I give it 5 stars 🌟 for fun! In the area for an appointment with my 6yo, she was thrilled! All kids were smiling and enjoying the train. Food is fun food, burgers, dogs, nugs, and a few more choices including chili.

Kids loved the train. Dynamite malt. Below average hot dog. Friendly staff. Be prepared to wait for a half an hour over the lunch hour during summer months...very popular lunch spot.

This place has sentimental value to me so I will do my best to not be bias. Everybody has to remember location location location. These guys had it in mind. It was next to a train track platform where you can get off and indulge. Bathroom (men's) needs a baby changing station. It is also a is a single person bathroom. The food was well over priced but good tasting. One jumbo hot dog with nothing on it was 8$...... I was expecting half of that. Met one of the owners, very good guy. He was training new employees (they did great). All of them made the environment friendly. The pictures were of the main points which would be the train's, my children will love it. They do birthday parties as well that I witnessed. Very family oriented.

Great fun for kids but man is the food bad. The whole place rids on the train gimmick and that fine. I just wish that had something that was not previously frozen

My son loved the atmosphere and being able to see real trains cruise by aside from the toy models delivering food. They were attentive and fast which helps with children of course. The shakes were great and the good old fashion burgers as well.

2 Toots is an AWESOME experience. This isn’t gourmet. This isn’t fancy. This is exactly what you want it to be… fun for your kids and a decent chargrilled cheeseburger while you’re at it. The servers are very friendly, and attentive and cater to the kids. The menu is small and easy. The place is fun, and clean, and maybe a little loud, but who cares. Set your expectations appropriately and you’ll have a great time!

I love the old-timey diner theme and the food was amazing! 10/10 would love to eat here again.

Cute place for my train loving boy. It was busy but we were seated in a very reasonable amount of time. The food was good but not great. Felt like they could take the train thing a lot further, but my little loved seeing the train come around with everyone's food. We had 5 adults and 2 toddlers and squeezed into one booth to avoid having to sit at two. The setup is cool with the train but not great for large parties.

I wish I could give this place a 5 star review. The food is good (even some healthy options for adults), the staff is super nice, the concept is amazing! My boys loved it. But I was disturbed by a restaurant using single use plastics to serve its customers that are eating in. Even when I asked for a refill of the apple juice, I gave back the empty plastic cup and straw, however it was thrown away by the waiters and I was just given a new one instead. This disappointed me and I don't want to be supporting this in the future. I hope the management can change these practices as the restaurant is so wonderful besides that.

Service was fast. Food delivery via the train was fun, but loud. After a while it does feel like the train is in your head. Food was ok, wish it was better. Burger was a bit bland. Better tasting food, quieter train, and updates to decor would make me a repeat customer.

Great experiance every time I have taken my kids. Kids absolutely love it with the train and dessert served to them by the model train. Staff is very kind and the food is reasonably priced. Great for the whole family.

Went on a Friday night. Arrived just after 5. Had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, but there were a few open spots at the counter. After we were seated, a long line formed waiting for tables. The restaurant was very busy, and I would say some families had to wait upwards of 30 minutes for a table. However, great atmosphere, especially for young children. Just a small place with maybe only 8 or 9 booths and maybe 15 counter chairs, probably not suitable for small or young children. Basic diner food, a little on the greasy side. Super busy on Friday, might be less busy on week days. Would definitely come back. Easily accessible by taking metra train as well.

Patty was our server to start then 2 others took over because I believe she went on break. Had three kids meals all hot dogs with french fries and an adult's cheeseburger and fries. For dessert one chocolate ice cream to strawberry ice creams. Everything was delicious pricing was reasonable kids love the train and the horse. The owner was even there & passed out a quarter or 2 to each kiddo. It was very sweet. The kids enjoyed the surprise lunch stop. I enjoyed eating tasty healthier fresh food that doesn't come in a box.

My two year old enjoyed this place!! But food was not good. If we go back again I think we would just go for dessert and eat our actual meal elsewhere. Booths are very tight, not much room between seat and table. Super cute idea though.

The staff last night were so amazing! My family walked in last night not realizing what time it was. After the waitress sat us down we realized they were closing up. I apologized and offered to go elsewhere so as to not inconvenience them. Everyone working told us to stay and it was no problem. They made sure my son enjoyed a delicious burger and ice cream for his birthday. He said it was the best burger he's had in awhile. 5 ⭐ to the staff for making us feel welcome and not rushing us out.

This is the cutest place for kids. Even if you want some good eats the food is great! Nice big portions very friendly staff and Kaitlyn is amazing she goes above and beyond soo your kids and families feel welcome and have a good time while eating there. Definitely will recommend

The employees were very very kind. The manager snapped at one of the kind and helpful waitresses. It was kind of sad. The cheese burger was good. You can taste the difference of the grass fed beef, which I thought was pretty cool. We also ordered an Oreo milkshake. It was yummy, we all shared it and enjoyed it. There is an O scale train that runs around the counter and they use it to serve the baskets of food you ordered. It's kind of fun to watch it go around. The place is probably set up to entertain kids, but it's pretty okay for adults to. I did see a few adults without kids. Thank you.

Helpful and attentive waitstaff even when they are super busy. Yummy food and treats. Fun atmosphere for any train fan, enjoyable for the whole family, from the 50’s diner music, train deco, model train food delivery, counter service and booths, kid friendly drink selections (several caffeine-free options!), stocked and ready with ketchup and mustard, with adult fare. Kraft macaroni and cheese is one of the kids meal options! Be sure to sign up your kids for the birthday club to get a postcard for a free kids meal AND birthday treat (brownie, rice crispy, cupcake, or ice cream) to enjoy during their birth month. Highly recommended!

If you have young kids, this is the place to go! With a nostalgic vibe, this place is conveniently located. Their menu is mainly all American food, but the flavor is good. Food is delivered in the little train, which makes the experience even more memorable for little ones

Our kids loved it here. I was amazed by how close it was to the real train station, too! Service was very warm and friendly as well. Food was pretty much your standard American style. The oreo milkshake was awesome though!

The kids love this restaurant! They have a blast watching the toy train pass by the tables with food on the trays. The restaurant is by the train station, so we get to watch real trains pass by. The little ones really enjoy that. Your child gets a free meal and dessert for their birthday, so make sure to sign up on their website ahead of time to get the coupon in the mail.

Lots of fun with our 3 year old grandson! Hot dog was average. Good hamburger, and the chicken sandwich was juicy. Great onion rings french fries were ok. Someone was celebrating a birthday and that was fun!

Just so unique and fun! My little kids giggled the whole time. It was clean, friendly, and the cheese hamburgers were great! They were thin, smashed patties. The chili was ok. They have a lot of booster chairs. And new the real train travels by, you can feel the rumble! My kids liked that too.

Cute place to bring the family for a unique setting. Located right by the real train tracks, this restaurant delivers its food on a miniature train that runs in a circle around the restaurant. Good burgers and hot dogs. Great shakes and friendly service. Definitely a memorable stop.
