We ordered the hoppers as an entree, and had the lamb rogan josh and the butter chicken as mains. The hoppers were interesting, but not really my favourite part of the meal. The mains on the other hand were delicious, particularly the butter chicken. We ordered both dishes at the "medium" level of spiciness, which was perfect for us but it did have quite a kick. Definitely coming back for more!

We've been here a few times now. The dishes never disappoint. This time we tried fish croquettes and dark dry pork curry for the first time and were very impressed. The other all time favorites are still good, such as chicken tandoori and jack fruit curry. Their meats are full of flavours - a sign that they take their seasoning seriously. The service, however, tends to be a bit slow even though it's not a full house. So be prepared to have a bit of a wait for the food.

Food was decent, the goat curry was a bit spicy for me but the meat was perfectly cooked. They can work on their desserts. It was more about the service. They say it that you will always remember how someone makes you feel and so it was an experience to remember right from organising a table till the end. I just forgot to ask her name but I will remember the way she smiled even when she was super busy. #39

Amazing place. Must visit if you want to try Srilankan cuisine. Many vegetarian and vegan options. Great experience and service. Kotthu paratha is recommended.

We ordered 3 Veg Kothhu which were about 22$ each but we were very disappointed with the portion size of the meal and on top of that the gravy we received, as shown in the picture, was very little for 3 veg Kothhu. Yes thats right, thats all the gravy we received for "3 VEG KOTTHU". Felt like a daylight robbery to us. We have been ordering Kothhu from this restaurant from a very long time or i must say from many years but their quality and portion size both are going downhill. The only thing which is going up is the prices. I used to love this restaurant but I don't think i am going to order any more food from this restaurant as there are many other Sri Lankan restaurants in nearby suburbs for better value. No Value For Money here!!!

Excellent place to have some spicy SriLankan food. We really liked the service and the food. Although they had an altered menu to select from on Mother’s Day, it still had a lot of variety to it. We had the butter chicken, the chicken tikka (you get 3 pieces but because there were 4 of us eating chicken they offered to add one piece at extra cost), the salt and pepper calamari SriLankan style (as an entree, there is an option to upgrade it to mains), kukul mas (chicken) curry, green jackfruit (polos) curry, string hoppers, and wattalapan. We absolutely loved the spicy kukul mas curry and the mildly flavoured green jackfruit curry. Both had distinct taste to it. The chicken tikka is one of the best that we’ve had in this area. Wattalapan is something that we tried for the first time and was a bit too sweet for our liking. They have a humble drinks menu to select from as well.

Best garlic naan and amazing crab curry. Amazing food that can't be faulted - will come here again and again. Portions are value for money, too. Wasn't expecting that much crab in the curry! It just kept giving :)

Dinner on a Friday night was a delightful experience. I opted for the $35 main dish (can’t remember the name) and a stir-fry prawn, and both were tasty. The rice was moist, not overly dry, adding to the overall satisfaction. What stood out was the fantastic service – attentive and prompt. The restaurant exudes an authentic atmosphere that enhances the dining experience. Plus, they didn't keep us waiting; the serving was impressively quick. A perfect choice for a memorable evening of good food and great service.

Very tasty curries; the meat was tender and flavoursome. Meals were served quickly and the table service was pleasant and professional. We had a really nice Cabernet from their varied wine list. And all this at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys good South Asian cuisine.

We’re currently driving away from Elephant Corridor and reflecting on what a lovely experience it was. The food is really something special, made with love and deeply delicious flavors. We just walked past and thought it looked like a nice place. We were very well looked after, with all of the staff taking pride in their job and providing incredible service. This is a must if you’re in the mood for Sri Lankan, Indian cuisine. I felt nostalgic of my times traveling through region. 5 stars. 🌟✨⭐️

Service was very bad. I booked a table for 8.30pm paid advance $80 for booking got the table at 9pm. 9.45 pm we received our entree. Then we were forced to order main course out of 9 people only 3 people had dinner. If you have provided table late then you can’t force people to have main course within 15 min. Shameful and very bad service. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there. Only 1 thing was great the girl Jasleen was great and helpful. Thanks for ruining the Birthday. Thank you for your bad service

