***Arrow A Hygiene Hell, Amenities Disaster, and Cockroach Infestation** My recent visit to arrow was an absolute nightmare in terms of cleanliness. The room was riddled with mold spots, and everywhere I looked, there were hairs from previous guests – on the sheets, towels, and even in the bathroom. In addition to this hygienic horror show, the supplementary facilities were also a failure. The sauna was downright disgusting and seemed to have never undergone a proper cleaning. The pool had broken tiles, and the only attempt at maintenance was the removal of leaves, far from adequate. The fitness room was a joke, with only 5 machines and a meager selection of 6 weights. As if that wasn't enough, there was also a full-blown cockroach infestation. These unwelcome guests seemed to be everywhere, turning the overall experience into a complete nightmare. The lack of interest from the reception and the frequent malfunction of the elevator only added to the misery. Hotel Arrow is far from a welcoming place. If you value cleanliness, decent amenities, and avoiding cockroaches, I would strongly advise against booking here

The room was tiny for the price. It was also pretty dirty. The carpet looked and felt like it hadn't been vacuumed in months. One bedroom was essentially a cupboard with a bed in it. No room to even move around it. The key cards for the rooms and lifts were useless. Had to see reception multiple times as the cards stopped working. The two nights we stayed there, there were loud arguments each night around 4am about drugs and the staff didn't care. The staff didn't seem to want to be there and didn't really want to help with anything. The balcony barely had space for one person due to a poorly placed air conditioning unit. Definitely not worth the price for the family suite

Did not have the room available we had booked for 6 months due to overbooking. Gave us one with one bed for three people when we had booked for a 2 bedroom apartment with a single bed and double bed. Now one of us has to sleep on a couch. They are still making us pay the same amount and refusing to refund. All hotels in the area are booked for this combination and they told us they will cancel our booking if we don’t take the room and pay the full amount, and it’s too bad. Absolute joke of an establishment and every single person in the line to check in had the same issue with their bookings not being found and rooms being swapped to less than what they had booked. Edited to add: when we got in the room, there was blood on the wall and hair over the bathroom floor. It had clearly not been cleaned. Then, they gave us a couch cushion to use as a pillow and an old quilt with no cover for the guest who had to sleep on the couch. The staff had no idea what they were doing and conveniently, the ‘manager’ was off work and no where to be seen.

I wish you could give no stars because that's what this place deserves!! We booked our room months in advance, twenty minutes before we arrived they sent an email saying they had to cancel our booking. We didn't see the email because we were in the car driving so when we arrived we found out they had cancelled our booking. After a few moments of us being shocked and trying to take that in the clerk, seemingly reluctantly, said he could find us another room in another hotel and that it would take 10-15 minutes for him to do that. After waiting for AN HOUR with no update I got on my phone and found another room in a hotel 5 minutes away, when I went up to speak to them about it they firstly ignored me, then later said that room wasn't available. My friend called the hotel and confirmed the room was available, it was then we found out that they were trying to find a room at the same price we had paid them,... at the last minute, in Melbourne Central. Impossible. They didn't offer to cover part of the cost of the new hotel, or anything else and seemed annoyed that we didn't just leave and expected them to do something to help us out. We were out of pocket hundreds of dollars because they had no idea how long the refund for the room they cancelled on us would take, we're still waiting on the refund so it had better come through. And then to top it all off we later received a phone call from the booking agent asking why we cancelled, the hotel had told them that WE cancelled the booking, we were more than happy to provide the email showing that the hotel cancelled not us. Disgraceful service, not a single good thing to say about them. Run. Run far away from this place.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this outstanding hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff's warm welcome set the tone for an exceptional experience. The rooms were impeccably clean and well-appointed, offering both comfort and modern amenities. The hotel's central location made it convenient to explore the surrounding area. Overall, my stay was a perfect blend of luxury, convenience, and hospitality. I wholeheartedly give it a well-deserved 5-star rating.

I’m not one to leave a review but this has got to be one of the dirtiest places I’ve stayed in so I would avoid staying here at all costs. The images online are nothing like the rooms in person - they are dirty, the walls have marks all over them and look like they have never been cleaned, the bathroom was mouldy and the grout on the floors is black. When you walked into reception, there were drug affected people sitting in the lobby and loitering around the entries and exits. Definitely not a safe and welcoming environment.

