This is not your stereotypical, cookie-cutter type Melbourne cafe. You are transported to a different part of the world upon entering. It feels like you are tucked into the cosy corner of an old European street. The pastries were divine. The coffee was beyond impressive, even the chocolate powder on my cappuccino was a pure cocoa powder. I'd happily get lost in a book here alone just as much as I'd bring a group of friends to catch up. I feel inspired to dabble in to my creativity here. Lovely spot. They transform in to a gin bar at night with over 50 types of gin. I might have to come back for that

Staff was friendly but I waited for a while outside and had to get in to order my coffee. Coffee was good. Limited food choice, mainly pastries and no freshly pressed juice. You have to ask for a key to go to the toilets. The outside bit is really nice, in the shade and away from the busy street.

Cute and cosy little spot for drinks. Came here after dinner next door and headed up to the little upstairs section with beautiful couches and ivy everywhere. The drinks were great but nothing beats the vibe.

I couldn’t fault the cosmo and I’ve had many 100s of cosmos! Baguettes are great too and friendly cat Gordon that looks like Garfield made an appearance! Thanks for a great night

The cafe is just besides Sydney Road. Ordered myself a mocha and an almond croissant. The mocha was genuinely good and the croissant, just yumm — melted in my mouth! Would definitely be visiting again!

Awesome coffee, the best staff and the most sensational cocktails in Melbourne! Gorgeous sitting outside in summer and upstairs in the snoozy surrounds over winter. Do yourself a favour and go visit!

My favourite café/bar/place! Michael makes the best bloody coffee in Brunswick (hands down!) and Mel, a killer Negroni. Everything at Bertoncello's, from the lattes to the cocktails, feels like it's been thoughtfully curated and prepared with purpose and care... which it usually has been. The space itself is warm and inviting and, as a regular, I feel like I've become part of the greater Bertoncello community, where I've met some of my favourite people in the world. There is something quite magical about it. Do yourself a favour and visit.

Absolute cracker of a Negroni and lovely friendly service, really good selection of gins for sale as well if your looking for a very well received present ! Keep an eye out for Gordon the cat , will beguile you with his fabulous looks and ability to ignore you in the most feline way.

A bar that transports you to Europe without leaving Brunswick!! One of my absolute favourite places tucked in a gorgeous no traffic laneway plaza. Mel makes divine cocktails and the gooey cheesey dish it to die for!

What a hidden gem! The moment I walked into Bertoncello's 1+ years ago, I was instantly transported back to Europe. Michael's consistently smooth coffee and Mel's delicious cocktails are a must-try. Their locally sourced baked treats are super tasty and if you're enjoying a drink during the evenings, you can't go past the burrata! Always a warm atmosphere at Bertoncello's where you never feel rushed or unwelcome. The passion is real! Keep up the great work, team.

We stumbled across this place and we're super glad we did. Sitting outside amongst the trees it felt like Europe. Great drinks menu and lovely service!

Absolutely adore this boutique bar and cafe! Amazing staff, beautiful vibe, and the best cocktails in Melbourne! When we were there last there was even a jazz band playing outside. 10/10 would recommend!!! 😍🍸☕️

Love this bar, specialising in gins and good service, with heating outside on a cold night to warm good company in a covid-safe manner in a pretty laneway space tucked away from Sydney Road. The vegetarian gluten free platter went so well with a great expresso martini. Vegan chocolate blocks on the menu too! Prices quite reasonable.

Best coffee, kindest service with the only acceptable cafe music in town. Small cafe in a quite beautiful part of town - enjoy coffee, pastries, sandwiches inside or out under the trees Thanks Michael , especially for getting us through the last two years * New! gin- and wine and nibbles evenings!

Absolutely best coffee in Melbourne. Relaxed and friendly. Cool jazz or classical in the background but not blaring. Loved it
