Good feed. Great place to celebrate my brother's 40th. We all enjoyed our dishes. We all ordered something different. I had the porterhouse. Cooked to perfection. Also, none of this paying extra for sauce rubbish.

Solid go to pub if you're in Melbourne central, perfect for a pint if you're stuck shopping or waiting for a movie session, the food is good and there's pretty much always a place to sit and chill. Lots of sport on the multiple TVs and plenty of beer options on tap. It's deceptively large inside.

Used to come to this place quite frequently and enjoyed it a lot, but I won't be coming back any more thanks to the security going on a massive power trip. Despite my friend and I not drinking much all night we were denied re-entry after leaving briefly to check on a friend, the reason being that we were "too drunk". Security offered no explanation as to what made them come to this conclusion and then proceeded to let quite intoxicated people in. I really liked this place but won't be recommending it to anyone any more.

I have been to this pub several times and it's a great place. However it's so run down I think it's time for a major renovation. The mens toilet cubicles 1 had no seat the other 1 had seat which was barely attached to the toilet. Torn leather seats, carpet stains everywhere. Also what I have noticed that the food servings used to be generous but my most recent visits the food portions have gotten smaller and price increases. My go to is there steak sandwich which used to be generous now it's way smaller and even smaller serving of chips. $25 I would be happy to pay $18 at best.

This is a nice place to hang around with friends. It has various of drinks and finger foods. Staffs are superb friendly. The manager is very responsive. The venue is clean and sofa is comfortable to seat. The DJ plays great music too. However, it doesnt have female bartender, but i still love the place. Thank you.

First visit tonight after playing sim golf next door and couldn't have a better experience. Went for wing night. It wasn’t really wing night we just called it that. We can be fun like that. The chicken wings and calamari were amazing and the loaded chips were great. Great prices and phenomenal BBQ wings, exceptional service so quick with drink and wings I thought I was being Punk'd. I'll be back this was a great experience service and food and price to value. Truly, we want to keep going back and trying other menu items because we had such a good time. It was a very delicious and marvellous dinner! Our server Alec was extremely friendly and professional, his service was simply excellent! We enjoyed our time a lot and will definitely come back again! Let us know when you’re headed there and we would love to tag along!

Order by scanning QR Code did not work. Did all the sign up with too many details. Had to choose a password which I already forgot. For some reason was not able to save. When finally got the the pay now page, it crashed. Ordered at the bar was no problem. Place was not busy for a late lunch. The Osso Bucco would have benefited from further cooking. Maybe a better choice for dinner. Now I just hope that I do not get many emails. I did not tick the box to receive offers.

Cool place to hang out. Very high tech since of Corona. Very polite and quick service. Food was yummy as well.

A very enjoyable classic pub lunch experience, nestled inside QV. A notch above for the quality of food. Inside and internal terrace 'outside seating. Cosy, friendly staff. My fried calamari was light and tender. Generous servings. We shared nachos & pizza, both delicious. Pizza crust was lights and crispy, quite authentically Italian. Everyone was happy with their meal. The osso bucco was top notch and got a thumbs up from someone who knows their osso's! And even the mash was good. Finished with few beers & a chardy made it an overall great pub lunch experience. Haven't been there at night, but looked like there was a stage area for a band. A repeat favourite with the crew.

Good bar to have a drink. The music is the same every day. Not a good place for those with good taste in music and atmosphere. 3/10 of my openness to the dance atmosphere.

It's a pleasant place to spend some time. The staff were great- knew how to pull a good pint of Guinness! The manager kindly changed the channel to one we requested and to top it off the food was good! I had the calamari- tender and juicy, with a generous portion of chips and salad. My son had the Southern fried chicken burger, which he totally enjoyed. I'd definitely go again.

Staff were very accommodating and happy to switch channels on tv to game requested. Good deals on drinks.

My boyfriend’s mum and I had a night of shopping on Thursday night and were looking to get a nice steak dinner after all our shopping. The service was very good everyone was kind to us, and the $25 Steak special was amazing ! Food was a 10/10.