"Budget accommodation" With emphasis on the budget. The room was tiny, there was a hole in the wall, the kitchenette had no cups, glasses or mugs. The bathroom was clean, but not really. It looked nothing like what it did on the website. Whole place had a weird vibe I've stayed in nicer backpackers hostels

If I could give 0 stars I would. In the middle of the night someone came in to my room turning the night off then running out once I responded. I obviously got no sleep as I was very anxious that someone was going to come in or someone with ill intent would come in. I told them whilst checking out and they said they would respond but I have sent multiple emails with no response. I am completely applauded. This on top of the fact that the room was dirty, blinds that don't work and bright lights from the car park next door I would not recommend this place to anyone.

The apartment was in a convenient location but that was about the only positive thing. My room had lots of minor damage which I wouldn't normally be bothered about until there was an issue with returning my bond (which for the record was not mentioned at all until I checked in). Housekeeping did not come at all during my stay which meant that by the end the bin was overflowing. When I tried to go for a swim I found cigarettes in and all around the pool which also clearly hadn't been cleaned in a while. Honestly this stay was not worth the money, I will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone.

It sounds like you had a fantastic experience at the hotel! I'm glad to hear that you're satisfied with the facilities, especially the air conditioning. Positive reviews like yours can be helpful for both the hotel and future guests. However, it seems like you mentioned "register" at the end of your message If you have a specific request or if there's something else you'd like to share, feel free to provide more details!

I wouldn’t normally leave a review but this place was disgusting, not just my room but the other peoples i was staying with. Bathroom had mould, there were cockroaches climbing up the walls and the room was extremely small where we couldn’t even fit out suitcases in one of the bedrooms definitely not at all what the pictures looked like. The walls were very thin, we could hear people unzipping their bag next door! Also the bedding was very thin and most people wore jackets to bed to keep warm. The day we checked in there were people passed out of the couches and some of the rooms booked were “under maintenance” which we were unaware of until we checked in. The location was the only good thing about this place, as it was right at a tram spot and a short walk into the cbd.

I recently stayed at this hotel and was thoroughly impressed with my experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The room was spacious and well-appointed, with all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was especially comfortable, allowing me to get a great night's sleep every night. The hotel's location was also fantastic, with easy access to local attractions and restaurants. I particularly enjoyed the on-site restaurant, which served delicious meals throughout the day. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in the area fabulous hotel

Everything, in particular the staff’s attitudes and unhelpful behaviour. The stay was absolutely horrible. First, we got into our room to find chocolate wrappers on the floor, the whole place stinking, a mouldy shower, and nothing had been cleaned. Then, upon using the air conditioner to cool down the room, we found that there were 2 aircons that leaked water everywhere. One, they very clearly knew about. In one of the bedrooms, the bed was pulled away from the wall… we assumed someone had vacuumed under it and forgotten to move it back… but obviously it was so the water didn’t leak all over the bed. Then, when my children went to go to sleep in that bed, it was drenched. My poor mum had to go to reception to ask for a new room, to which the person essentially told her he couldn’t do anything… eventually, after she said she would just leave and be refunded, a new room miraculously appeared. The staff didn’t help move anything from room to room, in fact, they refused to and my mum (who had our two young kids with her while we were at a concert) had to rely on two other GUESTS to help her move things. The new room is also disgusting, but seemingly not leaking. I will never be returning to this hotel. The rooms are disgusting, and the staff’s customer service and attitudes even more so. It’s absolutely unacceptable to give people a room KNOWINGLY with leaking air conditioners.

Check in was delayed, room had a really bad smell to it. Tv didn’t work. Used soap block left in the bottom of the shower Stains on walls (could easily be cleaned if someone cared) Disturbing stains on the carpet. It is in a very handy location, if the cleaning and upkeep was taken care of it would be somewhat comfortable. Unfortunately I won’t be back nor would I recommend

A hidden gem for budget-conscious travelers, this hotel provided excellent value for money. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. While not overly fancy, it offered a no-frills stay without compromising on quality.

A disgusting hotel , we booked a deluxe 1 bedroom that was a big as a shoebox. Could not get a suitcase in the bedroom as well a person, no blankets on the bed, after asking we were given a dirty quilt which we didn’t use. The boy on check in complained about having his break interrupted. Torn carpet near bathroom with a shabby mat over it. That was a trip hazard. Just overall disgusting. Only positive was the tram stop out front. Give this place a big miss.

