This place never disappoints. I always make my own bowl with tuna minced and chunks. Presentation is always great.

I got a blended chunkie, no where near smooth as you see in the picture. It's not the blender technician fault. The equipment she was provided wasn't good at all...apparently. Then, I notice something that would violate city health codes!!!! I am no expert but..... NONE OF THE WORKERS DEALING WITH FOOD HAD HAIRNETS, GLOVES OR A MASK. I know how you all feel about masks, but how would you feel, if your order was being prepared and the worker was talking over your food?!?!? 🤮🤮🤮 As a customer, I am urging this location to do better. Owners or managers, check the tape if you think I am not giving proper criticism. Have a better day and be well.

The young lady who worked tonight Sept 7 until closing was literally the best, I wish I asked her name. I was having a really sh*tty day and she definitely changed that. Kindness goes a long way! She was very patient with me, the food here is always great but it seemed to taste better lol and her presentation of it was great. I created a poke bowl and got the kale mango sorbet with granola and fruit. Overall I enjoyed my experience and she definitely made my day . Stay amazing Queen!

Very yummy bowls..with fresh and rich ingredients! Great customer service and experience. Rutgers student discount is a big incentive.. 💯 ✅ Definitely recommend the Acai and Coconut bowl. Lemonades are fresh and amazing!!

Yum!! First time trying this place and it was great! The staff was all super friendly, the place was clean and the portion size for the Poke was large. Definitely satisfying! The soft music and decor gave a nice chill vibe. I recommend for sure.

The best poke bowl place in NJ! Fresh Coast has a wide variety of options for their bowls and always manages to be filling and satisfying. I’ve tried many other poke places, but Fresh Coast keeps me coming back. They also have a wide selection of delicious fruit and veggie based drinks/acai bowls. In one instance where an order didn’t meet my expectations the owner, Scott, made sure to make things right which I very much appreciated. The workers are very attentive and helpful as well. Will definitely keep coming back!

This is my second time going to Fresh Coast and I am pleased once again. I got a chicken/tofu teriyaki poke bowl yesterday and it was beyond amazing. Today I got a pitaya/coconut bowl and it was to die for. The girl who attend us was so pleasant and kind. My new favorite place to go to now

Excellent eating experience.. from walking in the door and being greeted by staff!!! I ordered a poke bowl that HIT the SPOT!!! which was recommended to me by the friendly Server! Entire staff was very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this place because the food is fresh and tasty!! Great VIBES!!

I have had so many issues with this restaurant recently but I wasn’t going to say anything. However I ordered two salads and they BOTH had hair in them. I also ordered their chia pudding one time and it had gone bad, it tasted like soap!

The last time I went the young lady making my order was so slow to get to me I almost left. I was the only customer waiting to be serviced and I had to wait 10 minutes before she even acknowledged my presence. Next as she was making my food she had her gloves on but proceeded to move a large piece of her hair from in face and then with that same hand dug into the raw ingredients for my shrimp 🍤 bowl. I didn't say anything because I had waited so long to be seen to make her do it again, because to me the salad was now contaminated, would have been another 20 minute ordeal. She had zero sense of urgency and moved with pace of mamed animal. I absolutely love the product they serve but they need a staff that doesn't cross contaminate food and moves with actual urgency so you don't lose customers.

So I normally bring lunch to work but today I forgot and had the opportunity to try Fresh Coast. It was delivered by Grubhud it was fast. I had the Biggie Poke Bowl..which you build your own...I opted for the salad base, everything was fresh and they give you a healthy serving of protein. I will definitely keep this spot on the list for a good Poke Bowl.

I wish there was on in MD!!! My daughter’s college campus is near and since I was visiting I like to try different açaí bowl places when out of town. I got açaí and kale base, extra peanut butter, the works. What I absolutely LOVED was the layering. Omg and the granola on the bottom just 🤌🏾🤌🏾. I went two days in a row while in town lol. I have been trying bowls from all around for a while now and this place is at the top of my list, stepping over one of my favorite hometown places 😫. It is what it is lol! Great Açaí bowls!

I’ve had two items from here and both delicious! The chia puddings and the avocado toast are delish! Everything is usually made in a timely manner and the people are friendly. Looking forward to exploring more of the menu.

Great poke spot! Would recommend building your own bowl if you want more bang for your buck. If you get overwhelmed easily then just go for a pre-made selection. Downside is no public bathroom but the food is good and fresh and the staff were friendly! We tried the poke nachos which were HUGE. Enough for a whole meal for sure or shared between 3 or 4 people as an appetizer. Check this spot out!

Ordered delivery here on a whim because I wanted something healthy! Huge portions for the salads and everything was fresh and delicious. Also had the avocado toast and that usually doesn’t travel well but this one did. Will for sure be ordering from here again.

This place is awesome the food is fresh and tastes amazing. I got the spicy tuna roll bowl and it was amazing 😍 Food is quick and the place is clean. 10/10

My rice was still RAW and the food has gone downhill. This used to be a great restaurant. I use to order from them often but the last few times I’ve been it just seems to be getting worse and worse.

During my visit to Fresh Coast, I experience good customer service; aside from employees being friendly, an employee helps me find a nice filling Vegan snack, Chia Pudding, which I find super filling and tasty especially with pineapple bits and peanut butter drizzle. The atmosphere is chill. The establishment takes different forms of payment.

Walked in right before closing and did not think this would taste as good as it did ! The flavors were soo good & the vegan sauce had a kick of spice ! Only con was I wish they had a wider selection of healthier drinks

Absolutely LOVED the food here!! Wow! Delicious!! Our group had a variety of foods from the menu between us all and not one thing was shy of fantastic! The quality of each ingredient was very good and the portions were perfect. The combination of flavors was well thought out. If you wanted to alter the original recipe at all, the staff asks you, and you can change the ingredients to your taste. The owner was there and we talked with him, and he was so kind and pleasant. A lovely and tasty experience for our first time in Newark, and all of us in our group decided without a doubt that, should we be back in the area, we would come back to this exact restaurant to eat over and over again!! Thank you FRESH COAST!

Best poke around. They give you the best bang for your buck. Huge bowls with fresh tasting food. They even offer discounts for students. Wish the other location was still open since it was closer to me.

It’s this one girl that work there, if you want your bowl done right ask for her, sweet African American girl usually wears a hat, multitasker, fast paced, always in a great mood. I came today and she was making my order along with 3 other women orders by herself. It was a guy in the back but he wasn’t as much help and even after being so busy She kept a smile. Give that girl a raise!! Good job

This place is my Favorite place to EAT!!!! The OWNER himself delivered my food to my house. I feel so special, that he decided to go out of his way to deliver my food to me. Thank you so much, I truly appreciate the Owner and his business. They have the best Fresh Food and I am grateful that I found this place.

Usually, I love the food and service. Typically, I’m in an out. I must have come at an extremely busy time. I had to change my order twice. They ran out of cooked shrimp for both my Zen bowls. Very frustrating! Also, ran out of the orange sherbet for the mango smoothie. All in all my peeps enjoyed the smoothie and the 1 Zen bowl they were able to make. I will be back though. Please have cooked shrimp.

Great atmosphere and good selection of bowls. The food also tastes great as well! The only complaints I have is parking is a PIA (welcome to Jersey I guess) and they always seem to be out of something. First time I went it was large bowls, second time crab meat....other than that I'll still go back for a quality Poke bowl in the heart of Newark. They do it very well!
