Sushi is delicious always a great time do call & make reservations because place does get packed!!! Highly recommend do the all you can eat sushi if dining in because you really get excellent choices from the whole menu THE MOST AMAZING ROLL IS CALLED THE EDDY I BELIEVE & WE ALWAYS GET THE FRIED KANI WHICH IS FRIED CRAB WITH A DIPPING SAUCE ON SIDE OMG WANT TO GO NOW JUST TALKING ABOUT THE PLACE HAHA I definitely highly recommend !!!

I went to the Acura dealership for my car to be serviced and I was told the sushi was good here, so I trying it. I was true, everything was good and tasted fresh. I don't know if it was normal but my seaweed salad had crab in and it was delicious. I hear it is also "All you can eat and BYOB...I didn't get a chance to experience that but I will definitely go back it I am in the area.

Met a buddy for dinner and did the all you can eat sushi. Sushi was absolutely delicious and fresh. Will definitely be back.

4/16/23 back for more... Still great (everything). FYI there is a great wine & beer store just down the road (West) for your BYO.... An easy 5 minute walk. 11/26/22 been back several times but I've slacked off with my updates here. Well, things are still really good. Sushi is fresh and service still really good. I used a thermos to bring in my hot saké (worked great). Summer 2019: We've been coming here for a few years. BYO is such a bonus :) nice staff and usually quick service. The food has been fresh and we love the all you can eat option. (Really, that is the main reason to come here). At 3p on a Sunday... Everyone else has gone and we are the only ones here ..... So nice and quiet. Wish they had yellowtail on the sashimi portion of the AYCE menu... But they have it on the sushi part... The BBQ squid is nice as is the shumai. My GF loves it here. Ok, it's an hour later and we are still here... Eating... We are up to 5 tiger rolls!! Plus all kinds of other stuff... Lol .. so good. We are getting ice cream too- of course traffic is bad going back into NYC... We may eat more ;)

Very good all you can eat, byob sushi restaurant! It can be very busy, but finally got in there on a Sunday afternoon with a bottle of savignon blanc and went to town. Did all you can eat (of course) and what's great about this place is that you can order side dishes as a part of the experience (see my menu pictures). The sushi itself is actually quite enjoyable! Although I probably got a bit to much.... important point onq that, they enforce the $1 per piece left on the plate penalty, if you leave more than 3 pieces on the plate. As you can we see paid it. (LOL) but it was well worth it. Gripes: spring rolls were not very good, Wasabi wasn't very spicy at all, service was a bit awkward at the end when they saw we left sushi. I told them I didn't care that I had to pay more for sushi left and it felt like they wanted me to eat the sushi more than just pay - I was kinda like, just get the check please. Prices were very reasonable and you will 100% get your money's worth no matter what you order. That being said would definitely go again! Overall I give this place a 3.4 out of 5.

Great place for sushi. Food delicious and they come out really fast. The service not the best because they have attitudes,especially if you keep ordering but oh well I'm gonna eat until I can't move lol.

This is the best sushi buffet in New Jersey in our opinion. The service is quick and efficient, the sushi delicious and fresh, and the appetizers are so good - better than some restaurant's main courses. Go there once, I guarantee you'll go back!

Absolutely horrible, I don’t even know what I ate but that was not chicken. If it had anything inside at all. Most pieces were only breading. I can’t see how this place has over a 3.5 overall. It wasn’t just one thing either.

Service is fantastic, menu selection is quite large on the all you can eat menu. Food quality is fantastic, some of the best sushi I have had ever. Price is reasonable too. Would highly recommend to just about anyone.

Cute little place, pictured is the Spicy Girl (spicy salmon, spicy tuna, spicy yellowtail w. tobiko on top) and Edison Roll (shrimp tempura, spicy tuna inside, spicy crab outside) it was delicious, and also had the edamame which was perfectly salted.

I ordered teriyaki chicken. They give me more than I expected. The food is very fresh and delicious. I will definitely order again whenever I am around the area.

This is the second time we have gone here. I will never go back to this restaurant again. The service was terrible the first time and even worse the second. We were charged 20% for a tip since we were 6 people. I spoke to the owner, he said… since it was busy they had to charge a 20% tip. It’s quite clear to me, that the waitress already knows she’s getting a good tip, so she has free rein to roll her eyes, ignore our questions and toss the food on the table. It blows my mind that even after explaining this to the owner, he still insisted on charging us a fixed tip. The word “tips” means….To Insure Proper Service …. And that, we did NOT get!!!! Don’t waste your money!!

The service here is atrocious. The waitresses are so nasty and basically throw the food at you. When you ask them a question they roll their eyes at you. Tonight we went as a party of 6 and they included 20% tip on the bill because it was a “large party” yet they don’t tell you that until you get the bill. Every restaurant I’ve been to charges for a party 8 or more not 6. And upon saying something to the owner he couldn’t care less he wouldn’t take it off.

We love East Gate! It's a great neighborhood eatery that has a terrific menu! Chinese and Japanese items are all fabulous. We opt for the all you can eat sushi menu with a nice variety of both hot and cold items. We're never disappointed. I highly recommend this place! Oh! Plus it's a bring your own bottle, saving you money on drinks! win/win.

This is the best place to eat Asian food! I've been searching for a good asian food and I am so glad to find this one, the food was amazing, everything clean and the service is amazing everyone was polite ! DEFINITELY will comeback, I would give more than 5 stars if I could!

Service is quick and very friendly. Food is served in a timely manner no matter how busy they are. Portions are big enough to share on many dishes. The all you can eat is great if you have hungry kids that like Japanese food. 👍

Recommend: chicken yakitori Do not recommend: anything with tempura flakes We went for the all you can eat The chicken yakitori was quite delicious. I was also a fan of the pumpkin tempura bit although not all the tempura was as good -shrimp tempura was on the overcooked and bland side but wasn't objectionable. Everything else we ordered was fine, neither standing out or disappointing other than the tempura flakes being quite stale.

Food was very good. It was my first time there. My son and I had the All-you-can-eat Sushi. Portions and taste were very good. Place was clean. I do have to comment on the service. It would help tremendously if the waiters had a little better attitude. They made you feel like you were bothering every time you asked them for something. They weren't customer friendly. Despite this, I would return to the place

The all-you-can-eat option is good for sushi and the other menu of mostly fried foods. The sushi was fresh, but perhaps not the best sushi I’ve ever tasted, but it is pretty good for an all-you-can-eat sushi place. The tempura they had on the other all-you-can-eat menu was pretty good. The service was pretty good and prompt, so no complaints there. It was a little bit noisy in the restaurant as the tables are pretty close together. All in all, if you’re looking for an all-you-can-eat sushi place, I would recommend this restaurant.

For the price (very inexpensive) the food and service are amazing. I come here just for certain dishes because it’s the best I ever had. My family eat more variety and it’s all good.
