Revised rating here. The units were recently burgled. My unit was broken into as well, and the insurance coverage that is $14 monthly is useless. It's a scam and when you see what's covered you'll agree. I asked for a 1-month waiver of fees as my unit was trashed by burglars looking for money, etc, and the manager, D. Ortiz, would not cooperate. They also raised their rental rates shortly after the burglary. I would go across the street or somewhere that is more secure, the units at Life Storage are basically no more secure than a beer can and can be accessed easily. Attached is a photo -- you can see where the latch was pried open. Find a place more secure!

Amazing customer service. Regla the Associate Store Manager Goes out of her way to help you find the right space. They are attentive and follow up. Great hours for move in and out and competitive prices. We looked at several options and this was the best choice for sure.

Dealing with the staff has been wonderful! Dealing with people today seems to be so problematic. Not the case here, Ragla and David have been terrific.

Unit was spacious and clean. The on site CSR’s were responsive and very clear About when late fees would be charged. The only 2 things not too exciting to me: 1). The first time I used the elevator, I entered the access code incorrectly after the doors closed. They would NOT reopen…it was late on a Sunday, no one was on site and I was stuck for minutes until I figured out how to enter the code correctly…At the very least, the elevator door should have just reopened. 2). Now that we are in daylight savings time, it gets dark early. Their sensors need to come on a little quicker. It feels like the car has to be right under the parking structure before lights come on. Other than those 2 things, it was a good experience. A great choice for affordable climate controlled storage. All of my items came out in the exact condition in which they were stored over 1 year ago.

Clean, well lit, well maintained facility. The assistant manager was especially helpful and very professional.

Regla did a great job of answering all our questions and helping us find the right storage unit for our needs. She was very helpful and informative and made the sign up process very quick and easy.

My mother in law rented a space it was clean property nice facility no issues only wish the lady at counter was more friendly and didn’t feel like she was not original felt like dealing with a robot no personality not even smile or and facial expressions that she was glad that we we where there she needs to work on her people skills, she didn’t even introduce her self the experience was awkward but other than that love my storage great place 5 stars on the storage

Life Storage South Miami is the best storage in town hands down. Henry at the front desk is the nicest person I have ever met. He helped me find movers same day. After the movers I hired didn’t show up. Hands down a great experience!

Moving can be a though experience, but Regla made it all stress free. She kindly helped me with the reservation and assisted me with all the information i needed to make the move . I am very thankful for her welcoming customer attention and support

Elevators are malfunctioning. I got stuck in the elevator with my child and the emergency button didn’t even work. I had to call 911. Horrible experience, I would not recommend.

Great start of the contract with Life Storage. Regla was very helpful setting the account and going through the details of accessing the storage. Contract signature tool less than 5 minutes.

Superb customer service. Bonnie was very helpful and informative. The computer was down, but she guided me through the rental process through my phone. It was quick and easy to navigate and had everything done in just a few minutes. Had a little welcome package in my unit, I think it was a nice gesture. Highly recommend it.

After visiting several storage facilities in the area, we went to Life Storage to compare facilities, management and prices. We were greeted by the Manager, Regla Vega. Regla was welcoming and provided us with a personal tour of the facility and spent considerable time explaining all of the specifics of the property, the rental agreement, insurance, etc. Her level of professionalism was definitely a "cut above" the other storage facilities we visited. The facility is clean, secure and the prices are competitive; however, what sold me on renting space for my belongings at Life Storage was the professionalism of the management and the seamless ease with which we were able to rent a unit. I highly recommend Life Storage, but particularly, this location because of Regla Vega.

This is my first time renting storage space from Life Storage and it has been a great experience so far. Reserving a unit online was quick and easy and there was plenty of communication confirming that the size met my needs. Regla helped me with all the paperwork and took the time to show me the storage space and answer all of my questions. Super excellent service, clean, safe and quite comfortable. They have enough Carts to move your things. Enough lighting and their online rental service is good.