This is probably worst accommodation I have stayed in, place was disgusting, not just my room but the other peoples i was staying with. Bathroom needed maintenance as it was not in good condition and shower was broken. the room was extremely small where we couldn’t even fit out suitcases in one of the bedrooms definitely not at all what the pictures looked like. The walls were very thin, we could hear people unzipping their bag next door! Also the bedding was very thin and most people wore jackets to bed to keep warm. Very unhygienic rooms and bedding- whole body felt itchy after laying on bed for 10minutes, balcony could do with proper cleaning. I would recommend people to book anywhere else- might even find an accommodation for cheaper which will satisfy you, don’t get fooled by the photos displayed.

The staff are not welcoming, they don't give any information about the facilities. The room is nothing like advertised. The advertised balcony is just a big window looking into some carparks. The hallway to our room smelt like poo water. The up sides: good hot shower, the bed is comfy. Also no smoking aloud on the "balcony" and when I asked where I could smoke they just kind of laughed at me. If your just looking for a place to sleep, this will do. If your looking to enjoy your self id stay elsewhere.

Absolutely awful communication from management. Doesn't look anything similar to pictures. Booked a 2 bedroom apartment for myself and my family. Arrived, the room smelled like cigarettes and had cigarette butts out on the balcony even though apparently non smoking. The room was a 1 bedroom apartment with a tiny "lounge" area and broken shutters. The size of the room didn't bother us as much as the smell of cigarette smoke. I requested a different room (ideally the 2 bedroom I had booked for the 4 of us) and one that didn't smell like cigarettes or have broken items that we could be blamed for. The lady on the desk asked if I would like to switch rooms after I mentioned the smell the first time, I said yes and carried on with our time in the city. Upon returning to the hotel at 8.30pm, I was informed there was no way of a change of room but they could put a trundle bed in the room. The tiny room would not have even supported the addition of a trundle bed. Trying to communicate with anyone from Arrow was a joke, I was hung up on and ignored. Booking.com also ran into the same issues as I did regarding communication. I would avoid staying at this location.

Excellent place to stay. Perfect location completely central to everything, plus a tram stop right out the front. Staff super helpful and friendly. Amenities where plentyful and convenient. The rooms where reasonably sized and cleaned very well. Bathroom was good, great water pressure in the shower and hair dryer provided. Overall very pleased with my stay here and I will be staying again. Thank you.

Photos are nothing like the actual room. There were paint patches absolutely everywhere, damaged bench tops, you could hear people from other rooms quite clearly. We booked for a 2 bdrm with 2 single beds in the 2nd room but got a double bed. The rooms are quite small. Because of the dates, the price was more than double the regular rate but the room certainly wasn't worth it. I don't intend to ever stay here again.

We had our room booked for over 6 months. Confirmed via email 2 days proir that we were going to be arriving late due to flights. Got to the hotel at 1am only to be told that our room was not available. But they would gave somewhere for us to sleep the night and our room was available the following night. Got given a storeroom (brothel suit) between the gym and the sauna with no key to be able to leave the room, no phone reception and peep holes above the bed that lead to the male public toilets. Spoke the the manager the following morning only to be told that they had no rooms and nowhere for us to stay.

After a long flight from Dubai I arrived at the hotel. I first had to wait for a guest to let me in because no one was at the desk. Then I went to my room and I found dirty mugs and glasses on the bench top, food in the sink and all the bins were full. I then went upstairs and there was a wet towel on the bed and the bed was not made. I called the reception and I had to carry my heavy luggage back to the reception and then back to my new room. Terrible experience and god knows why I was still charged.