Amazing affordable place to eat the food worth every cent they charge I tried there sauges made me cry cause they were just like how my auntie who died made them same flavour and everything made me have flash backs to the most happy memory's of my childhood the only thing I can't fault them for is they only in Melbourne and I live on Central Coast in another state and this restaurant could take down the bigger restaurant if they had places open all around Australia thank you so much for giving me a taste from my childhood that I have been missing so much . The staff member are wonderful and place open late so you can go to a late movie then eat at this wonderful place

Really lovely environment and yummy food. Got a bit confused on just walking in and sitting wherever, but after that, it was lovely.

I couldn't recommend this place more!!! Firstly I had to call up like 5 times to deal with questions my dad had about a footy game viewing and they couldn't of been more accommodating everytime I called. They gave us a great booth to watch the game and the food was so good!. I ate my carbonara too quickly to take a photo but I got a photo of my partner's pizza which was also amazing. All in all the Melbourne Central Lion is definitely a place to come for a great pub feed, good drinks and a great vibe!

Great place for a pint and a bite to eat. I went for the vegetarian nachos and a Corona to wash it down. A selection of beers and cider on tap. Comfy couches. Not really a sports fan which is more the crowds that this pub's aimed at but have had many a good catch ups with mates here.

There is no better place than to be at the Lion Hotel to watch Matilda’s play against England. Although it was disappointing that Matilda’s lost- but the service at Lion Hotel scored 5 “goals”. It was full house and jammed packed and the service team served with courtesy… well done Lion Hotel Team!

Typical English pub with traditional English food and beer on tap. Nice atmosphere and family friendly. Antique furniture inside.

Love coming here, been coming for the past couple of years. Never disappointed, staff & security are always friendly.

My go to sports pub when in Melbourne. The service is good and the food is fresh and delicious. Good atmosphere. Located conveniently in Melbourne Central on the 4th floor. You can leave the partner there whilst you go and shop. Lots of screens to watch sports on. No music blaring in the background which is a bonus. Two different bars. Only downside is the toilets are a bit run down and the main meals are a bit expensive.

Although the place itself was fine for that pub vibe the food was a big disappointment! Paying $26 for a Burger I would expect a decent size with more in it than just the basics. There was probably about 12 chips on my plate that were just ok. Maybe other things on the menu are more impressive but what I ordered absolutely was not and that's what my review is based on. What I had would be worth $13-$15 Max!

Cosy English style pub with lots of comfy couches and seating...really good selection of drinks on tap with friendly staff...food leaves a little to be desired but reasonably priced...if you're a sports fan you are well catered for with plenty of screens showing live sport...the staff will even put whatever you'd like to watch on the screen nearest your seat

Had a chicken Parma for dinner. The cheese was burnt and the chicken was super dry. There was little to no dressing on the salad. Had a hard time eating it. The price was similar to other restaurants ($28), but I won't eat from there again. A good place go watch sports though. Been here multiple times but this is the first time I've had dinner here. The atmosphere is chill. They have a DJ later on the night, followed by a live band. Again, great atmosphere, free entry, good drinks, sports are on, but the food, I won't eat from here again.

If you're in the mall or around the area, and are looking for a single beer or to watch a game then you're covered. There wasn't anything particularly wrong with this establishment - the interior is charming and they have a respectable selection of food and drink, however my beers were realistically overpriced and a game of pool set me back $5. I can understand why this place was full of what looked like hard-working businessmen and why the band was over an hour late to play their set of covers, just like last time.

Food was not great at all, certainly not worth the price. Seating was good. The waiters seemed to not know what they were doing. Our table ordered multiple drinks and they brought out one but didn't even know what drink it was! Had to go back to check the order. I would avoid the steak, very poor quality. Atmosphere is nice

This place is one of the best place with vibe and during weekends it is always crowded and kitchen closes soon so best time to enjoy your food is weekdays and their Wednesday kg wings for $12 offer is the best

I've been here many times for quick drinks before catching a movie at Hoyts. I love the beer selection and the staff is always friendly. On my recent visit, I decided to try their food, and we ordered the Scotch Fillet with chips, salad, and mushroom sauce on the side; and Nachos with chili beef. Even though I ordered it medium well, the steak was well cooked and very chewy. The nachos were nice, and I enjoyed them. They also make amazing chicken wings!