Quality Sri Lankan food and reasonable portion sizes. Mocktails are good, liked the Falooda as well. The drinks could have been served a bit earlier before the entree. The salt and pepper calamari was really good. The lamprais was presented differently and the fried egg was missing compared to the traditional meal. The devilled chicken had a different kick to it than the usual you get anywhere not the typical. Kotthu is nice and flavoursome and have got a good rotti to meat mix. The Waiting staff is friendly and has knowledge on the food and recommendations. Can book tables online. Will be back to try the other dishes when around the area.

Went to this place on Friday at 8:30 pm. Booking is recommended as it’s a busy restaurant. We felt the service was really slow and a bit disappointing, it took almost 45mins for our entree and mains and with the time gap of 45mins our drinks (lion strong and resolution) were served by the time we finished our entree, as the kitchen was being closed we felt the wait staff were trying to rush us out. Coming to the food. The food was really tasty and will definitely come back for the food. For entree we had Tandoori chicken and Tandoori Mushrooms. Both the dishes were really delicious. For the mains we had Green jackfruit curry, Red Prawn Curry (Rathu Isso) and kukul Mas(chicken curry) with some roti and garlic naan. The food was incredible, if you like to experience various flavour this is a must visit place. This place has One of the best Red Prawn Curry I ever had in the Melbourne. The food served at this place made up our mind for the disappointing service. I did give the feedback to the lady manger and she received the feedback and did apologies. Overall a nice experience with the food.

Elephant Corridor has to be an incredible Sri Lankan Restaurant. Being a food enthusiast, I really do not mind travelling a distance for good food. This restaurant was first recommended to me by my family 3 months ago but I live in Brisbane. I finally managed to get a break to be in Melbourne and I definitely had to try this place out, and I am glad that we did! Despite the 1 hr 40 minutes drive from Melton, we reserved a table and made our way toElephant Corridor. Reservation was very easy and the staff were very helpful (even over the phone!). At the restaurant, the staff were very polite and extremely professional (kudos to the staff training-excellent customer service!). Food order was quick (via QR scan) and I must say the menu items was a great deal to choose from. The food preparation was very quick and efficient and the wait time was less than 10 minutes. The food: We are Fijians of Indian decent and we love our spice! The food was very generous with it's spices and we enjoyed everything (PS: If you do not like too much spice/heat there are mild and medium options but we specifically chose 'hot' as an option for almost all our selected items off the menu). The food was very authentic, aromatic and had a lot of taste! The items are also considerate about Gluten Free options, this also was a contributing factor to choose this restaurant as my mom has celiac and can not take food with gluten. Personal recommendations (best for this Melbourne winter): 1. Lamb Vindaloo 2. Sri Lankan Devilled Chicken 3. Green Jack Fruit Curry (vegetarian) 5/5 to everything that we ordered but these three dishes were the best! The overall ambience of the restaurant is incredible too and the friendly staff make things even better. It has a great vibe and it feels great to sit and enjoy good food with your loved ones. Having travelled more than 18 countries, Elephant Corridor is definitely one of my favourites now. I would absolutely recommend this place!

Cool atmosphere. Food is good and has a good selection. But needs more spice for authenticity. Was a little disappointed by the lack of spice.

Good food. Ridiculously pricey though. Can't really justify paying $32 for a Butter chicken - it's not all THAT great! Service is getting more and more disappointing. Ordered food for a 5.30 pickup on Saturday evening for dinner at 6pm but after 30 minutes was forced to leave as we had guests waiting. Embarrassing. Was reassured each time we enquired that the meal was "5 minutes away". As for the in-house dining experience - I felt badly for the patrons who had to put up with 70s disco music blaring through the restaurant! Crazy! Get back to basics guys - it's not only about the money. You're too pretentious. For those who don't mind the drive, try Bombay by Night on North Road ... utterly brilliant and genuine with both their food and service and pricing.