Hi we got there Friday afternoon and sat down in the reception area and it was hot and humid. They had no ac in there. Our coach arrived and they said that we need to pay 100 for each room deposit but she got an email stated that she only needed to pay 100. So she got angry and we paid for the 100. We get to our rooms thinking about the pictures on the website but nope they were small and disgusting. Some had hair on the floor which was a cm thick, mold in the bathroom and carpets. I was sitting down on the futon and saw a mouse run from under the door in the kitchen and behind the fridge. I went down to reception and told them. They rang management and he told me to go back to my room. Them about an hour later aan knocked and he bought rat baits with him. He looked behind fridge and in the bedroom wardrobes for holes. I'm like why are you looking in there. The mouse came from the foyer. While I waited for the lift to my room I could smell marijuana coming from the carpark. Oh and we also had to pay $25 for a day to store our car so most of us paid 50. But I left Saturday night as one of my kids were crying and wanted to go home. They said they are going to build a sister hotel or buy one not sure. If I could this hotel no stars I would. Do not stay here as the rooms do not look like the pictures. Also had no hand towel and tea towel in our room. Next time I hope to stay with family .

Certainly! Here is a 5-star review for a hotel I recently stayed at this hotel and I cannot recommend it enough. It was truly a luxurious experience from start to finish. The decor and architecture were stunning and the attention to detail was second to none. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive and went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. The room was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. The hotel's facilities were top-notch, especially the fitness center, which were both outstanding. The location was perfect Overall, I had an absolutely fantastic stay and will definitely be returning to this hotel in the future.

The rooms are NOTHING like the photos, the room was that dirty we didn’t use the shower secondly because the towels were tougher than sandpaper. The price is a joke the halls ways smell so bad there’s no blackout curtains the sofa bed was that disgusting we put a doona over it because it was covered in stains. The room we reserved they told us they gave to someone else despite us being there two hours before check in. I will NEVER return to this place and I highly recommend that you don’t waste your money or time.

Was kind of apprehensive to stay here because of the reviews but was pleasantly surprised. Decent rooms (a tad run down but nothing to complain about), everything was clean. Just missing hand towels which we contacted service about and was resolved. The only thing to really complain about is the doors and noise. There were bands playing upstairs and quite a few people running around and yelling at midnight. The doors also close very loudly even when you close them softly. Staff were a little bit distant but nothing too bad.

The rooms are extraordinary incentive for cash and in a magnificent area. The staff rushed to help and simple to get to. The spacious apartment were comfortable and agreeable and felt like a confidential spot to remain for the 3 evenings we were there. Albeit the rooms were old, they were cleaned well and in general had an extraordinary stay!

We only stayed here for one night, but were surprised by the hotel. We had a huge bedroom with an enormous bath. Staff were friendly and pleasant. Overlooked the mosque and easy to stroll down through the shops. Billiards table-which my son enjoyed, not so sure about the Karaoke. Good restaurant-great buffet, though more expensive than I had expected. All in all-pleasant hotel stopver.

Hotel was stunning, we have been wanting to return for so long now. We also use the lounge bar a lot for cocktails and wine after a shopping day. We felt welcome from the time we checked-in at this place. The Asian lady who checked us in was very friendly, I think she is the manager. I forgot her name. The room that was assigned to us was small yet the price that we paid for was very reasonable. We were surprised as the place was clean, very far from the reviews that were posted here. We couldnt understand some crazy reviews that they were expecting a 5- star accommodation from few bucks that this place charged. Kudos to Arrow Swanston, we will definitely be back.

On first arrival, I was an hour early to my check in time but I was promptly assisted by the manager Kylee who offered to upgrade my room due to having booked a room with three singles instead of just a normal double bed. Kylees explaining of the facilities was exceptional and would highly recommend staying here as it was extra great value for money. I am a very satisfied customer.

Avoid at all costs You might be thinking about staying here because it’s fairly a inexpensive apartment product in a relatively good location. DO NOT and allow me to repeat myself DO NOT stay at this hotel, the rooms are revolting and the balcony doors do not lock leaving you ripe for robbery. I stayed here for a weekend with a couple of friends and while we were out at a football game our room was burglarised with an assortment of electronics and jewellery stolen. I’ve never seen a hotel in my life display such a wanton disregard for their guests safety and security. Trust me guys whatever money you save by choosing this hotel will not be worth it, please stay elsewhere.

Exceptional service. Stayed at the Arrow On Swanston Melbourne over the weekend and I was thoroughly impressed by the immaculate service. Check-in was fast and rooms were spacious in comparison to other competing hotels in Melbourne. The size of the room truly makes a big difference in my opinion. The service was the real outstanding part. All housekeeping staff showed a lot of patience. The pool area was my favourite.

