So we have always loved EXTRA SPACE STORAGE. We have had an Extra Space Storage unit out of state for eight + years in Florida and in other states. We recently moved our storage unit to 8890 SW 72nd STREET in Miami. Christopher Horta was great when we moved in. All good so far. Extra Space lured us in with a reasonable monthly fee of around $50, yet very shortly after this the monthly rent MORE THAN DOUBLES to over $100 per month. How can that be? It feels so dishonest. EXTRA SPACE claims it is a "market" adjustment, but I can go online and rent the exact same size storage unit (in this same facility) for the same $50 rent we signed up for. To make matters worse, the 5 foot x 5 foot unit we rented isn't even the size published nor contracted. I had to measure it, yes, almost ONE foot less! I know the small print says that size may vary, but ONE foot on a five foot unit is unreasonable. This just does NOT feel fair, nor right. At move in we were also charged for a lock which was never delivered to our storage unit. Really? There is more, but I will not bore you with all of that. We responded to Emily from EXTRA SPACE STORAGE but no response in almost two weeks.

The moment I walked in the office I was greeted with a “welcome and a smile”. Poliane was the agent that helped me. She is very professional, helpful and knowledgeable. She showed me the unit that I was looking for. The unit was clean, ready to move in my items. Truly it was a pleasure doing business with Poliane.

I have been with Extra Storage for one year. It has been an easy experience since they have wonderful staff who treat you like a valued customer. This place is extremely clean. They have so many security measures that I'm not afraid to be on the premises at any time. Highly recommend this place!

I came to this storage to pick up something however I had no access in, as I was was waiting for the person that had access to the locker I was fortunately lucky to have 2 of the most kindest employees at the store. Allen, and Poliane have welcomed me inside the store to cool down from that 💯 degree temperature 🤒 outside. They were very friendly and professional as well, the place is very clean, spacious, and safe. they were very helpful to accommodate your needs. If you need any storage at sunset 🌅 please don’t look anywhere else but at Extra Space Storage.

Security is lacking. Gates have not worked since I rented. Tried to enter my units and online access didn’t work. Even though it said office was open it was not. Had a hard time getting through to support. When I did finally get through he transferred me back to the main menu. Horrible experience! Hoping it gets better!

We came with reservations, and Joaquin & Allan helped us out. VERY informative and knowledgeable, gave us a tour of the facility (which is well maintained), it was a great first impression. Also wanted to mention the friendliness of both representatives, felt like we were friends from awhile back, instead of just meeting them for the first time. Would definitely recommend anyone needing storage services to come here.

All of our belongings in this storage have gotten a mold growth (furniture, shoes, clothes). It smells bad and it's humid. They don't control the humidity in the space and it even says it in the contract that they are providing a climate controlled unit but they don't guarantee the humidity level won't promote mold growth. And if there's mold, they are not liable. I don't recommend this storage. They also increased their monthly charges by 100% over a period of 6 months, because they also include in their contract they can increase their rates monthly to whatever they want. So you could be paying $250 one month, and then $500 a month 6 months later.

Excellent service, super clean, well lit and cameras everywhere. Carts are a good size for most things and the elevators are roomy. I like the access methods instead of a key entry. Fairly priced for my unit and very easily accessible. I even bought the insurance coverage since it was quite reasonable. I highly recommend them!

My husband and I have had a great experience at your Sunset Dr facility here in Miami. Margie and Chris have been so pleasant and helpful! Great customer service. The property is clean and well maintained. ALMOST makes moving fun, but definitely make it easier!❤️🌹🌹🌹

Great experience, in and out process with help from Orlando the assistant manager. Literally took 10-15 minutes from showing me the unit to finalizing the lease.

Had to move all of my belongings out of my apartment in a rush. Looked at about 7 other storage facilities but ended up picking this one because of price, location, and the fact that the units were drive-up accessible (which was my biggest concern). The manager on duty was so much help to me, he called me multiple times to ensure I knew how to get to the unit, answered any questions I had, and even called me before he left for the night to tell me how to open the storage door (because they tend to get stuck sometimes). Overall had a great experience here and saved me the headache of dealing with multiple storied indoor storage units. Will be recommending to anyone I know in the area!

Service was excellent. The price to rent storage is too expensive, but Orlando was great and highly informative.