A fantastic lunch experience with delicious cuisine and impeccable service! I opted for the vegetarian curry, and although I initially expected it to be accompanied by rice, the waiter kindly informed me otherwise. I chose to accompany it with naan, resulting in a wonderfully crispy pairing with the curry. I decided on a mild spice level, which turned out to be just perfect. It complemented the meal with a mocktail, equally delicious. I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic service and the Northern Indian 3 course was fabulous, we loved all the dishes, so much food! It was a very special occasion for us, and the service was top class and very attentive. The owner even dropped by to have a quick chat. Loved all the personal touches and attention. So glad my son recommended, and I'm glad we agreed. We were a group of 6. Only fault, music was a bit too loud, so we found it hard to talk across the table. Great night, great food, excellent service. Thanks again

Had a horrible experience yesterday (14/02/24). First of all, when we made the booking, there was no mention of a special fixed menu. That would have been fine if there were options for pescatarians / vegetarians, but we had to stick to the menu. At $55 per person, the menu and the quantity was not worth it. Was basically rice and curry. The food as usual was good, but just not worth it. The service was horrible. Only one of the wait staff had a smile on her face. The management and the kitchen was not organised. The reason they gave for having a fixed menu was for a faster service, but we waited for almost one hour after the first course to get the main course. Some people who arrived after us and got the first course after us, got their main course before we did. We had to cancel our plans to go get dessert because it was so late. At the end of it, they charged us for a 3 course meal although we went for the 2 course meal. They took another 20 mins to fix that.

Well.. The people have real Indian Food.. compare to this .. Curry Beef - ⭐️⭐️🌟 Yellow Rice - ⭐️⭐️ Don’t think so to recommended taste.. I thought the yellow rice had a special fragrance.. It felt a bit peculiar.. It feel got pieces few slices of beef with sourness.. But anyway I was very hungry..

A solid favourite for a reason! The new chefs selection menu was incredibly delicious and so well priced, even allowing for leftovers. Cherry on the top was the Taylor Swift exclusive playlist!

Food is not good for the value. All the dishes are very sweet, looks like they use sweet chill , sugar. When you are dine in you will get charge the plates too. I never seen this any where. I don’t think I will go there anymore Very disappointed!

This was one of the best place to go for Sri Lankan food, but not anymore. We ordered authentic Sri Lankan fried rice. It did not have the Sri Lankan taste. I had been to this place years ago and it was the best at that time. But I would not recommend this place anymore for Sri Lankan food. The service of the staff was superb, so I am giving the star for them

Interesting sri lankan cuisine dining experience. Crab curry and cashew curry were something very new to me (my first time hearing abt crab curry), both were delicious, highly recommended. Cocktails and mocktails were spot on👌🏻👌🏻

Ordered chicken "Kukul mas" dish to take away. I had this several times before and was excellent. This time unfortunately, curry was ok and tasted good but the chicken pieces felt like straight out of freezer and dipped into the dish. No taste at all. Understand the lockdown and slow sales but, please keep-up the quality if serve. Not happy this time.

I ordered Lamb Biryani and Chicken Kukul Mas and Garlic Naan for takeaway. The garlic Naan was amazing as it smells really nice and yummy. The chicken Kukul was a bit too spicy for me but was fine for my friend. Also it went well with Naan. For the biryani not too bad but a little bit dried in my opinion.

Hi team Thank you for the wonderful experience. What joyful staff you have. The simplest and honest of mistakes that was such a gorgeous save by the team. My friends totally love the dishes and were so very famished. Defintely will be back again. Thank you Gerard and the team

Great welcome from front of house to our booked table and were given option of other tables for 2 that were free. Attended to promptly by waiter for drinks and food order, and then served our dinner and looked after during dinner by Likitha who was friendly, proactive, and with a fabulous smile. I watched as she promptly served courses to all tables, and in between wiped crockery and polished cutlery, a hard worker with an excellent work ethic. In my experience, this is not easy to find these days. All staff worked well together and the number of full tables and turned over tables is a testament to the restaurant’s popularity and commitment to the customers they serve. Food was okay, but not the best I’ve had and definitely on the higher price than I would normally pay. Thank you. FB