Let me tell you guys, they are so unprofessional. If you want to enjoy your trip or maybe have a good environment to live you should put your money elsewhere but not here. The hold apartment smell like they have never cleaned 😀 so it's disgusting. You maybe need to wait for 2-3 hours because they don't have enough staff to do everything to check you in haha. If you speak with your normal voice 2 of the next apartment can join your conversation.

A decent place to stay. The room was nice, clean and decently sized. The location depends on your beds but it's a walking distance from most popular spots in Melbourne Their customer service is so-so at best. Ridiculous check in procedure with taking pictures of IDs - is it even legal? Don't have any problems with this hotel but don't see myself stating there again.

The place is pretty good located, the tram stop is in front the hotel. We had booked for two different dates and we spoke to the receptionist and she helped us finding a room For the whole time and she made our stay easier. A hot plate was broken but we used the another. I guess if we go back Melbourne we could book this hotel again. :)

Second time staying here, good for the price you pay especially for the location with the trams all near by. Last time we stayed used the  parking and was very worth it. Better than a other hotels in my opinion considering the kitchen. Will come back!

This hotel is absolutely horrible my dog sleeps in a better room than I was provided. The room had dents and in painted patches everywhere. Evidence of bed bugs on the mattress incredibly small and poky room. No facilities at all! The staff on check in were rude and actively ignoring a like of people wanting to get in. I attempted to turn on an air conditioner on an 33 degree very very humid day and it would not work. I even tried to self troubleshoot on the air conditioners website but all the faults were terminal. I contacted the front desk that this was the case. They were rude and they said they had no maintenance staff and I there was nothing they could do. I asked for a room change and they said they couldn’t do it. I asked for a part refund for the nights and they said they couldn’t do it. I don’t normally write reviews but this place is a health hazard and should be closed down. I will not recommend my dog to sleep here let alone a human.

These guys buy reviews, had a room and it was $150 per night so $300 for two nights, the toilet wasn't clean and there was matter of some kind of the door, the smell was disgusting so I went to the balcony to get some fresh air. The door didn't have a handle on the outside and I was locked out before I could realise. I do not recommend you stay here at all. I was waiting almost an hour to be checked in when I had shown up at 1:50, it was 3 by the time I got into my room to be awaited by the most putrid disgusting experience I've ever had staying in a hotel.

Hotel was stunning, we have been wanting to return for so long now. We also use the lounge bar a lot for cocktails and wine after a shopping day. The staff here are so friendly and the atmosphere is luxurious. High end art and books surrounds you in an opulent traditional area. The rooms are huge, some with balconies, and the welcome is beyond luxury. Well done.

The foulest smell that ever offended nostril. Upon check in we were directed to a completely seperate building than the reception. Dodgy. Then on arrival to the room we were greeted with a room the size of my suitcase and nothing like advertised. We were lucky to not contract something on the way up, as the halls and lifts are putrid. We requested room change after shower was just taking the piss and room was untidy. The second room was mirrored image and confirmed the filth. Save your money, tears and sanity.

First time staying at this wonderful hotel, arrow on swanston . Staff were very accommodating and friendly. The bed was super comfortable. Rooms were brand new and cleaned well everyday during our stay. Had the chance to enjoy the pool which really made the stay relaxing and enjoyable. This hotel is very convenient as you can explore the famous shops near the hotel. Being from WA, I was really able to enjoy the lifestyle there. Will definitely be back!

It’s a great place to stay.... Staff were friendly caring and pleasant, starting from the reception. Meals are very good and delicious... Rooms are warm while outside is very cool. Well maintained hospital. I highly recommend the hotel for locals and foreigners. I would probably choose Orient hotel next time as I have experience warm welcomes of the staff, excellent service and pleasantness of hotel crew.

The attention to detail, from the cozy bedding to the modern amenities, made it clear that the hotel prioritizes the comfort of its guests.

Magic stay at the Arrow on swanston. The place is amazing, the view from the suite, the design of the hotel... The beds in the suite are so comfortable, I never experience such quality bed sheets before. This reaches another quality level! The service is also excellent, you feel at home with lot of nice attentions. We could not have expected more! The swimming pool is wonderful with a nice view on the palm, very comfortable sun beds and nice ambiance. I ever had in a hotel with lot of choices, quality ingredients and very good service.i recommended this place