Went to this place for the first time looking for a friend that was inside I was looking around and couldn't find them. Approached this security guard inside with the most demented nose and asked if there was other seating areas than just here and he's like with some attitude go ask the waiters. Yet a simple question yet this guys life must be so depressing with that nose that he has to take his poor attitude out on nice people. I found my friend and said we are going the security is usless and very rude and left

Convenient location, reasonably priced drinks and decent service. There's even an option to order at the table via QR code. Security at the front are nice. Pretty sure there's a DJ playing on Saturday nights (There was one when I went) which is a bonus. Plenty of TV screens showing sports and pool tables in the back. Super spacious so there's plenty of space to walk around without bumping into anyone.

Great pub with friendly staffs and great atmosphere. There is seating available indoor as well as outdoor. Retro style leathery cushions and table plus pool table on one side and dance floor on other. Serving drinks done in central area and the seats are placed all around. Barrel shaped table as well which adds to its beauty.

Great place , would recommend going on Fridays instead of Saturdays coz the place is more free and can enjoy food and drinks with large groups faster.

The place is good and good ambiance, in a good location but the food sucked big time. Had a Parma and Schnitzel and didn’t like it 1 bit. Also they need to get pest control, saw a small cockroach on the sofa next to ours..

Had my birthday here recently (not using the function rooms, just booked a table) and had the best night ever. Great drinks (strawberry daiquiri was insanely good), fun bar staff and fantastic ambience. The band who played were also brilliant. Overall, I’ll always rate you guys at 10/10

Beautiful Venue and great priced beers, however the female bartender needs to learn better customer service skills and put on a bit of a smile. As a bartender myself I know its not always easy to fake it till you make it, so to speak. However been in this venue twice and both times she has put a damper on the mood. Everyone else, exceptional, would highly recommend

Four of us came to the Lion's Club in Melbourne Central on a Friday night. Thank you for the shots, great DJ and live music, and an awesome opportunity to have a boogie on the dancefloor! I will definitely be back.

A great place for Trivia on Tuesday nights and such a fun night. The Bar staff are super friendly every night, with outstanding service and I keep being introduced to new and delicious shots. The food is so tasty and of excellent quality, though I wish there were a couple more entrees, ie. spring rolls (duck), non-spicy wings, ribs and oysters...just a thought! Sometimes the music is a little unnecessarily loud and the DJ seems to be deaf and oblivious lol However, it's a terrific place to go to.

Mediocre… we came here for lunch and the place was not particularly busy but they struggled to bring us our food promptly. Portions were small and food was average. QR ordering system did not work. Service was alright - the waiters tried their best

I expected a lot better than what I experienced. Torn and worn old leather couches. Surly bar service and overpriced food. For Melbourne Central location this place should be a significantly better experience. Supposed to be an English style pub but could not get a dark beer even in a stubby and they had run out of Guiness!!!! REALLY!!! $40-$48 for a basic steak is over the top. I had steak sandwich for $25 and for what was on the plate should have been about $18-20 at best. Won't be back.

Staff got out of there way to miss gender my friends. I've never been so forcibly called a guy then here. This was not a normal experience. Food wise: They use something extremely sweet on the chips, there to get you to order more beers. it's a horrible flavour. Parma was stale?

Had an amazing time here and staff were super friendly! Happy hour was great and got the tip to purchase the pool games through the machine as it's slightly cheaper, recommend the fries as they absolutely slapped. The best part was walking out mid afternoon drunk through the shopping mall back to our accommodation! Would definitely recommend 👌

Honestly, the place is amazing and beautiful. The ambiance of the restaurant or bar is beyond expectation. The food is delicious and of high quality. The Moroccan spice lamb was so great.

Friendly staff behind the counter. Very organized even though they were busy on cup day. A very multicultural crowd.
