The other day I ordered, Chris’s Texas Weiner South Orange, for lunch. I ordered their, Philly Cheesesteak Wrap, and man was it a real treat! Loved the accent of the pickle and the flavor of the coleslaw. The Philly Cheesesteak Wrap was fairly salty tasting, but very good all the same. The cheese negated the salty flavor in a way. Did not expect it to come with fries. Not a huge fry person, but ate all of them. The fries complimented the Philly Cheesesteak Wrap greatly. I usually would order breakfast items from, Chris’s, but so happy I got their lunch. My typical daily breakfast combo for Chris’s is their Taylor Ham, Egg, & Cheese, on a roll. With their Chicken Noodle Soup as the side! The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. I would HIGHLY recommend, Chris’s Texas Weiner South Orange, to anyone in the, South Orange, area looking for some excellent lunch food, AND/OR their breakfast items!

Love the vibes. But food could be better. Pancakes dry as hell. Coffee taste like water, butter taste off.. it could just be better. I cook. It ain't hard to make good breakfast. And on the days I decide not too. It should still be good.. It doesn't make no sense to go out to eat and get the cheapest of it all. Bacon had a smell. Like You're already making a good profit doing this u may lose more.

I love this diner. I live close by and I've been coming for years, and I've officially become a regular. Maria is such a sweetheart, and Jenna will ask after my wife and remember that I like my fries well done even if I forget to ask. It's a cozy, comfortable place with no pretensions. It's a small local diner with good coffee, hearty portions, and reasonable prices. I recommend the avocado omelette (add spinach!), the South Orange Short Stack, french toast, turkey club, hot pastrami sandwich, and Turkey Joe Club. The burgers are pretty good, but they are diner-style non Shake Shack-style, so set your expectations appropriately. The onion rings are excellent. I usually dine-in, but sometimes I call the restaurant for takeout: it's always quick and piping hot. I genuinely love this place, and I hope you do too!

I love this diner. I eat here with my family a few times a month. A couple of my friends are regulars too. The food is excellent and the service is usually great depending on who you get. There is one server there who is nice to customers, but nasty to the other staff. Every time I go there since she started a few months ago, she is always arguing with someone. Either the cook, the other servers, or the owners. Then she plays victim says everyone is picking on her though no one actually is. She even discusses her arguments she has with other staff with customers! She is unprofessional. No one else argues there and I have been going there for years. She is definitely the problem!!! I want to relax and enjoy the meal I purchased. Not listen to a server argue with then complain about her coworkers.

Pretty on point with their food as well as their service. The booths were kind of tight but the hearty portions made up for that

Coffee is bad. I need coffee not water with cream When the water is being poured I mean when the coffee is being poured you can see right through it it looks Brown it looks disgusting like that is so disappointing to go somewhere for coffee and food and it feels like you wasted your money because people are getting cheaper and cheaper with quality. Now u paying way more and less nothing just chew on a bean at this point

Inexpensive, best for breakfast. Quick service. Friendly staff.

I ordered steak and eggs. Medium rare and over easy. The eggs were over easy but the steak was medium well close to well done. No one came back to the table to check on me or ask how everything is. I paid and left. I will never back. Horrible service.

Love going here on Sundays for breakfast. It's a nice cozy diner. Place is always packed and the staff is very friendly. I always get a nice warm stack of pancakes😋

I had an absolute blast at Chris's Texas Wiener Family Restaurant! The food was delicious (I highly recommend the chili cheese fries), but what really made the experience was the lively atmosphere. The staff were all so friendly and fun, and the decor was full of quirky, vintage charm. I felt like I was transported back in time to a 1950s diner. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a fun hangout spot with friends, Chris's is the place to be.

The food was okay. I didn't get it exactly as I ordered. Not sure if it was due to waitress taking the order correctly or the cook preparing the food the way he wanted but the waitress was very attentive and pleasant.

This little dinner is really good, had the gyro omelette. The staff is very friendly and a lot to choose from on the menu. Will definitely be back. Out of towners can park in the garage across Vose Ave, there are free 2hr spaces. Pay attention to the signs.

I just wanted to leave a positive review this diner is impeccable the food is on point they follow the directions the driver is so nice The staff is so nice I recommend this to anybody who loves diner food and not just regular diner food I order everything from grilled cheese to Italian hot dogs to hot open turkey to breakfast I mean you can't beat it tens across the board honestly My name is John c from West Orange and I will continue to order from them as long as they're open God bless you all

If you ask nice, they let you cook your own food.

It was crowded when we went but the servers were doing their best to handle the crowd. Got our food in a timely manner and we enjoyed it.

I love this dinner so much the coffee is amazing and it’s fresh to there are no other dinners that have fresh coffee like them! The food was so good and the waitress are very nice and sweet they make me laugh and I feel so comfortable there.
