I love Columbia and especially the Factory Store. My husband and I go here often to buy our hiking, fishing and other outerwear. This weekend I had the worst experience I've ever had there. 5 staff members were all huddled around the cash register talking and on their phones. There was 0 customer service. I asked a staff member where the fitting rooms were and she pointed to them but didn't offer to open a room for me. In fact none of them went to open a room even though all the doors are locked. I left all of my items and left the store. I have been seeing this happen in more and more stores that I go to. I guess online shopping is the way to go now.

Store was nice and the deals were good but staff is the reason i will NOT be returning to the store. My brother had flown in from china and purchased jackets for his family. He had a 25% coupon and tried to go back to the store to return the jackets and use the coupon but was refused. Absolutely ridiculous. He had even spoken on the phone with the same lady prior to driving all the way from Westminster to Castle Rock. Will not shop here due to the ridiculous policies.

Deals are probably 4 stars but staff I would rate a zero if it was possible. Imagine this scenario - you’re looking at a sale rack. Didn’t pull anything off the rack, just sliding things and looking. The young girl staff member on the other side of the rack says to you “please make sure you push anything you look at all the way back in”. I replied, “okay - I haven’t pulled anything out really”. She comes over and pushes one garment back in one inch and says “it keeps the store more organized”. I reminded her that I was not paid to keep the store organized, she was and left. As a normal human, I would never intentionally disorganize a store but I have NEVER been asked to basically not look at clothing by a store employee in my life. Again, this is your job. Not mine. My goodness.
